I've got the Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer as well as the Losi Super Rock Rey (which is nearly identical to the SBR). The UDR handles full throttle just fine with TSM at just a hair under 50% on 6s power. The SRR is 0% controllable with 8s power on 100%. 70% is a little better and 30% seems to be perfect. The UDR is much more controllable on pavement and is fine on loose terrain. The Losi on pavement is a no go, loose stuff with AVC off does pretty well. You can't go wrong with either of these RCs, but remember that the Losi is 1/6 scale while the UDR is 1/7. The Losi can handle more power, but isn't needed to have a blast. The UDR on the other hand is more fun on the max it's capable of handling (6s), but as well, isn't needed. Both have their weaknesses, probably more on the Traxxas, but are easily mended. The trailing arms and the front driveshaft are first to go (I changed them out for aluminum trailing arms, and steel driveshaft as soon as I pulled it out of the box), and the Losi has a very weak servo saver. To date (after upgrades) I've only broke front bumper on the Losi, and stripped the rear diff ring and pinion on the UDR. The UDR is close to 75-80% upgrades and about half of it was changed the day I got it. A lot of the parts I've changed aren't broken regularly like the front arms and upper shock mounts for example, but any time I've seen videos of people breaking anything, I changed it right away before I did the same. The Losi doesn't have any upgrades yet as I've only had it for three weeks now, the UDR I had for about a year.
@@AzTurboMini The Losi has been a great RC. The diff case is now changed as well as the bell crank and servo. The most annoying part about the Losi is that rocks get trapped between the servo arm and the front splash shield or against the bell crank. I've broken an arm, servo went dead, stripped the front diff (why I invested in the aluminum diff housing). Any other breaks are mostly cosmetic. If you get one, make sure you have standard as well as metric for the hardware as it seems to have a mixture of both on it. Since the comment you replied to, I also added two super Baja Reys to the collection, but one went to my brother. He has a lot of fun with his, I've not used mine. I've got plans to make it 16s capable with a TP Power motor. I won't run it on 16s butt the ESC is a very high quality product and will work perfectly running it on 8s and occasionally 12s. If you are on the fence about either the SBR or the SRR and that's why you asked, I can assure you that you will like them.
I still have my RC Monster truck I got in 1991, has not been out of the storage box since about 1993. Back then a lot of money went into the controller , charger, and batteries. Oil filled shocks I think were $30 each. The big rubber with real tread tires, you air them up with a syringe type air pump thingy. Tires were about $40 each. Big body for it purchased naked. Clear plastic where you paint on the underside and because of the gloss of plastic turned out looking like the paint job on a real truck. I worked for Pepsi at the time as a route delivery driver so of course I made it a Mountain Dew themed Monster Truck. Sorry for the long story here. Just re-living the past. I am wondering if the controller and charger are worth anywhere near the money I put into them 26-27 years ago. I put the truck away after a bad crash messing up all of the front suspension I know that.

Cool video comparison! I have a SBR 2.0 and when I first got the car it was very hard to control…very squirrely like the one in the video but worse at times! I have to wait until I get paid in order to play with my car. Carfirst battery seconds. I have a question. Right the Bajaj Rey is bigger, but the udr is more scaled it seems to drive better and anyway you will not goes as that fast because you don’t have the control at this speed and unless you want to destroy it there’s no fun like this .
I like the Desert racer style trucks both look really good. I don't see the point of an on road drag race with this style of RC. Get both trucks in the dirt on some kind of a track and do this kind of test! Even so it's still an uneven comparison with different scales there not going to handel the same.
Under 150$ and good camera doesn't exist imo. No drone good at videoing (with a gimble) exists in that price range. You can get some with decent cameras but they dont include a gimble.
The Losi is just wider, which is what the UDR should have been. Lois comes with a crap remote control included. Wish my UDR didn't roll so easily! The UDR is about detail and is a Trophy Truck! The Losi is more of a Basher Truck!
Be careful everyone, it’s just a matter of time before the Federal Transportation safety Commission makes you go to class and get registered as a licensed RC driver ! It’s coming, just like it did for drones !
I own both, and the Losi is by far the better setup, almost indestructible and is nice and large. The Traxxas looks better, but breaks almost every time I use it, needs a lot of upgrades to make it perform anywhere close to the Losi (larger pinion, metal rear diff rebuild to remove posi, and metal control arms). The Traxxas needs constant maintenance to keep it running. The Losi I beat on all summer long and only needed to replace a steering tie rod. Both are fun, no doubt, but the Losi is the far better platform all around.
Question: I've had my Bugs 4W for about 1 month. Was out and about flying, hit return to home, plummeted straight into the lake I was flying over. Anything I can do?
You more than likely hit the KILL THE MOTORS button. Very common. Drones do not fall out of the sky unless either a prop falls off, the pilot hits the KILL THE MOTORS button or the battery comes loose. On the BUGS the button you probably pushed was the RED button to start and stop the motors instead of the return to home. It is so very common an occurence.

Get both trucks in the dirt on some kind of a track and do this kind of test! Even so it's still an uneven comparison with different scales there not going to handel the same.
Great vid, keep up the good work
green one kicked ass in a big way, a lot better car
What are you using for telemetry?
You mean the GPS? That is pulled from the GoPro.
What go pro model has that speed and compass features? Love the vid
The Hero 5, 6 and 7 have it.
Thank you I love the speed run brother!
Get dumbo or radio link transmitters they have real working abs and 400-600 meter range and they are cheap.
Do you have the top speed gearing in the udr tho?
Because I think it can go faster than this with 6s
Both were stock out of the box in order to keep things fair. As soon as you modify one, you have to modify the other.
CAPTAIN DRONE oh okey thanks for the info
I noticed your veloster car my mom recently bought one
My old 2013 Veloster, still running strong.
Very helpful video! Nice 👍
Are you guys in Europe? Kpa?
We are in Canada
That was my second guess Haha.
now remember the sbr can do 8s, and it has a big brother, called the Losi 5ive -T ;D even pricier.
Traxxas unlimited desert racer is 1/7
Super Baja is 1/6
RCunexttuesday have both these cars and they even jump them both they def prefer the Losi SBR 👍👍👍
Mojave vs test???
Nice video 👍🏿
Should i get an electric or gas?
Electric, less maintenance, more torque. Easier to run all around.
Gas is very fun but it is also a bit noisy (sounds like a dirt bike) and more messy. You can run much longer on Gas (over 30 mins) per tank.
Hi which is best drone under 150$having gps and a very good quality camera
You can start here: ua-cam.com/video/oigQjPJcYps/v-deo.html
Under 150$ and good camera doesn't exist imo.
No drone good at videoing (with a gimble) exists in that price range.
You can get some with decent cameras but they dont include a gimble.
The Losi is just wider, which is what the UDR should have been. Lois comes with a crap remote control included. Wish my UDR didn't roll so easily!
The UDR is about detail and is a Trophy Truck! The Losi is more of a Basher Truck!
Huh I like spectrum better than traxxas remotes just me though.
I have the UDR and it gets around 45-50 mph for me I love RC cars and the UDR is fast
My friend
How much is this remote controlled car.
I want to buy it?
You'll have to check the links below the video or go to the TRAXXAS website or visit your hobby shop.
How much does it cost in euros
@@yassinezeriouh1778 it's probably about 700 euros but used is cheaper
Be careful everyone, it’s just a matter of time before the Federal Transportation safety Commission makes you go to class and get registered as a licensed RC driver ! It’s coming, just like it did for drones !
If there is money in it, the FAA will have a piece of it. :-)
If there is money in it I'll want a piece of it.
Until then.🤘😎✌️
Boyz havin' fun !!! it's what RC modellin' is all about !! - sorry girls, you are welcome to join in if you want to you know?? 😍😍👍👍😎😎
Both are fun, no doubt, but the Losi is the far better platform all around.
super les gars, j'ai vraiment aimé...merci
Put some high burst batteries in the udr probably get an extra 10mph
No it's all gearing. UDR is geared low from the factory.
Can runtime get shittier?
You guys are really crazy... 😜😁😊Super👍
Yah. Buy a different drone.
Damn that sucks bro ouch
Why don't you have the new Veloster n.
What do electric RC cars guy do after 15-30 minutes of run time? Do they spend hundreds of dollars on extra batteries? 3 batteries to make this run.
Once you get into the RC hobby you will have 2 or 3 battery chargers and about 20 different batteries of all shapes and sizes.
Not a good video for us looking thru a go pro
both are awesome,thanks for sharing
Love the sideways power slide!
Why not 10800mah.
Mah is battery life you need something with like 50c discharge rate that's what makes a change in speed
You have the avc set too high on the losi
Lol great speed runs guys, sounds like you both had great fun 👍
