I highly recommend adding plates to the rear chassis to stop the flex. Then change out shock fluid to 70k. And adjust preload to 5mm front and 10mm rear. It transforms this truck. I wasn’t a fan of mine at first. I love it now after doing those things. I also removed one rear spare tire and changed the location to flat mounted. They no longer smack the ground. And the truck soaks up landings better, plus a little lighter in the rear end

That new battery tray is so much better then the original SBR. The original you had a little lever you had to slide which you would almost have to hit to get it to move and it could barely fit 2 batteries

Handles a lot better than the other desert truck models. I saw videos on the UDR and Mojave. Mojave definitely handles better, but both suck compared to this beast. I'm sure the increased size has a lot to do with it, but the design and tuning certainly play a role.

I think your gear mesh may be a little tight. Could be just the audio though. This truck is pretty dang good looking. I have the V1 and right now I'm content. I also have the Super Rock Rey. All three of which are nearly identical in build load out. The body styling on the 2.0 is on par with that of the UDR. I still wouldn't trade my UDR for the SBR 2.0. Yes, stock for stock the SBR is a lot tougher, but that also uses components that take just a little away from the scale looks. I enjoy my UDR just as much as any other RC (excluding my Losi 5ive T which is far superior in every aspect) but all have their niches. I guess the $900 price tag is right on par as the UDR is currently (at least last I looked) at $749. I bought my UDR for $699, I think second batch. Wasn't long after release I bought it. I picked up two V1 BND SBR's for $499 and that is a steal, hense why I bought 2. If I had to pick between the SBR V1 or the Super Rock Rey, I'd have to go with the SRR. Regardless, all that I've mentioned are a LOT of fun in their own ways. The 5ive T though is a completely different animal. Very durable for a 40 pound RC, run times will be in the hours with a quick 10-15 second refill of fuel all on the same 2 cell lipo. Can even run with smaller electrics very easily on a technical course. Definitely handles being geared up better than many of my electric RCs.
