Loved hearing the crunch of fallen leaves 🍁 so Autumnal!! 😊 That was a very organized cemetery. Someone back in the day, was such a great stone carver! Lovely. Thank you, Sue. I pray all is copacetic and everyone is well. 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Hey Sue. We don 't have very many grave vaults or mauseleums in Finland and the few are called grave chappels. Nobles and churchmen are buried under the church floor. Thanks for the interresting video.
The cemetery and church are lovely. I like the warm yellow tone of the paint inside the church. Makes it seem welcoming. Many churches seem to be painted white inside, but this one has rich color. Beautiful
21:08 Beautiful church and graveyard, and mausoleum. Everything seems well cared for. Sue, you have more experience with this than I do; Those flat gravestones that are broken, would that be more from passage of time than anything else? Great walking tour, thank you very much Sue and GV. Have a great day 😊
I saw a video of a man using a mirror to highlight the old inscription. Have you ever seen this before. Love your videos. Still looking for Rafferty graves. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. Hopefully I will visit my home land someday. ❤

Hi Sue. Nice video. I love your accent and voice. My best friend was Irish, but born here in the States. He always wanted to visit Ireland, but alas, he never made it. He died of a massive heart attack in 2007 at the age of 44.

Hi bonny lass, yer knaa by noo that am a Geordie 1:38 by the way aah taak. Mah Inlaws are from Ireland with the father being a Kerry man and alas the Mother being from Belfast. You can imagine the fun I had setting one off against the other. I'd just leave the hois leaving these two to argue amongst themselves. Happy days, sadly the two Rsoles aren't here now, but they're both in the same hole still arguing. 😁🤣🤣👏👏👏
This is a very pretty church Sue. I loved the inside; it was warm and inviting. The grounds were perfectly kept. I wonder what the truth was behind the lead coffins? When I see you, you will have to explain the Church of Ireland to me, okay? XO ♥️☘️
I found it comforting that the two headstones said they “fell asleep.” Such a beautiful place. I have a death certificate of a 3x great grandfather who passed in the 1890s at 48. The certificate said he was a chandelier maker.
Nice to see a mausoleum that doesn't appear to have been broken into. Beautiful church! Glad we had the chance to see the inside. A great video Sue! Take care.
Such beautiful epitaphs on those head stones. Stunning place. And I too love Autumn, especially the sound of those crunching leaves underfoot.Thank you so much Sue. God bless 🙏🇦🇺❤xx Teresa
Very interesting place. Fantastic shots inside of the crypt you're some woman for getting the perfect shot. Fantastic video Sue thanks for sharing and probably the last picture of the sun till next year 😂
Hello Sue , I’ve missed you good to see you back. So neat in that cemetery I love when cemetery’s are taken care of . The church makes me think of a Christmas ornament so pretty.
Hello from Virginia in the US- I have so enjoyed your videos and find them so serene and touching! Thanks to Grave Visitations also- quite a great pair you make! A question that popped into my head during this video tour is…As you read out all the names on the headstones around the grounds and so many of them have a stone or brick little wall around them- are all the family members buried there together… and how? I understand in a mausoleum- but buried in the same plot!?
@@SerenitySueGraveyards- there is a rule in the States that says they have to go so far down ( not the 6 feet people talk about)-and the coffins are put into another “ weather proof” container…so only one coffin per space. You can put several cremated remains of family members in small boxes on top of each other! It’s interesting to hear about the different burial customs around the world and it really causes you to stop and wonder how all our customs came about! Thank you for your answer- I will continue to enjoy your videos and appreciate the efforts you have gone through to show us cemeteries in Ireland and countries around you. ( PS- my Father’s family came over from Ireland! They were from County Mayo and the last of the Murrays in our family line passed several years ago. I’m the only one of the family who has never been to Ireland! 🙁). Blessings to all!
Nice grounds and church. Very well maintained. As for led coffins there are a lot of issues. How's the oxygen they release led into the groundwater. Lead oxide is also toxic for those working around it. Through ingestion or resperation. And if you've ever seen a can of food go bad. They also can burst. Raw human does not can well. I do note on some relocation projects.TherRemains are removed and placed in less toxic containers such as wood boxes. Then the lead reclaimed , so it does not end up in the environment.
I had a dog just like this back in the late 90s called Barney he was friendly and bonkers basically 🤣 Nice and tidy throughout this explore wonderful to see 👍
What I find strange is, when the coffins were placed in that vault. Surely they would have been put straight & neat? Over the years they appear to have moved around on their own. Odd don’t you think?
I've seen it many times, so some are vandalised or graverobbers have got in but in this case, it's probably oxidising. The gas has nowhere to go, so they explode, also the lead starts to warp too
Beautiful church that looks rustic with lovely upscale accessories lik the windows. That’s the nicest kept graveyard I’ve seen. Are lead coffins used much anymore? What is their purpose?
Hi again Sue i know that place well actually I've seen that vault open years ago the original lock 🔐 was broken at the time i was there and most of the coffins ⚰️ were in a bad state some of them were lined with zinc and others which you saw were lead
Well, yes the roots travel in all directions under ground and coffins deteriorated over time in the ground are probably full of roots . I've noticed trees/ bushes/ shrubs in open cemeteries look bright and green healthy, Not saying it's mainly because of the roots using bodies for nourishment, But one would wonder 🤔,.
Loved hearing the crunch of fallen leaves 🍁 so Autumnal!! 😊

Lead poisoning I’m gunna go with?
They look vandalised but yet the mausoleum is closed up tight

No we don’t . The only exception would be Royalty . As our Queen was interned in a lead lined coffin .
Correct

No not that I've seen, to preserve the body longer, to hopefully deter graverobbers and also to keep diseases in
