The Best Thing To Move Logs With For Tractors or Loaders?..Frostbite Grapple on a Bobcat Skid Steer!

  • Watch The Frost Bite Log grapple safely unload and position logs from the 6 speed 6.7 Cummins and Flat bed/Log trailer!
It is attached to a T590 Bobcat, and is the best thing I have had an opportunity to use yet!
I really like how it doesn't flop around like a log will in a traditional grapple rake or worse yet,..on forks!

Great! I hope it works well for you! Ours does a great job-we are currently make some attachment points for it now to fit the 244J John Deere. the burnouts got here a few weeks ago, wrapped up the mounting for the forks last week- very excited for you! What are you mounting them to?

It will be going on my John Deere 318D wheel skid steer. I have a 1967 Ford 3000 diesel tractor that I have plans to use as a round lift for the splitter. I bought a three point hitch and will add on a 3x3 foot ~ flat surface for the rounds to set on. Back the tractor up into place and lift the rounds into place for the splitter. I just reach over the splitter and snag one with the pickaroon then pull it onto the splitter, real easy like.
Getting too old to be picking up 20 x 15 inch fir log rounds and keeping my back happy. Really looking forward to getting it tomorrow. It may be delayed but gratification delayed can be even sweeter sometimes.

You can adjust the sensitivity DP1-DP3 by toggling the left joystick at startup 🚜🪵👍🏼🇱🇷

Thanks for checking it out! It does a great job. I really like the control it offers.
-the logs don't wiggle around like they can on some other grapples. If you are passing through the WV area and want to try it out in person, you are more than welcome to stop by. I really enjoy your videos, I've been watching them for years! Keep up the great work!

You can feather that switch, I do it all the time on my 590 with a grapple, just push it slow.

Why did he park so far away from the stack of logs?

    • @aroundtheshop9615

It is a pretty tight parking lot, not exactly the best situation for log handling and storage.

I think I got it figured out. Different logs are going different places so he parked in the middle. Yes/no?

subscribed also...will that open far enough to pick up a 4' dia. log?...5' dia log? I own a tree service and have a 19' s650.

I'm not sure if it would handle a log of that size....I'll open it up and try it on some bigger stuff when the opportunity arises!! It would definitely be good to know the upper limit of the grapple!!
