It's not just about poverty. Sentient life is the problem
There will always be poor ppl and antinatalism is about avoiding suffering. Antinatalism is in Ecclesiastes 4:1-3 words of wisdom to and from the wise men. If you can avoid all and any suffering, would you? Most hate getting the common cold.
I'd love to see you do that video addressing Benatar's asymmetry!
Who is that?!
@@Lmaxk007 The philosopher she mentions in the video, in her captions.
@@LawrenceAntonthank you will look it up.
@@LawrenceAntoninteresting. I listen to Steiner Rudolf and Robert sepehr is great. Gigi Young, gurdjieff. Doesn't matter to me who and why people reproduce or don't reproduce. Those are mental gymnastics and theories. Buddhism is much richer and deeper in the dualistic or asymmetrical buffoonery. Thank you.
@@Lmaxk007Benatar's Asymmetry Argument is a deepity. We ALL already didn't exist, yet a life was still imposed. Therefore, not existing is incapable of stopping a life from being imposed. Therefore, not existing cannot be better.
The attitude of bringing a child into existence as a means to an end comes from a position of privilege.
Not necessarily. Some people have kids to use them for free labour as an escape from poverty.
@@gontlemanggeneral-segolodi5222I don't think the OP meant privilege in terms of financial status. But privilege as in I have the tools to create a whole new person, so why not?
No one asked to be born, suffer, and die. Life is a great harm!
I already didn't exist... Clearly, not existing is incapable of stopping a life from being imposed... Otherwise I wouldn't be here. Therefore, not existing cannot be better.
Life is force and eternal rather human or not. You cant stop it. Life is evil and we love the trauma and the drama but all that ends with the antinatalist. The world is mad more or less and the madness for the pursuit of happiness ends with them.

all you have to do is not ejaculate inside a warm V. It's really not that hard to grasp.
Great video. I don't get why the decision to have children or not generates the grossest takes possible. Childless by choice is fine- the operative word being CHOICE. There's honestly a lot of childism that comes into play as well, which you've talked about in other videos.
It's the first time I heard of this word antinatalism. If I wanted to know about it, I'd go to a different channel. Just sayinnnnn
I agree that not having a children should be a choice but we need safe and effective methods of BC and a society that doesn’t shame people for not having children.
Antinatalism is simply an ethical perspective. It isn't about dictating to certain people whether they have children or not, like the creator of the video mistakenly believes.
Also, you're far more likely to find childism in childfree circles than antinatalist ones, because antinatalists form a large percentage of the very few people in society who actually consider the impacts of procreation on children themselves and have a lot of empathy for children. Child haters in antinatalist communities are usually sternly denounced for their views, because that is not what antinatalism is about.
Where does colonialism and the desire to oppress come from? All behavior is defined at some level by our biology, so I could see someone saying that poverty/violence is a natural result of the world in which we live in. Why don’t people sing kumbaya all day? Why is it difficult to acquire resources and make a living? The natural world is not easily manipulated for human purposes. If the world was a good place, then why don’t we have some element that gives us limitless energy rather than the fossil fuel problem? Etc etc I don’t think these arguments are lazy
