It looks like you're trying to give Santa just a hint of what you'd like for Christmas. 😂 Another excellent content video. Have you heard where the ZR1 LT5 actually has 865hp? Then GM puts a supercharger on it and dumbs it down to 755hp. 🤔 I'll be curious to see what the after-market builders do with this motor when they finally get a hold of one. Save the Wave and don't forget to leave out milk and cookies for Santa. You never know what might be in his sled. 😂
Sharing Lungs the deals are there already. How’s $10,000 off MSRP. They’ll stop making them soon and I bet prices will hold at MSRP. Two dealers told me that.
Excellent well explained info on corvette. Love your videos because of the clear cut straight to the point info and details. I always come to your channel for corvette news and updates 👍
Thanks for allowing me to get a good overview of the entire C7 lineup to present. I have a 2013 C6 and haven't had a chance to really catch up with the C7 model lineup. Now I feel up to date. I sat in a 2016 Z06 with 2LZ. It's a awesomely advanced super car without the fickle, faceless and uber expensive servicing of a Euro of similar performance. And, like mine at it's inception, it's a fraction of the cost of anything equivalent from Europe. And probably a helluva lot more reliable. I know mine's been extremely reliable after 6 years of nearly constant driving.
@@Sandy-oy2lr thanks for your reply. We were chatting earlier and my other screen name is Re3iRtH. So I looked into this 2003 60th anniversary convertible Z06 for sale at 62K, 9800 miles. The guy worked as an engineer for Cummins diesel for 40 years and he sent out both the heads and bottom end for various repairs, I've checked with two other mechanics and they said he generally did all the right things. My only hesitation is normally the heads have the issue with those cars but he also noticed some metal shavings in the oil so he replaced the connecting rods and rebuild the bottom end a bit. Now supposedly the car is bulletproof. However, the 62K is a bit steep for the c6 z06 but do you think the anniversary edition is likely to hold its value more than a plain old c7 z06? I generally love the feel of manual cars with little driving assist as I owned an S2000 for 4 years and it was like the ideal car for me.
@@Sandy-oy2lr I will also add that this guy has all of the head and block repairs done at American Heritage and he has a binder full of everything done to the car. You could tell he rebuilt the car, but had maybe some money troubles but didn't really want to drive the car to the fullest, and is looking to cash in while used cars are up. I have to drive 4 hours to New York City area and my friend needs to drive another 6 hours each way to upstate New York to take a look at this 60th anniversary Z06 I mentioned.

I have posted on some sites and wanted to share here for LS7 owners. By getting your oil analyzed you can catch valve guide wear BEFORE it drops a valve. I did in my Ron Fellows. I got oil data every oil change. At 11,000 miles there was a tiny amount of Titanium in the oil. The grew at 17,000 miles and at 22,000 miles it was alarming. I paid to have the heads pulled. GM warranty inspector Declared no damage, I paid to removed the valve springs. He saw the intake valves fall out of the head. Authorized replacement heads and valves. $7,000 total cost paid by GM. Zero Engine damage. Still running strong. If you drive an LS7 motor get the oil tested. I used Blackstone Laboratories. There were very astute and helpful in seeing the issue and guiding me on what to do. I am not associated with them or anyone. I am a retired engineer. I bought a salvage Ron Fellows to save the car. Had its body repaired and loved my dream car. Saving the original motor was a big deal for me. I hope you feel the same with you LS7. Stay safe. Dennis I know oil testing saves engines.
This was far from a complete overview to help new buyers. The C7 is far and way the best entry level Corvette ever. And the 3LT w/Z51 is even better. Unfortunate you skipped over it and talked about how great the 2LT was for you. Here’s my advice to potential new Corvette buyers. If you’re going to buy one don’t buy a stripped one with the less expensive manual (you can get a manual with the 3LT) and no amenities. The 3LT is loading and virtually every option will make you very happy to have. Yes, compared to average cars, Corvettes are expensive but remember its not an average car so why option it with few options. If you can’t afford a new 3LT look for a used 3LT. Don’t buy a1LT or 2LT. Just compare the options between them and if you can live without the 3LT Z51 options, ok it’s your choice. I hope you don’t regret it.

Cole?
I absolutely love the big wing on the new ZR1. FYI: I've seen it in person. Great video, but I didn't see anything about the convertible option/pricing. Drop top ZR1 for me!

Well done video. As a 2015 C7 owner you did a very good job of explaining the major and minor differences from the base unit to the ZR1.
+ACRR46 Thank you 👍 I appreciate the feedback!
Hey man, learn the difference between "wheelbase" and "track width".
The ZR1 wheels look like crap
ironcityblue I agree and the base ZR1 1ZR package doesn’t have the equipment my 17 Grand Sport has.
Yeah I agree!

Correct
Oh, yeah, completely agree!

This was just what I needed without needing to go over and over lists of stuff on Chevy's website or something, thanks =)
I just picked up a 2008 c6z06 with 12k miles and couldn't be happier! Red with black interior. I drove a few stingrays but the z06 felt more aggressive and saved about 10k. Just upgraded to a pioneer double din with android auto front and rear backup cameras and it feels more like a modern car now!
