    People deserve a second chance to become a productive member of society. If these things are put in place it will just course reoffenses and off back to the pen which had long term costs and implication on the whole. I think everyone has a story and we all need to be supportive of people to help them reintegrate.

    Getting tagged after finishing a prison sentence. A tracker knowing where you are and alerts security if you leave your property after a certain time and then you will be escorted back to prison. If that's not a police-state I don't know what is.

      probation doesnt mean your sentence is done. it just means theyre letting you out to see if you can behave and if you can theyll let you stay outside.. its not "finished". its more like "finished IF youre good."....

      Accept the consequences of your actions. I don’t feel controlled by police at all, but then again, I don’t commit crime. There is a pattern emerging here.

    You were away for 14 months total. How long did you spend in cat b, cat c and did you do any time in a cat d prison?
    Haven't got round to watching all of your videos yet so don't know if you've covered this yet. Very impressed with what I've seen so far. Keep up the good work.

      mikepg . I spent about 8 months in a cat b, 1 in a cat c, and the rest of my sentence (about 5 months) in a cat d prison. I did cover it in other videos, but happy to answer you :) Thanks for the comments ;)

    Is solitary confinement used in uk prisons if it is how often is it used and how do you even end up in solitary confinement

      yes i anytime it kicks off or someones caught for drugs or something like that you go to the block. Which is solitary your not supposed to be there for more than say 2 weeks but some are their long term or permenantly

    For how long will you be on licence?

    • @JackHill1
      @JackHill1  10 років тому +1

      Hey Minu Only a couple more months. Typically, you are on license for as long as your sentence is. So I got 3 years sentence, did 14 months inside and the remaining 22 months on HDC (tag) and license with probation meetings etc. Thanks for the comment :-)

    Wow, I'm surprised you could go back to university and get a job and stuff. I always thought once you were an ex-convict that nobody would hire you apart from perhaps the lowest manual labour jobs at minimal wage. And back to university? They let that? That's awesome.

    i got tag instead of jail i dunno why it was but basicly i got drunk one night and my ex girlfriend started with me and i lost all will to live and stole my nanas car and sort of crashed it slightly, i had no licence or insurence so i was arrested then up at court after and instead of jail i got tag and that was only for 3 month, i got off lightly

      xXkizza11Xx Thanks for sharing. I'm glad nothing serious happened and no one was hurt. Tags are just a bit annoying, but as compared to prison, they are delightful :) Take it easy :)
