      Man, it’s a pleasure to be able to share what I find. Hearing from people such as yourself make creating these videos all worth it. Hopefully my luck will continue and I will be able to continue sharing what I’ve been blessed with. Thank you for taking the time to check it out and for leaving a comment so humbling to read.

    The layout and execution of your videos remaons timeless man. As much as i like finding the stuff myself of course, videos like yours here are endlessly interesting and exciting to watch. Its great motivation to go hunt obviously lol its just the way you have quiet sounds of the riverbank during the finds, the fact youre showing every angle of the artifacts is something 99% of people dont do! They let the exxcitement of the find overtake any and all composure to film the damn things lol clean, clear videos and photos of each find, without music drowning out thought, thats something 99% of folks with channels and doing videos, arent doing. The artifacts are soeaking for themselves as much as thats possible through a video, it doesnt get much better format honestly. TN is one hell of a plwce to live for an artifact hunter.

    • @Points365
      @Points365  3 місяці тому +1

      Dude, I really appreciate that. I’ve found that people tend to either really enjoy, or really dislike the style I go with. Typically it’s the people that are truly interested in artifacts that enjoy them. They like letting all the angles of the artifact, every break, and flake speak for itself as you said. It always cracks me up when I seemingly so often get a comment from someone saying I spend too much time looking at each artifact.. I enjoy reminding them how easy UA-cam makes it for people to quickly fast forward! Haha
      Agreed on the TN artifacts as well! You’re a TN boy aren’t you? Or somewhere around here if I remember correctly.

      That’s part of what I love about getting out on the hunt.. you never know what you’ll stumble upon! Speaking of the dovetail.. found another real nice one there last wknd. Tip still intact! That makes the 3rd one found at this particular site this year. It’ll be in one of my upcoming videos of course.. maybe not the next one though. I’m a little backlogged from not posting any videos for a couple months! Haha thanks again and as always for coming back to watch and comment on the vid!

    Salut My Friend,
    I hope all is well in your neck of the woods, it has been awhile since I have had the pleasure of inquiring.... though, I must say; this video made that wait all worthwhile, now that I see you are out and mobile, healthy and walking the creeks!
    Quite an interesting charm you found, thank goodness you weren't accosted by scarab beetles fetching that trinket up! So many great points to boot, and one of the best double picks I have ever seen! ....what a rarity! But you know, I think each artifact has it's own merit regardless their shape, both exquisite and rough in form. You must feel similarly, the care you give that allows the viewer full access to every angle.... one can see how each flake came loose, finish honing sharp the implement; that is ever appreciated!
    Sending good cheer as always, may you and yours be found amply Blessed!

      Thanks as always my friend! It’s been slow going this year compared to previous years, but they have been slowly found nonetheless. I’m backlogged on making videos for sure. I have enough new finds to make a couple more videos, but it seems like it takes me longer to put together a video than it does actually getting out and finding them! I’ve had to switch over to boots now… that time of year.☹️ But I agree with you on the Egyptian pendant. I found one similar online in an old catalog that dated from 1895-1905. I believe it’s probably from that period. Thanks again and as always for watching and commenting!

I’ve got a piece I found recently that will probably be in my next video that I’d like your thoughts on. You seem to know your fossils and whatnot pretty good. I found a chunk of sandstone I believe that has what looks like a petrified rib cage on one side. Big ribs too! I went back to that spot again and found all kinds of rocks in that one relatively small area with strange fossils on them, including many more with what look like ribs on them. I thought I would put it in the next video to try and get some thoughts on it from people. I sent pics of it to the geology / paleontology dept at a local college, thinking they might be interested in having a look at them. They never responded. 😒

    Bro, every day you post a video is a good day. Your channel is one of my favorites as you find all the same types and materials I find too. You've got a lot of epic sites to cover man, seriously impressive and I envy your ability to find stuff of this caliber consistently. River is tough with higher density population, always someone else footprints covering the best sites. That dovetail is a fkn sight for sore eyes even with the tip knick. Don't see tons of dovetails mid state really.

    • @Points365

      Thanks man, I really appreciate that. But I tell ya, it’s getting harder every year to keep the top notch stuff coming. Seems like a couple years ago everyone decided to take up artifact hunting as a hobby. Like you said… it’s footprint after footprint pretty much everywhere. I’m convinced people just walk and and every bank. But Ive found plenty of stuff in someone else’s footprints, so it doesn’t deter me from looking. Agreed on the doves. They seem to be few and far between. I only have a handful of them, all of which have mostly come from 1 particular spot. Funny thing is, that particular site sucks 99% of the time.. but when it produces it’s usually nice! Thanks for the comment man, I enjoy hearing from the locals. Man… that digging is some hard work! Rewarding, but hard. But as far how I find them… it really comes down to miles and miles under my belt. You can read the terrain, dirt color, and natural landmarks to help minimize the amount of miles you walk. But just getting out and walking creeks, lakes, rivers, and ditches is my go to. Water movement is what washes them out. Follow the water and you’ll eventually start finding them! What part of TN you in?

    I have a smqll library detailing all north American visitors. "Michigan copper culture" describes exploratory Egyptian and Polynesian coywges in search of precious resources such as Michigan copper and other things like spices and furs ect, and there is smoke to this theory.
    I can elaborate and refer you to certain other collaborative artifact finds.
    Long story short, if you're not scamming us with some ebay garbage, you're holding something that will be destroyed by the Smithsonian if you give it up.
    -Have it checked at an antiques or rare artifacts show, but don't disclose the location ECT. Say you got it in a lot of collectible antiques at a shop in Rhode island and it stuck out or something and you wanted to verify its authenticity ECT.
    Could be $35,000 to a private collector. Dig the site of finding as well

    • @Points365
      @Points365  2 роки тому

      I fully believe that there was all kinds of contact that happened pre European settlement. As you mentioned, I believe the Smithsonian etc. keep their thumb on history that would rewrite history. As much as I hoped it would be something to verify a history unbeknownst to us, thanks to the people that watch and comment helping me identify artifacts, I was led in the right direction to its identity. After doing more research in the right area, it appeared to be a possible Egyptian revival watch fob. I found one similar in a sale ad dated between 1895-1905. Still a neat find I think! Thanks for the insightful input, I do appreciate everyone that chimes in with thoughts on artifacts I find. Thanks for taking the time to check it out as well!
