Clive is an absolute genius! I got to meet him in the 80s at a book signing! A wonderfully intense and kind soul! We talked about Lovecraft for quite a while.

What an absolute delight to see a coenobite reunion, Clive Barker is one of my favourite authors & as far as I’m concerned there is only 1 pinhead the incomparable Doug Bradley 😱

So jealous... I know that Doug Bradley says he's not going to be in any more conventions until the pandemic and the restrictions end, due to limited attendance which I totally understand... They have canceled every single concert and festival in event in California since this crap started. But it is my dream one day to meet Doug.

Thanks for this. I was there and misread the schedule on the app I thought this was supposed to be 7pm Sunday. I guess I should've known they would never do this late on a Sunday. Anyway when I realized it was happening I walked over n sat down just as Clive was leaving. So really thanks for this I was dying to know what I missed.

Why there R cuts in video?
The camera we had with us has a time limit on video filming and while we attempted to start/stop the recording between question answers or during applause, sometimes guest responses went a little long.

I'm happy Clive's voice is better but man, he looks rather rough. Is he dying? :(
He has not looked really healthy for a long time, like even before 2000. I'd be surprised if it was all due only to the ravages of cigar smoking but who knows; of course that is possible. But when we see interviews with him in the late 1980's it is a different person altogether, and not just from regular aging. I'm not familiar with his lifestyle over the years, like whether he had dalliances with drugs or had a stroke at one point. His voice sounds better here in this 2019 footage than I had expected. I understand he had had surgery to remove throat polyps at one time. His voice changed in the 1990's and never recovered totally.
He did hard drugs for a long time and has also been HIV positive for a long time.

Around 10 years ago he was in a coma from toxic shock due to a dentist procedure gone wrong. I believe the event and the recovery did indeed age him quite a bit. Also, here he's nearly 70! I hope I'm this enthusiastic when I'm that age.

In the movies the female cenobite was slim and Butterball was bigger and years later in real-life Butterball is slimmer and the female cenobite is bigger, now that's irony.
