You all prolly dont care but does someone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot the password. I love any tricks you can offer me
@Jayce Lane Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and im trying it out now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
I really appreciate that when you speak Dutch you say the words clearly. I have a very low level of Dutch but it's nice to practice picking out words and guessing the meaning and grammar structure just from listening.
Omg, do you really think someone can get bored with your classes? Not at all! They're superb and you're an amazing teacher. I couldn't even blink whilst watchin it. Would you make some more videos about it? Thanks!
I just started learning dutch on my own, Watched your videos and took notes, These are actually so useful and easy to understand, love the way you teach!!
SUBTITLES for this video now also available in FRENCH, ARABIC, PORTUGUESE, SPANISH 😍(do you want to translate into your language as well? Please contact me!)
Kim, I am so glad I found your videos!!! Your amazing talent for teaching Dutch has been so helpful to me! Not only have you been helping me to much better understand some of the most confusing parts of learning Dutch that Babbel does not explain, your slower, very concise and clear speech has been helping me to greatly improve my listening skills! I really appreciate you!
Hi everyone, maybe I talk a bit fast in this video. Then please activate the English or Dutch captions! Also: for which words it's hard for you to remember which article they have?
You are incredible Kim! I’m learning Dutch and am hoping to afford my own personal Dutch tutor one day. But I am learning so much from you!! You do this so well!
Dank je wel, Kim. Mijn naam is Andy. Ik ben geen Nederlander, ik ben een Amerikaner. Ik leer Nederlands dus ik kan met de mensen in Curaçao sprekken. Ik weet dat de Nederlanderen Engels sprekken, maar ik wil met zijn sprekken in Nederlands want ik heb Nederlands leren op DuoLingo voor vier maanden nu. Ik ga naar Curaçao dus ik kan mijn broer zien. Ik ga daar met mijn moeder, en, het wordt supergezellig! Dank je wel, Kim. Kun je me begrijpen?
Thanks so much. I have never seen someone explain the het and de in such way. I am often told - remember them all one by one, which is practically impossible - it took me 15 years to master English to native level without having two "the". ;)
This was VERY useful! Dank je wel. I am learning Dutch on Duolingo at the moment and I continually fail on putting DE or HET on the correct words. I will subscribe to this channel and use in addition as it explains a lot of the difficulties a lot better than Duolingo does. I also strongly agree with the comment below about you speaking the Dutch words very clearly; it really helps to pick the words out.
I'm also learning Dutch on Duo. Something helping me now is to learn singular nouns along with their article. It helped me a lot when learning German. Another thing is to choose a colour for the ’het' words and another for the 'de' ones.
I'd like to thank you so much. This is the first time I find a very detailed explanation and comprehensive summary about 'de' and 'het' in usage. I want to subscribe to your channel because of this video.
I'm half dutch but have very little connection with my heritage so I'm trying to learn the language and hopefully surprise my mom's side of the family with it. This video is very helpful so thank you! Wish me luck!
Ik hoop dat je rustiger bent, niet in woorden, je spreekt langzaam en duidelijk. Maar je voelt je niet kalm, je mengt Engels en Nederlands samen met de geluiden van een paar gebaren. Dit is echt verwarrend voor mij. Alvast bedanken
Thank you very much Kim for the video. You are the only one that helped me to understand how to use them! Your list is very useful and for sure I will be there looking for those topics that are helping me with my beginner level.
This general classification of het and de words and the exceptions are very useful to know, but to use correct forms fluently in a sentence as you speak is only possible with training yourself to recognize what sounds right and what doesn't, as you do it in your native language without thinking of rules. But thanks in any case for making this video. I studied Dutch living in the Netherlands in the early nineties and don't recall this topic being presented to us in such a categorized way in the language school I attended. But I also have to compliment that evening language school. More than 30 years have passed and I still completely understand all of your lessons where you speak only Dutch.
voor iemand die nederlandstaalig is, heeft dit me zekker goed geholpen! hartelijk bedankt voor uw lessen. (en nochtans uw heeft me zeker goed wakker gehouden)
I started to learn Dutch this year and you have helped me so SOOOO much! Thank you so much for your lessons! They are really helpful, and the idea of speaking Dutch with subtitles is AWESOME! I have some ideas for the channel, if you don't mind hahaha Some ideas are 1)making vocabulary videos (for example, a lesson about animals and about animals common in Neederlands) 2) A vlog (this helps A LOT with our vocabulary, cuz is useful for our lives) 3) specific topics you enjoy speaking Dutch (makeup, books, etc) Well, just some ideas! Sending you love from Brazil🇧🇷 xoxo❤️
Thank you for your nice message! Great to hear :) and I like the ideas, especially about a vlog. It will take a bit before I’ll start that, but I want to do that for sure. Have a nice day!
I am in love with your videos! ^^ You are amazing!!! I have been studying dutch by myself and I am feeling much more confident watching your videos!!! Thank you a lot!!!
I wish I could give more than one 'like'. So much work in this video and extremely helpful! I love that you speak in Dutch and I have the option to use the subtitles. It's more difficult for me because I just started learning Dutch a day ago but it's the way I enjoy learning a language. And I also know that it's additional work, having to add subtitles, so extra thanks to you.
Thank you for adding the subtitles! As an spanish speaker gal, wanting to learn Dutch, is easier to understand your useful lessons in my native language than using "HET Engels" as my "bridge" language 🤣. Dank je wel.
I am a one week Dutch learner, I find the language really fun and exciting, there is a lot of similarity between it and English, my native language is Arabic, although I love learning languages. Your channel gives me knowledge and make nederlands easier, dank u wel
Hartelijk dank voor deze video, mijn leerlingen vragen mij altijd naar grammaticale regels voor de en het, ik kan hen eindelijk naar een al bestaande video toesturen!
Excellent explanation ! The vibe that you bring to the whole lesson is the added value.... until now I have been learning with Duolingo and reading books... but learning with a teacher that explains everything in so much detail it’s better... keep up the good work! 🌷😊

I shared one of your videos with my dutch friends only to check what I wanted to learn, but they all agree that you speak too much and that makes it a little bit hard to follow for amateurs but I love your energy so much that I can’t stop 😄😄🍰
Hi, thanks for your videos and your amazing explanations. My mother tongue is Spanish, I speak English and I’m learning German (B2), I want to learn Dutch because I want to live in Rotterdam next year, it’s gonna be a big challenge to learn Dutch but I think I can manage it... Wish me luck.
Bedankt hiervoor! Ik ben op m'n achtste naar Nederland verhuisd (23 jaar geleden) en dit blijft mijn buitenlandse roots verraden. Vooral de abstractere categorieën en uitzonderingen. Kim you are so lovely. No need to thank us, you deserve it :)) your videos are such high quality, and one can tell you put serious work into making them. Your courses also have very attractive prices for what they offer - I'm seriously considering purchasing them. Keep up with good work!

I have learned a lot from your videos, i wish i was more consistent hahah but have been learning other laguages at the same time too. but haven't found anyone who teaches like you do, so whenever i have time i like watching them and see how much do i understand, and keep practicing.
