    I love the series, but I find it VERY difficult to understand some words and sentences because some of the words are not completely pronounced, such as: mannen, open, kunnen, etc. The Dutch drop the end "n", so the sentences end up sounding like one continuous word...and often, the "s" sounds close to a "sh" sound.

      Yes, this is a feature of Dutch from the Netherlands, they tend to omit the final -n in the ending "-en" and to pronounce the S sound slightly different than what we generally associate with this letter. But hey, every language has its peculiarities, so just let's enjoy it in its whole. :D

      @@jaskatpon1 😂 Ist es sehr schwierig, eine Sprache mit Artikeln zu lernen, wenn man als Muttersprache 'ne Sprache spricht, die selber keine hat?! Das hab ich mich nämlich immer gefragt, aber ich konnte es selber nie beurteilen! :D

    What's difference between "geen" and "niet"?

    • @BobWitlox
      @BobWitlox 2 роки тому +2

      Niet means not. Geen means no (as in "not any").

    • @EasyDutch
      @EasyDutch  2 роки тому +5

      "geen" is used for the negation of nouns (substantives) and "niet" to negate all of the rest. :D Comparable to English:
      I have no idea. = Ik heb geen idee.
      I don't know. = Ik weet het niet.
      So:
      geen = no
      niet = not
      😊
