most prisons i know wear 'prison greys'.which are t shirts like the one you had with ID on front,but grey and grey sweat pants.but i was in a private prison,so even getting prison clothes,they are often just civvy clothes that have been left or donated.also people have their own clothes brought in and wear those.they also buy clothes from the 'very' catalogue(or other approved sellers)that have to be saved for as they are very expensive.But you do get trainer envy so your trainers size and make are marked and only you can be seen wearing them-no swapsies or selling of trainers.they confiscated my trainers for a while when i was on suicide watch and then some screw threw them out.they give you like school pumps to wear but i have trouble with my arches so they are very painful.i had some new ones sent in and the prison compensated me,but not the full price.they went online and found the cheapest price for the ones they had thrown out and compensated me only that much.but that's private prisons for you.they don't give things away.and you were lucky to be allowed to take one home.usually even if it's all you have to wear cos you were dragged in naked,they insist that you send it back or you can be done for theft of prison property.My advice is get some plain,no brand trainers and wear prison greys-don't fuck up your own clothes whilst working and don't stand out.
Hello Jack, I have watched most of your vlogs and have found them fascinating. My ex partner is currently serving 3 months for domestic abuse. I can understand why you would feel prison clothing may be demeaning, however, I feel some comfort in the fact that he is actually receiving some punishment. I was beaten many times over a 6 year period. Hope you understand.

there was this scottish 'lass' who was quite a big girl,who would wear skin tight lycra all the time.she sold drugs and tried to hide them in her clothes but you could see everything she had on her.so she spent a fair bit of time down the block in her training gear-just a funny anecdote
I miss prison, I had a better standard of living in prison than I do out here. I wish I could back and not even joking. But I wish I could go back to how it was for the last six months of my sentence where I knew everyone and I wasnt watching my back. Kinda sad how I WANT to go to prison.
+adda hebburn They put up a Christmas tree in the central hexagonal landing and even put little Christmas presents in what I assume was to take the piss. They had a raffle and a special Christmas menu but that was pretty much it and one of the prizes was a razor blade amazingly. Plus they only gave me one pig in a blanket when any sane person would give two.
