Mega Man Zero HD Collection - Trailer (Concept)

- This is NOT a playable game, just an animated concept of what I imagine HD remakes of the Mega Man Zero games could be like. I did this animation mainly to try and improve my art skills, though, If I ever do end up working on another actual game, I'd like to try and go for something similar to this, but more refined.
Even if he never considered himself as a hero, he's far beyond that, because that's the proper intro not for a hero but a legend.
Agreed 100%. Was always a fan of Zero as a character ever since he was first introduced in MMX. Then, with the Zero series that really cemented his place as a legendary hero on par with X, in my opinion.
i think extra shading with darker colours would make this look amazing
Man as good as the Z/ZX collection was-being ported well, having good check point functions and a few extra goodies-I honestly wish capcom remade the series in a similar fashion like this. I feel a lot of people ignored the ports due to just being ports, not providing anything new to intis MM series or even be any type of new installment, but if it was a HD collection like this mock up I’m sure it would’ve gotten buzz. With that out of the way, these are very great concepts and I can’t imagine all the time that must’ve went into animating these. Great work.
some of the reflections in the sprites look too much like flash, but it is not too far from a perfect image for this game

Holy shit... That was amazing! The gameplay scenes genuinely look like they could be real footage, while the redrawn cutscenes look absolutely beautiful!

God I would love this, and considering that you’ve also made megaman 2.5d, there is actually a chance that this could come out as at least a mod of the legacy collection some time in the future. Great job!

I think artstyle should be a little dirtier with more detail and roughness, idk how to explain but this looks too clean for Megaman Zero intended atmosphere etc.
redrawing all of zero's sprites and getting them to move similar to ingame must have been HELL, good job!

i just find weird the "bop" sounds when Zero walks, i feel that the new boot design wouldn't produce this sound, but i understand if it was the only sound avaliable, outside that, great work!
Yeah, I tried to pick out a lot of sfx from the X games, but audio was never really my thing. I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed that grin on Omega :) It seemed like an appropriate thing to add I thought, to show the differences between Omega and Zero in a way that would have been difficult if not impossible with the original sprites.

@ I think X4 is hard to find, X7 and X8 are easier.

The full cut away art is super good! But the Sprite work looks too much like a mobile game to me. I will give credit for how much clearer certain animations look during battle but, the mobile looking angle of it still is a turn off
IMHO part of the reason why Zero Series is so unique is because of its very muted colour palette, it may have been just the GBA's technical limitations but the muted colours were perfect to establishing this worn down post-apocalyptic desert world. I've also looked at the offical art and the muted colours do seem to be artist's preferred choice and not just the GBA's limitations.
words can't describe how sad i am that this ain't no fan remake, wish all old games on the series got hd ports that looked as stunnig as this animation does.

Great job you actually made me think this was a actual game and are some records of the gameplay but honestly I would to imagine a megaman zero 3ds collection and the backgrounds and arts are so clean I liked the way you animated omega second phase you did a good job in this animation

The ability to play this in widescreen ALONE would be more than enough for me.
These sprites look surprisingly close to the Mega Man X mobile port's character sprites.
Hearing the opening cords of for endless fight will never be a memory trip to rival all the drugs. Also this has a fantastic art style, I love how everything looks
The lack of shading and depth in a lot of areas, and the lack of physics and smoke and other effects make it look like Paper Mario (flat PNGs), but other wise it looks really great and I'd like to play a full game like that. Shaders can smooth out the visuals, but they can't expand the screen increase the detail, and add the great little animation touches you added. Thanks for the cool what if.
Mhm, those are fair criticisms! I'm not entirely happy myself with how some things came out. In retrospect, I feel that I should've focused on way fewer scenes, perhaps even just one or two scenes, but to really polish those a lot instead. Glad you got something out of it though :)
@ Honestly, we're just glad to see something like this. I may have provided some criticisms, but I did not hate it in the least. You did a far better job than most can hope to achieve, so just be proud of it. But now that you've shed some light on your process, I'm actually more happy to know that you tried to provide as many scenes as possible instead of just a super polished 10 second video. Because I actually believe it's better to make most of the work, them polish it later instead of working on each individual pixel at a time (goddamnit JKB, why are you like this!?).. But yeah, thankfully you tolerated my constructive criticism, unlike many people I've met. So, thank you. And keep on making great things. I hope to see another great Mega Man Project from you like 2.5, unless it effects you negatively.
@@DETahaX Thanks for the kind words :) I will definitely strive towards keeping on working on different creative projects. Corrupted has been in development for a long time for sure. I hope JKB is able to see it through to completion though, because I think there's a lot of us out there who would love to play it.

Well, it's very beautiful, but I think that if they were going to remake the Zero saga in HD form, it would be more similar to the style of the same Sonic Ages fan games

While I'll always prefer the original 32-bit sprites, I will admit that having a version of the quadrilogy with remastered soundtrack (because even the OST uses the compressed GBA audio) and less screen-crunch would be nice.

Strictly speaking towards the the art it looks great, very clean sprites, but I think the style itself would'nt fit the game it would like an iOS game like Megaman Xover, and that wouldn't sit well with the Zero Fanbase who tends to be more hardcore, still not saying you made a bad job cuz you didn't just saying that it's interesting how eve if it is a clearer artstyle it may not fit the theme of the game, for the stills it looks great tho

Sure! Well, two of the effects, the one plays when each letter appears, and the one that plays when the Z comes to a stop are both from Mega Man X4. The other two which are a whoosh type sfx and a heartbeat sfx I'm not sure where I got them from, though, it could be from one of the Royalty Free Sound Effects Archive: GameAudioGDC which can be found here: sonniss.com/gameaudiogdc
