- The Minelab Vanquish has been on shop shelves for a few weeks now, so it is only right that we give it a spin on the field. We take a brief look the the machines settings and features followed by a few clips of what we found.

Great review. I'll add too that of all the reviews I'v watched so far, you are the first to mention that it has the added feature of firmware updating via the micro-usb port. And, there currently is a firmware update (1.1) that covers iron volume control, improved battery handling, and low battery alert. Available free of course direct from the Minelab site.

Im getting the vanquish 440 soon due to my stepdads influence. He found a Domitian 1 dupondius coin in swansea 95-96 ad in date. He uses the Minelab Nox. Weve found countless items but its time for me to get my own detector. Seeing this vid with the vanquish in action is making me so restless, i cant wait 😑

Nice video. Congrats on the silver :) I have the 440 and 340 and they pick out the tiniest of targets amongst the trash. Amazing machines for the money. Also superb on the beach. You didn't mention the hi/low iron bias. Did you use that at all?
Did u pick 340 and 540 because of less tones and not wanting cordless headphones. I'm thinking going 440 myself. Is 340 just as good as 440 please.
@@petercostello3196 I now have the 540 and so does my wife. The 340 is great, very little to do, just turn it on and go! It will find anything the 440 and 540 will, just less settings. 👍

Relative newbie here.... I have the 440 and when I have all metals on, I'm ignoring anything with the iron grunt... I see on here, you're digging them.... Am I interpreting this all wrong... Hence my less than interesting finds up to press.. Help required... Cheers.... Great vid by the way.
You must not ignore everything with iron grunt. If you get a signal on top of the iron grunt and it holds up well against it, then dig it. If the iron grunt is strong and is tending to overpower your signal, then I would tend to ignore it. Every now and then I would dig a signal with a strong iron grunt just to confirm it is indeed iron. But that's just me needing occasional reassurance I am doing the right thing!

People have said the 540 is unstable. Is this true?
