    The tail stall drill is going great! For me, the biggest battle is to deal with the coping. Go for it ! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

    good stuff! what helped me with flying out of quarters was my buddy telling me to picture that the ramp was bigger then it actually was, so instead of me riding out of a 6foot quarter i would imagine it was 6.5foot and try to suck my legs up to match the little extra..which in turn would bring my back trucks over the coping

      @Steves_SkateXplosion  4 місяці тому +1

      Yeah I heard that too. Heck maybe you mentioned it before. It’s hard for me to imagine the ramp taller. Or maybe I haven’t tried hard enough.

    Good progress. I noticed that coping in the back right before you mentioned it - bet you could roll out, do a ride on grind, and axle in from there! All stuff you’ve done so far

    great work . I think the longer wheelbase and 56mm made the Cardiel the better option

    • @Steves_SkateXplosion
      @Steves_SkateXplosion  4 місяці тому +1

      Oh right, I didn’t even think about the wheelbase, but yeah that would’ve given me a little bit more clearance. Cardiel is a pretty sweet set up.

      Just a little place to work on basics, you know. Nothing like your epic parks in California though. I’m so jealous.

    Watching your vid at the park. You got talent. Don't think I would call that a tail stall, Dallas? Maybe practicing for a tail stall, because I just went and did it. I like it but it is more like a fakie tail scrap or not a fakie ollie. I have seen/done/do people tail stall quick like that on copping but it is more setting up than stall. You really want to come all the way up like a 5050 stall or drop in or tail slide, etc. I like it and thanks because I was looking for a move like that but it does not have the complete feeling of a tail stall. I want to do more reverts in and out as well as tail stall, so I am right there with. Are we still good? For example, if I was going the other way and put my tail down, I would not call that a blunt.

      Oh yeah I’m with you. I mention in the video it’s practice on the 4’ to be able to actually do it on the 3’. At least I think I did. But either way yeah I know it’s not an actual tail stall unless it’s up on top of the coping. Heck I should be there in the next couple days hopefully. Thanks for watching and commenting dude!

    Lookin really good! I can definitely see you popping out a bit on the 4ft and then going into a 50-50 stall and dropping in on the adjacent ramp.
    Skateboarding is a GREAT workout for me as well. I would love to do it more than once a week but the only skatepark (at the moment) is 30 min away. Keep em coming!

      I’m pretty fortunate to have these parks nearby. They’re all a little banged up but still super fun and each one has its pros and cons.

      Very true! Skating is way better than running or swimming. I love it! A lot of old parks just need some fresh concrete from the decades of weather... but still you are right, better than just skating the streets.

      I didn’t realize what a great feeling skating transition is. All the pumping and swooping. You’re probably pretty good at transition I would assume.

      I was definitely better when I was younger, but I can still hold my own at 47 years old.

    Just so you know, the "50-50 drop in" is called an axle drop. Good stuff BTW

    • @Steves_SkateXplosion
      @Steves_SkateXplosion  4 місяці тому

      That’s what I was calling it before too but when I searched on UA-cam it looked like instead of axel drop they were calling it 5050 drop.

    Amazing scenes! Had you practiced tail stalls on a bank or was that the first time ever? I’m struggling to get weight distributed correctly even on a tiny bank!

    • @Steves_SkateXplosion
      @Steves_SkateXplosion  4 місяці тому +1

      I’ve done it one other time in a previous video on the 3’ that’s off camera. I think doing so many other things on quarters like that the tail stall is just coming easier.

    Man, great session! Have you tried roll ins yet? If you could get those you'd have some sweet lines in that corner combo with roll ins mixed in with the 50-50's. Roll ins are something that I really want to get eventually, they seem pretty gnarly though. Hey I posted a short of my newest deck with custom grip art, check it out if your interested.
