I spent a lot of time talking to Mrs. Space Cadet and her husband. They told me that there wasn't nearly the amount of attention for the night finishers last year. Special thanks should go to both Mrs. Space Cadet and Ali Feller who have been telling about how great the night finish is. And thank you to NYRR for recognizing all of us runners.
You said it. If you are out there for 7+hrs that's a lot of effort. You can see the story on the faces of the later finishers. Thanks for the coverage.
I’m so glad you filmed the runners that finished at night. I got chills watching them cross. Everyone has a story and I’m glad you could show us a part of theirs. So inspiring. Thanks Kofuzi! I remember watching your video last year in NY which helped inspire me to run my first marathon this year, Berlin. I’m hooked. Keep crushing it!
Your ability to tell a marathon's story is unmatched, from the front of the pack to the final finishers! So happy to be a tiny little part of it, and don't think I didn't notice the subtitle under my name 😜 Beyond stoked to have met you this weekend!
I don't comment much. I have to say outstanding video of capturing the spirit of a marathon. From the elites to the last wave of finishers. Love this video!
ESPN could never. Shoutout to the footage from night time finish, this sport is amazing because of all runners! 💞💞💞 Thanks for documenting Kofuzi as usual this video is simply brilliant.
tbh, it's a pretty terrible NYC recap in terms of results. I didn't get to the finish line, and I had no idea why certain athletes DNF'd of where. but I hope that I have done the race justice in terms of showing what it's like to be here.
Oh my... I'm crying watching the night finishers 😢😢😢 So much spirit. The running community showing up for every type of runner is heart warming. ❤ Yay Slow runners!!!! We exist!
From watching the craziness of speed from the elites, to pacing Herm with such fabulous words of encouragement to the heartfelt applause of respect for those that finished at the end, this is the video that just keeps on giving. Thankyou @kofuzi Thankyou 🙏🏼
OMG. Goosebumps! As regular runners, we always aspire to be one of the fast, strong finishers and go after our PBs. But you highlighting the late finishers was so inspiring and brilliant. Thank you so much.
Remarkable job to take us through the race featuring the professionals all the way to the back of the pack. NYCM is a huge celebration of life and grit.
This truly captured the marathon better than any video I’ve ever seen. I loved how you celebrated every type of marathon runner. Watching the runners who finished at night had me in tears. So inspirational! Keep up the awesome content. It truly keeps me going. ❤
Loved how you stayed for the runners at night, truly inspiring and it reflects the nature of this sport! Also loved how your videos really showed how FAST the elites are going! Usually TV broadcast give the wrong idea about how fast their pace is.
This felt like the All-Star game of running creators....such a great job of searching and capturing so many folks and the vibes of the city, and to capture those folks who worked so hard 10+ hours in. And tbf, looks like you probably logged a good 10k-20k on the day. Great job!!
that's the magic of a marathon. my tracker was broken for half the day, so Drew and I just found a random spot and started cheering on runners. and somehow, we found more people than we ever imagined we would
Thanks Mike for cheering us all on at the marathon the other day (and thanks again for helping pace at the Fleet Feet shakeout on Friday)! Just watched your marathon footage, and now realize it was your voice I heard offering us encouragement in East Harlem when I was with the 3:05 pace group. You can just make out me and my Front Runners teammate Kester (bib 667) trailing the 3:05 cluster at that spot! Happy to report that in the end I time-qualified for Chicago 2024 after all, finishing my first-ever marathon in a time of 3:03:46. What an amazing experience it was. Thanks again for all that you do to inspire runners of all abilities. Hope we can cross paths again soon in Chicago! - Jason (Brooklyn, bib 3036, Front Runners New York)
A veritable who’s who in the running community we know from YT! I always appreciate the name labels since I don’t recognize all of them. As usual the editing is terrific, and you captured the full range of experiences without giving too much weight to the pros (who we see over and over elsewhere) over the gamut of everyday runners. The slowest ones arriving in the dark were most moving of all.
Beautiful video, for me the standout was the grit and determination to finish no matter what by the runners at the end. The editing with the history of the race was a great touch.
What a great video! Especially at the end, the finishers at the very end of the race, that never ever get any airtime. Thank you for staying to cheer them on and video them 🙏
On behalf of those of us who could not be there, THANK YOU for sharing this remarkable day!!! Keep up the great work!!! Love all of your videos and everything you bring to the community
Wow, your footage of the NYC Marathon is amazing. you are an elite content creator definitely. Especially at marathon events like this! Keep up your good work @kofuzi. You are the best!!!
Thank you for this awesome video and covering so many runners and not just the elite. loved the whole vibe and felt like i was running with them :) loved how people got excited and came to take a selfie forgetting the race :)
What a great day it was for this marathon. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. Congratulations to all our runners, this was truly an amazing day.
It took me nearly 5 hours and I gave it my all, therefore the amount of respect I have for the people on this course who were giving it their all for hours longer than I did is indescribable. For all participants who left it all out there, I hope you gained even more from it, and accomplished what you wanted.
Bloody hell Mike. This is some of your best work yet.Really well put together footage and music.I got so emotional watching this. And I’ve never even done NYCM.👏👏👏👏
Kofuzi!!! The NYC Marathon was an absolute thrill of a lifetime. Thanks for documenting it! It was a pleasure to give you a high 5 at the Believe in the Run shakeout!!!
Thanks Kofuzi, watching this video inspires me to come all the way from Australia to run the NYC marathon. The support and energy from the crowd is unbelievable! Ok now it’s time me to get up and start moving!
Oh, Kofuzi! This video is tremendous! If you could bottle up the feeling that you captured during the last 90 seconds of your video, you'd be a VERY rich man! Thanks for sticking around until the end to allow those of us who weren't there in person to experience some of those champions in action. SO moving. SO inspirational. SO good!
Beautiful capture of the marathon. From the amazing pros all the way to the inspiring back of the pack and everything in between sprinkled with humbling history along the way. Great take on the best day of the year for NYC! 🗽🍎🏃♂️
I feel like running a marathon in 4-6 hours is great and all but the people that really impress me are the ones that finish it after everyone else has gone home. They never quit, often times they aren’t the most athletically gifted and they have every chance to turn around and they don’t. They never quit. They are the real champs…..
Great video Kofuzi! I'm spoiled as I live down the street from the Barclay Center in Brooklyn or mile 8 and always watching my wife run it (#8 for her) and then jumping on the subway up to Central Park to catch her at 24 mile on 90st Street entering the park. This "really" captures the essence of it from so many point of view.
Run, Cheering & Film content with DSLR, GoPro & Hphone, you are truly Inspiring and without Doubt are my Idol Mike. People in Malaysia cant wait for you to come here
The production value of your videos is insane bro. I look forward to them truly because they are like watching a movie or documentary. Major credit to you and your craft.
Second NY Marathon video I watch today (Mary Bridges) and I cried again this evening. So nice to see the atmosphere and runners of all speed. How you cheer people on is so moving too. I'm running Paris next year and I'm going to train all my family and friends to cheer me on like you do. You can see how much of a kick it gives the runners.
My heart is so full after watching this video. Thank you for your commitment to showcasing so much diversity in people, ages, skill level, speeds, and finish times. You are a real GEM 💎 and have inspired me immensely! Thank you 🏃 🏃🏾♂️ 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏿♀️🏃🗽💨
Great video. I was watching mostly at mile 16. Amazing to see the pro women were in a big pack, while the pro men were all strung out by then. Also great meeting you this weekend. It was like a UA-camr fantasy camp!!
Amazing day, my first New York Marathon, had covid the week before the race, can't believe I made it round. Crowds were incredible, but man, its a tough course!
Nice to see that NYC Marathon has room for all of us who want to take on this challenge.. We all do this thing for different reasons, and some of us are fast as F and some of us are still making our way to get faster. But those 26.2 miles are there for anyone who wants to test themselves and blast through their limits. This is why I love the marathon.
Fantastic video Kofuzi, great to see the smiles and sheer elation of the later finishers - the non-elites ! Pacing Herm, shouting for EVERYONE, love it man. Keep up the great work.
so many people had their names on their shirts. and whenever I would cheer for them, they'd perk up just a little bit. each time that happened, it just made my day.
Kofuzi, thanks for highlighting the runners who finished at night. They are inspiring. It’s wonderful to see them caught on film.
I spent a lot of time talking to Mrs. Space Cadet and her husband. They told me that there wasn't nearly the amount of attention for the night finishers last year.
Special thanks should go to both Mrs. Space Cadet and Ali Feller who have been telling about how great the night finish is. And thank you to NYRR for recognizing all of us runners.
awesome awesome coverage.Thx Kofuzi. Never forget the last finishers, they are Finishers of a F-ing marathon!! Booyeah.
keep up your good work!
You said it. If you are out there for 7+hrs that's a lot of effort. You can see the story on the faces of the later finishers. Thanks for the coverage.
As always , wonderful job, Ko , really takes me to the atmosphere there, all the emotion and excitement, gives me goosebumps, wooooo

congratulations on your first marathon!
@@kofuzi Thank you, Kofuzi! I hope to meet you in person at a marathon some day. Keep up the amazing work, my friend!
Seeing you at that mile was exactly what I needed. Thank you for being out there and creating the MOST epic content in this sport.
you were incredible!
Alright. Goosebumps man. Such beautiful editing. You are such an inspiration to us normal runners man. Keep doing what you do!
thank you 🙏
It was very sweet of you to support the runners and give them the confidence to complete the NY with a smile! 👏👏
they already had within them everything they needed. I was just there to witness
Your ability to tell a marathon's story is unmatched, from the front of the pack to the final finishers! So happy to be a tiny little part of it, and don't think I didn't notice the subtitle under my name 😜 Beyond stoked to have met you this weekend!
I made it in a Kofuzi video (3:35)! Thanks for being there and being such a great ambassador for the entire running community.
yo!
I don't comment much. I have to say outstanding video of capturing the spirit of a marathon. From the elites to the last wave of finishers. Love this video!
thank you for taking the time to write 🙏
This!
Showing love to the night finishers, so awesome. Got chills.
true thanks go to Mrs. Space Cadet and Ali Feller, who introduced me to the night finish

that's so kind of you to say
Finally, a quality NYC race recap made here🎉 thanks for the superb job!!!!
tbh, it's a pretty terrible NYC recap in terms of results. I didn't get to the finish line, and I had no idea why certain athletes DNF'd of where.
but I hope that I have done the race justice in terms of showing what it's like to be here.

the night finish is pretty special
We all work hard everyone's working hard! 🎉
thank you for sharing. Really nice to see the non elite runners

so many tears falling as I watch the nighttime finishers. Those hours-long marathons are so, so hard. Thank you, Kofuzi
I'm also watching this right before work so now I have to fix my makeup 😂

NYC Marathon spectating is epic and this video captures it perfectly. Thanks for letting me tag along!
it was great to share the day with you
May be the most inspirational video I’ve seen all year. Have watched it multiple times. Thanks for the beautiful content
Thanks so much for the rewatch!
Crying at the end. Thanks for shouting to us back of the pack. Hope you do this at future marathons too
I don’t know that other marathons do this. If there are any, I’d love to see it
Wow. You're simply incredible, Kofuzi. I got teary in the last two minutes, but the entire production was phenomenal!
it was emotional for me to go back and put together the footage
Same! This is simply incredible, Kofuzi. So inspiring. Makes me think I may want to take a spin at a marathon someday.

One of your best! I watched the live coverage on TV and this captured the colour, athleticism and emotion of the event in a far superior way.
live TV is trying to do something a bit different. we each have our respective strengths
Thank you for this awesome video and covering so many runners and not just the elite. loved the whole vibe and felt like i was running with them :) loved how people got excited and came to take a selfie forgetting the race :)

Ah , you
Got me crying again .. I was cool until the last bit , but you captured light in the bottle with this one 🙏
NYRR did a great job of recognizing the night finishers. they set the scene
What a great day it was for this marathon. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. Congratulations to all our runners, this was truly an amazing day.
I do think it got a bit warm for some of the wave 3 runners towards the end of the race, but it's hard to get weather much better than this
You are what our sport needs!! Appreciate you Ko 👊🏾
Awesome! The last 2 mins put tears in my eyes... Dreams of one day doing the NYC marathon!
Amazing from start to finish. Appreciate you staying to cheer and film some of finishers at night. Beautiful imagery as well.
they say the marathon is a life in a day. I don't know it to be more true than it is in New York
Woooooooow! That’s a master piece! Congrats!!! I could feel the energy! 👏👏👏👏🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝
I'm really proud of this one
Ran NYC and you captured the emotion of the day perfectly, man. Chills with the heroes at the end
I hope I have done the race justice
It took me nearly 5 hours and I gave it my all, therefore the amount of respect I have for the people on this course who were giving it their all for hours longer than I did is indescribable. Another amazing video! that ending was everything 😭🙏🏾
it was a good day
What an awesome bit of filming. Nothing like a marathon to stir the emotions. Take a bow Mike and all the hero’s that got the 26.2 done.
Beautiful capture of the marathon. From the amazing pros all the way to the inspiring back of the pack and everything in between sprinkled with humbling history along the way. Great take on the best day of the year for NYC! 🗽🍎🏃♂️
it was a long but glorious day. I'm glad that what I was able to experience has translated to the video
I feel like running a marathon in 4-6 hours is great and all but the people that really impress me are the ones that finish it after everyone else has gone home. They never quit, often times they aren’t the most athletically gifted and they have every chance to turn around and they don’t. They never quit. They are the real champs…..
and they often have to run a substantial portion unsupported and on the sidewalks when the roads get reopened, even though they aren't done
Man running makes me so emotional I'm watching this video at work trying not to cry 😢great video !!! Love from Canada
Thank you for watching!
OMG many y celebs but seen Tommy Rivs is awesome ❤ great video Kofuzi, greetings from México.

Fantastic video Kofuzi, great to see the smiles and sheer elation of the later finishers - the non-elites ! Pacing Herm, shouting for EVERYONE, love it man. Keep up the great work.
