quick question, I’m getting a OT pdl kayak and really liking the salty for the way I’ll use it. Question is, is the hull slap a lot worse than the pdl 120 or 106? I’ll be using it to fish spooky speckled trout in shallow water and I’m afraid if the slap is bad it may affect my fishing.

My first Kayak was a 1932 home made job. Based on a photo of a Eskimo Kayak probably to 3/4 or 7/8th scale and more like a Submarine. Anyways I learned how to a Kayak properly and catch rainbow trout. Looking back it was fun. Now I'm the best Lake ttout fisherman in the world but had very humble beginnings. Last six trips landed a 8 a 9 and a ten pound rainbow's. My fly is a trophy trout slayer.

I mothershippped to Greens Lake last Thursday and i fished the shorelines but realized later they were schooling in the middle of the open water. That place is huge! Have you ever fished Greens lake in your kayak? I only see an occasional skiff or shallow john boat. I hope you decide to go with me someday, I'm a badass fisherman

On the bait your using,UA-cam it and how to use it. Main thing on lures is color of it to mach the water and what lure for which fish you fish for.Also, the main thing is the speed you retrieve it in,Reel slowly and have your drag set correctly. It takes time but practice makes perfect.
Always remember, everyone gets a skunk day,They hide it and dont show these days .A real fisherman will always be honest no matter what.👌
