Can someone help with loose throttle cables? Keeps being weird when I hit 2.5 RPMS doesn’t act up every time but it happens half the time send help plz
I HAVE 2 OR p t CRUISER 2005 TURBO AND 2006 AND BOUH HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM CHECK ENGEN LIGTH COME BACK i replace al parts codes been show and when the check engender trun off for a few days work fine but later trun on again and the transmicion don't make the changes and spot working the miles meter I
What causes the throttle position sensor to fail? I have a 2004 cruiser and it just went into limp mode plus it has thrown the shift out of whack on the transmission which has me confused. Today it went out of limp mode but still has shift messed up. Tried clearing the code fault but it will not clear the tps is still keeping it from shifting correctly
How do you know the TPS sensor went bad? They are just variable resistors whose carbon wipers can wear out or the varistor wears and gets dead spots. There is a shift position sensor I believe, perhaps shifter bushings bad? shift position sensor bad? We had a chrysler minivan that went into limp mode due to tranny input / output speed sensors bad / covered in oily metal gunk stuck to sensor possibly by magnetism messing up sensor readings. Might have also replaced a PCM on that one, not positive (powertrain control module {computer})
Justin Ive cut up some foam from shipping material, it looks similar. do you know if it needs to allow good air flow or is it really just to get some oil to it like a sponge?
The part number is 5066076AA . Put it into ebay search. It is no longer sold by Chrysler and only dealers have these that they sell on ebay. They call it a PCV sponge, but who knows why. The Chrysler manual actually calls it a makeup filter. It is the filter UNDER the air filter in the corner and it is a tiny white sponge.
Thanks dude, I will go check.

Have you checked the transmission relay
Can you send link to pre filter? I don't have one it's 2001 pt 2.4 non turbo
I got one from the junkyard. I imagine any lawnmower coarse sponge type filter should work

I've been looking for this foam filter but can't find anywhere. Anyone would happen to know the part number or where to find it?
Find a local you pull it junkyard. Cut up/layered filters for lawnmowers should be fine too.

It neds to breath to create the proper vacuum. Get a cheap lawnmower filter foam.

Local JiffyLubes sell these as well
What do you call that small filter inside the air box?
Oil separator air filter? A lawnmower air filter should work
