You do not need to open frunk to jump start. Cigarette lighter port will jump just fine.
FYI, WD40 is a solvent, not a lubricant... WD 40 does make lubricants...use those instead. Very good tips otherwise. My Porsche 997.2 also has a similar frunk release. When I store the car, I always leave the frunk ajar, in case my battery tender fails and my battery runs down.
