Let's not forget the vanquish 540 will also detect raw gold nuggets on jewelry mode or a gold vein in quarts

Had so many machines over the years cheap ones up to expensive ones but have had my 540 a while now.
Im jewelry mode & high sensitivity i personally believe its up with the best
It does me for my permission spots in Ipswich and Colchester
I love my 540 it awesome in jewelry mode all metal one 2 iron volume

I've got the 440 too m8,, this is now my 4th detector all of them r good detectors, I will say this is the 1st one I've had with the numbers on the screen, anyways I've now got the hang of the 440 and with what minelab have gave u with that multi IQ. I think I'm going keep this one along time as at the moment it's finding the good do u think it is worth get another detector later on or do u think this one can be a keeper and see me a couple of years of even longer. I come to the point they all do the same thing now I've got the 440 I happy to have it many years to come, what do u think about the 440 m8

Yes jewellery mode would work well for them they would probably come in the low numbers .thanks for watching 👍👍

It works pretty good with coins . But I had my doubts with little golf flakes or nuggets .
I have to try it ! Let see what happens .

Hi, first of all enjoyed the video, as a new owner of the 540 i'm finding it more confusing to use than my old garrett euro ace 350 which i had for a few years but didn't use it so much as i was doing other things and with having no permissions locally and little time it was fine though i did find a few coins and a ring on some unused old railway land used by dog walkers, having more time now i thought i would splash out and get a 540 pro pack and now all i seem to be finding is old iron, the permissions i've got are old sheep pasture land a 1000 ft above sea level so i suppose i don't expect to find much of historical or monetary value but it's a start i suppose but i'm asking myself all the time did i do right by swapping to the 540,?
Hi Stephen you definitely have not made a mistake the 540 is a great machine with better technology then the garrett
Thank for your comment .try turning all metal off and use iron bias high and put the Sensitivity up full then Back it off 2 notches. Just till you get used to the machine. Hope this helps

Vanquish 440 owner here , I've got the V12 Coil on mine and I use Jewellery mode and dig from id 1 upwards :) Looking at your discrimination settings you are going to miss a LOT of targets , just use the standard settings in Jewellery mode .
Hi Philip I don't have any description on it 1 and 2 are discrimed out as that's where hot rocks come in at .All metal on iron bias low
@@minelabnortherndetexpert1411 Well if you use Jewellery Mode with its standard settings only id numbers from 1 upwards show and that's ok because you will not miss any targets . Paul Cee has done a couple of Videos explaining why you should dig from 1 up , at 1 you can find thin gold objects :)
@@PhilipKerry unfortunately my local area is scattered with hot rocks and digging 1 and 2 is a no no and trust me you will not miss much dy not digging there's numbers. just like the equinox where these are discriminated out on factory settings .but hey each to their own .thanks for your input Philip 👍
I am thinking about buying a Vanquish. I have never done any metal detecting before so i have a question. If you put it in jewellery mode why is it finding lead and buttons? Surely it should only be looking for jewellery.
Hi Arthur if you discriminate lead and buttons you will discriminate most other good targets like gold and silver. jewellery mode is just a name only it is just a little more sensitive than the other modes and will pick fine jewellery up and hammered coins on edge etc hope this helps
