    Excellent! Skid steer repairs are my favourite vids! Enjoyed watching the exploratory surgery on the bobcat. Like other commentators, I'm really looking forward to the next parts. Thanks for filming.

    I really wish I could find a mini diesel skid to rebuild. Every single one I've come across has been way overpriced, to the point of being high-risk gambling. my smallest a lahman little dipper is still too wide for gates. nice work. thanks for the video

      It's definitely always risky buying broken equipment, especially when they don't run

      Could have, no real signs of roll-over on the machine though

    They used those 3cyl Kubota's in alot of old lighting plants mate, before the new battery ones came out. If for some reason you need another one, it might be a place to look.

      @jaydnp.  14 годин тому

      From what I've found out, it's a bobcat specific kubota motor

    After you've cleaned it up, could you check the bottom, just in case?
    In case some of the rod actually did hit it and maaaby dented/cracked/chipped/abraded somewhere. idk, I'm just asking.

    • @jaydnp.
      @jaydnp.  23 години тому +1

      Definitely, it will need a good inspection before it gets put back together.

    That amount of crank endfloat was worrying. That big end shell was worn on the edges because of that.
    Great engine though.

    If it’s not got any power from the engine, Then how come the hydraulic bobtach is been moved to lift the front wheels off the ground,

  • @gregreinhardt1293
    @gregreinhardt1293 День тому

    that rod snapped off because of over fueling. the injector likely overloaded the cylinder. you'll need a complete rebuild. get the three pistons, rings, and bearings. also, get the head, pump, and injectors rebuilt. don't go cheap or you'll be rebuilding it again soon.

    • @jaydnp.
      @jaydnp.  23 години тому

      Agree was most likely a fuel issue. Shame it hurt the motor
