Honda Vision 110 Re-build: Its had paint!

- In this video I give a quick catch up on whats been done over the festive period and whats coming next.
The 2018 Honda Vision 110 esp featured in this video has lived its life in a damp garage when not commuting through the worst of Scottish weather. The salt had damaged the paint and the whole front end needed replacing due to salt damage.
More videos on this scooter are coming soon when I progress with the rebuild.

Hello all. I tried something different with the upload today. I uploaded in 720p to see if there would be much difference in the quality as most people watch on a tablet or an iPad I'm led to believe. Lets see what its like and best regards.

Thanks Nick. It is going well this one after a slow start. Once it has an MOT it will be a very up-together scooter for someone. I still love mine after 17500 miles of commuting and it sounds as good as the day it was new.

It’s funny Simon, for the past decade it seems the world is obsessed with 1080p HD this and that (me included) and yet, the 720p is fine for most that use smaller devices to view. I might play with it some more and probably stick with it for this type of video.

Another really good video - thanks Simon. Yes, I like the look of my exhaust paint scheme. I think it looks better than all black without being bling. The silver top coat is also starting to indicate that rust is starting to form so I will remove and repaint in the warmer weather.

I had a really good day yesterday on the Vision and probably there’s enough content for at least three more uploads. I have some more Vision files for you also. I’ll have to send them over soon.

Yes it’s looking good. The paint did a nice job of giving the frame a good layer of protection. With all of the work I’ve done, I was tempted to keep this one and sell mine. MOT hopefully next week and a new scooter arriving on Monday. Happy times 🤘
New scooter (Vespa)? Lol.sounds like a plan Simon, at least you are keeping a cracker mate.
Not a Vespa Paul. I’ve gone Japanese again but not Honda. All will be revealed this week if the purchase goes well 😉

Are you going to do valve clearances as you have easy access atm ?
Yes I will go right through all of the major service maintenance Chas. I have done them on this scooter before mind but good to be thorough. The other nice thing to note about this model is the access is really easy for valve checks. Seat out, small panel in front of seat out and you are in. You need to remove the fan cover also but it’s a ten minute job.

I'm going to sell it Lawrence. If all goes well, I have another scooter arriving next week. This scooter is actually much further along in the repair process than you see here.
