I really admire her. She was very courageous in accomplishing things that were hard to do in her time, especially for women. The things she did for poor children was done by a pure love for God. I'm glad she is in such a beautiful place. No wonder it attracts a lot of tourists. Thank you, Sue, for sharing her story with us.
The last words of Nano Nagle were, "Love one another as you have hitherto done. Spend yourselves for the poor". We need more women, men and children like her today. Nano Nagle ora pro nobis (Nano Nagle, pray for us.) Thanks so very much for another lovely video, Sue. We luv ya! Peace be with you and also with your Spirit.
On a secondary note, I care for a 1st class relic of St. Ursula the foundress of the Ursalines as well as the relics of 9 other saints here in my home. They are kept in a crucifix and it is kept in a reliquary box on a marble altar. And yes! Beautiful words indeed, Sue! Nano Nagle was a lovely, Holy woman. A saint as far as I'm concerned. Thank you for taking us to see her today. "Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth" - Mathew 5:5
I love your channel and I love your accent! Are used to work in funeral service, and I really appreciate the reverence and respect you show towards the deceased and their memory. Just an all-around great channel and what a beautiful cemetery!
Thank you for this wonderful visit to Nano Naglestomb and commemorative gardens. What a beautiful place and what an amazing woman. She deserves a Sainthood I’m sure. Thank you Sue, this was fascinating. Xxx
Such a gorgeous place to visit and a very beautiful place for an exceptionally rare and kind woman to rest. Thank you for taking us there Sue, and God bless ❤xx Teresa ~ 🇦🇺❤
As we say in the US about fearless people like her she has ice water running through her veins. I admire most nun. I'm of one of the Protestant religions so I look to the nuns when I’m lacking courage. I hope I’m not being blasphemous Sue. I mean nothing but the utmost respect à d love for these ladies. I am from Georgia US.
I went to a Presentation convent primary school in Australia in the 70's. Had a few Nuns that STILL give me the shivers. I remember learning about Nano Nagel while their student - I recognised the name straight away, even after all these years 😮
A beautiful area of Cork. Just a gorgeous presentation for Nano Nagle. A plaque on the wall and two places of burial for her and the wonderful water feature. Nano sounds like she was a head of her time and came from a loving family. My goodness those wooden doors were magnificent. Amazing workmanship you don't find very often these days. ♥️☘️
Thank you Sue for this very intersting video, this woman was an Angel!! Today she is in heaven!! Irland is a very beautiful Country, take care, God Bless!! Denis from France...
What a beautiful place and such an amazing history. She was certainly a saint to bring education to the children. The Celtic cross for her is breathtaking. Your tribute to her is outstanding, Sue. RIP Sr. Nagle. I always look at last names on tombstones in county Cork for my Bowman and Flowers ancestors. Lovely area. I just dream of walking down a street in Ireland like that. Thank you for sharing this with us all.
A stunning resting place, may they all rest in peace.. Thank you so much Sue for allowing us a glimpse and for the telling of the story fascinating.. thank you again.
Cool looking convent. An extraordinary lady, may she rest in peace 🙏 Her coffin looks to be in good condition. Thank you very much for sharing this Sue and GV. Have a great weekend 😀
Such a pious and god fearing lady ,she deemed it her life’s work to help teach the poor,May she R.I.P eternal.Safe travels to you both sue,god bless,🙏🙏👋👏👏🇦🇺
Hello Sue hope your well. Lovely place, never seen headstones close together like that. She was certainly one lovely lady that just did and went the extra mile for the poor. May she rest in peace. Love and hugs to you Sue from the UK. thank you for the walk round such a beautiful place. Xxx 🌹🌹🌹
Thank you so much for visiting Nano! This is on my bucket list, but will probably never come to fruition. My birthday is April 26th … my Grammy told me stories of Nano when I was little and she gave me a little lantern for my last birthday before she passed. She said the lantern would always lead me to those in need and keep me on my path. ❤
This was a beautiful presentation! I enjoyed learning about Nano Nagel such an inspiration person who truly lived by Gods guidance! Thank you! I am from Texas near the Gulf coast!
What an absolutely wonderful story about a really special woman. And a brave one as well, to flout the law. They were far more harsh in those days if you were caught doing something they didnt agree with. Im glad she is now recognised as the truly special person she was. Thankyou for bringing her story to me. Id not heard it before. Another fabulous place. All those neatly regimented headstones... Its like a modern day place of pilgrimage which is unusual for todays world, at least in our part of the world. But what an amazing thing to be remembered for.
Thank you Sue for this instructional video on how the Irish were treated in the past by the English government. It is inspiring to hear how courageous this blessed woman Nano was. I pray that she help those who are struggling to make ends meet in Ireland, US, and all countries who are being bled by billionaires who want to control all aspects of government.
Thank You so much. From Fort Worth, Texas USA a.k.a.- Cowtown... That's such a beautiful Graveyard. I can't say that I have ever seen anything here. That would even compare to the Graveyard there. I really like the history. And hearing about Nano Nagel. ❤
Such a beautiful place. As much as I hate to say it, such a public display of a coffin here in the States would probably be frowned upon. I hope to some day take a trip overseas to your neck of the woods and get a real experience of some ancient cemeteries. Thank you for sharing.
So wonderful. ❤ I caught a glimpse of a the name of a relative, Margaret Hore, on one of the headstones in the little nuns graveyard, my maiden name is Hore. I am a fairly new subscriber & have just finished watching all the videos in your cemetery & graveyard playlist. 😊 I was quite excited too see you find a few of my relatives in your travels, especially Susannah Hore, she was very interesting! I love your channel (GV's, too!!) Cheers from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada 🇨🇦
❤Many thanks to you both❤ Now millions over the Internet can learn about what on back then and the many wonderful works to help the poor & those in need. We may not be able to touch her coffin but we can say prayers. As far as the 'poor go'-- while I watched this I made this: 1. Box of noodles. 1 can of tuna. 1 can of spinach. You cook the noodles with alittle water, then add the whole cans of tuna & spinach & add alille oil & the powder that comes with the box of noodles. It doesn't cost much & is 😋 yummy. Enjoy.❤
@@SerenitySueGraveyards Hi there Sweet Sue. If you guys ever get to America & Maryland I'll fix you some really yummy Amish food & home made bread. The eggs would come from nice folks who donate eggs to our Vet meetings at the church. Her name is Mary & her husband Jim are really nice! We Vets got together and showed up at their farm & did some chores - milking & feeding the cows, cleaning horse stalls & such. Your video here inspired us to do it We just wanted to 'show' our thank yous instead of always just 'saying it' - if that makes sense. Do you guys have the Ground Hog see or not see's his shadow thing in Ireland? Well the Ground Hog secession indicated there would be six more weeks more of winter. Silly stuff, but fun. Here's a toast to you & dear hubby🍺🥴 Please know that you're both luved. 💕
@SerenitySueGraveyards No ground hogs? WOW... They're cute little animals that make their homes underground. One lives under my pastor's shed & gets treats from the pastor and is a friendly little guy. In return for the treats/food he helps to keep pests from the pastor's garden. 😘
Wow that's one awesome video sue ... what an amazing woman to accomplish so much for the poor children and the adversity she overcame... what a beautiful woman... thank you and please stay safe from Aussie pete
So beautiful! Thank you Sister Nano for your devotion to the poor and your love of Christ ✝️✝️✝️. Sue, when you opened that door was there any odor???? So cool that you got to touch it. Beautiful place. Thank you
Wonderful video and stunning memorial, convent and religious order. Thank you for the tour, great filming Sue. As I am an older man living in St. Louis, in my lifetime have had a number of occasions to meet different sisters, very kind experiences and memories
I know you can’t tar all the Christian brothers with the same brush but the extravagance of where they’re buried would make you sad considering what emerged in later years , Nano Nagles burial place is absolutely beautiful so fitting for a true saint in the making , I will definitely visit it in the future , lovely video Sue
Thank you Sue for that nice video. She accomplished quite a bit during her life. God bless her for wanting to help wherever she could and whenever she could. Such dedication is amazing.
