    Excellent video, very detailed.
    It's great that you have specified the tightening torques for the engine and transmission drain and fill screws.
    Thank you very much and greetings.

    Nice machine! I commuted on something similar for years, there's usually space under the seat for storage and the front fairing usually does a decent job of keeping wind/rain off your legs and feet. Peace of mind with the service too👍

    Thank you for your video, my horn has failed to operate, I just recently found where it is located on my Vision 110. But I don't know the order of the panels to gain access to it.

      I bought the sump plug washer and gauze filter cover o-ring from a Honda motorcycle dealer. They had them in stock. I didn’t change the final drive bolt washers as I didn’t feel the need.

    I overfilled my MkII Escort with engine oil in the '80s. Everywhere I went, I left a huge, white smoke screen. But, like the idiot that I was, I soldiered on.

    Did it take the extra final drive oil because the bike wasn't level? Or does the manual say to check the oil level whist on the centre stand?

    • @autoknight747
      @autoknight747  Рік тому +1

      The handbook didn’t state re. the level being check on the centre stand. I thought exactly the same and did consider getting it off the stand and allowing sone to drain out. Then I thought if more than 20ml came out I’d be worried so decided to leave it. Being a perfectionist can sometimes be curse!

    For anyone looking to do an oil change using this Motul 10w 30 4T scooter oil, it's not MB but actually MA, on the back of the container it states MA, it's impossible for it to be both, so i contacted Opei Oils and their response was this.
    "Hello,
    Thanks for the message, this is an MA-rated Oil which is fine to use instead of an MB, the other way around would not be safe and would cause issues.
    MA can be used in place of an MB.
    MB cannot be used in place of an MA.
    MB provides up to a 3% Fuel Efficiency increase.
    Unfortunately, I am unsure as to why Motul have done this, as it is very confusing."

    haha, I've never seen anyone use a torque wrench doing up a sump plugs ( also the gloves, LOL ).

    • @autoknight747
      @autoknight747  Рік тому

      It’s not that unusual. Using a torque wrench is better than stripping out threads on aluminium casings. Dealerships I worked for started providing gloves from the mid ‘90s and we all wore them. Before that it was barrier cream. If you work with vehicles all day you need to protect hands - mess them up and you can’t work. Used engine oils are carcinogenic, after all.
