I'm a big fan of your channel. I've been keeping up with your content since 2018, and it's truly inspiring to see how much you have evolved as an angler.
I got one of those Asian wives very traditional alumni razor back, do not come home without anything, you will get the hardest stare and silent treatment until your next trip. The wife knows someone, who knows someone that will eat fish, salt or fresh. I got all sorts of rods, boat, aluminum molds, plastisol, colorant, galore of 1000 yd spools braid and mono, every size bait buster cast net, 5k graph, yeah I have not excuse to skunk. LOL It's funny when I get home with open the door while she is sitting on the couch, she hears me drag that heavy cooler, she will quickly grab her phone, jump up, have me open the cooler, take pic, "Job well done Cap!', then run back to the couch. Then hollers, "Let me know when you get done cooking!" Sometimes I wonder if I got on the wrong boat.
I don't normally comment, but for YOU I will! You made me a believer in BFS light weight saltwater gear. I have gotten into ultralight fresh water fishing recently and didn't think salt water was possible. My next purchase will be a Bouancy with a Shimano Curado BFS. Thoughts? Also, could you make a video on your tackle box? What lures do you use? Paddle tails, spinners, drop shot, etc.?
What’s up, love the show ordering my new buoyancy rod, this Wednesday “ can’t wait too break it in”. Thanks for the great tips on BFS Gears. Loved knowing about new products 👍
If the thumbnail is where you were fishing then I also fish there a lot. I was out there on the 4th, it’s a great marsh system. Caught two nice flounder and a red. Love your channel!
Always love your videos! My first time commenting since I always watch on my TV at home and don’t know how to comment on there. Hahaha… Wishin I was fishin. 😎😎. From Seguin Texas .. oh. Do some more from the Rockport area … that’s where I fish when I can 😁. Tight lines!
I enjoy your channel bro. Mostly a artificial bait fisherman which is way more interesting then someone making videos of using shrimp or other live and cut bait episodes.
Good show. Glad to see you’re back. How do you get those flounder to open their mouths? The ones I seem to catch, get the whole lure in their mouth and refuse to open up.
Hey Nick, one of these days we should meet up and fish with David.. I wish I knew where you are in this episode. I’m waiting for my yak and this place looks like a good place for me to break it in Tight Lines bro!
Brother I have learned so much from your videos. Getting my boat ready for the water in the next 2 weeks. Will keep in touch and updated. Thank you for always giving Him the glory.
That reel sounds phenomenal, for a guy that dont spend that much on reels i wanna get in the bfs game. Would you recommend that new calcutta bfs for a new bfs guy and an average angler
I'm looking to invest in one of those old 18 rods at some point but right now I'm really enjoying the ones I've got from temple fork outfitters. I was also curious what happened with your drive and the warranty, die they replace it or just repair what broke?
Love the video! Quick question for you. I normally use spinning reels. Thinking of going bfs. What would be the advantage of a bfs bait caster over my ultralight spinning setup? Im already using a 6’9” ultralight St. Croix rod and Diawa Fuego 2500 and I’m already using lots of 1/32 lures.
Save the marriage, buy a large bag of ice, take out a little and stuff the fish in the ice bag. Had to do this once after fishing on a friend's boat forgetting my ice chest and killing the specks.
@@RXAngler do it while you are young. I am 74 and have some balance issues, no Kayak for me. I have a 21 ‘ bay boat and my grandson has a shallow water elevated boat. I fish with him and my son and some friends. I can do everything backup launch, load on trailer but I cannot get over the bow to latch and drive out the launch. I do walks some local ponds late evenings . But the 105 to 119 index keeps me in my pool till the weather cools some, looking forward to fall. Enjoy and keep loading videos I live three your trips. Thanks Rx
Love that spot
Watch all your videos. Bought some buggs off your link.

My question is, did you have to pedal a mile or 2 to get to those drains
Let's see some big reds on some topwater??? ❤😅
Yes sir the buggs for another win🎣

Awesome video... What's that footwear?

Thanks my man! BFS is so much fun and rewarding. The Buoyancy and the Curado BFS would be an awesome setup.
@@RXAngler are there any other reels on the US market you would suggest? I love the T-Wing of Daiwa, but Shimano just seems to be the BFS king.
Awesome trip! Great video and I enjoy watching them light tackle catches!
Thank you very much!

Nice! I hope you catch many limits with it.
I new to Kayaking and trying to find good areas to learn, if you mind me asking where is this marsh?
Chances are we might not find out. A lot of people are really stingy with the good spots.
Thx
Any time
Nice marsh area. I live in Pensacola FL not much marsh here but lots of fishing for sure. Nice video as always ❤
Thanks 🙏
It’s hot out there! Take er’ easy! 😅 🎣
Appreciate it!
Nick, I’d like to see more Jon boat/skiff videos with David or your own build. Keep up the awesome videos
You got it!
@@RXAngler thanks bro!
Great stuff !! Looks like amazing place to fish … question is 10 lb braid a good line for inshore fishing
Should be ok to use for inshore.

I almost spit my coffee out when you said, "Asian Wife won't be happy!" That was hilarious! Another great video.
🤣🤣🤣
Wow I've been waiting for you to bust out the new calcutta bfs
Shimano Calcutta x Aldebaran x Metanium Shallow ?
which one
🔥
All the above
@@RXAngler I can't buy all of them hahaha
I'm thinking to get the Calcutta to use in salt water as well
Nick. odd question... 10-15 years ago, did you work at FTU/Cut Rate in Houston?
No sir
I enjoy your channel bro. Mostly a artificial bait fisherman which is way more interesting then someone making videos of using shrimp or other live and cut bait episodes.
I appreciate that. Thank you!
Now you're fishing in my spot 😂😂😂😂😂
I can’t find haha been searching google earth hard 😂
Nick, your experience is awesome. You ever enter into tournaments?
Don’t have time for tournaments
@@RXAngler Ah, i get you on that! Still love your content! Keep it up :D
Good show. Glad to see you’re back. How do you get those flounder to open their mouths? The ones I seem to catch, get the whole lure in their mouth and refuse to open up.
I usually use the Boga to get the mouth open.
Awesome videos! What line would you recommend for the Curado BFS reel and Biggs lures? Thank you sir!
Varivas 1.5 guage braid PE x8
@@RXAngler thank you sir

Tight Lines bro!
Sounds good
So when is the invite out? I am not that far from Houston/Galveston. Usually fish Port O'Conner.
🤙
Nick your going to be in trouble. Just joking 😂take care and have a blessed week my brother. 👍
😁
Awesome video like always. What weight are you using on the curl tail and the trout thumper?
1/4 oz or 1/8 oz
Maybe do a RX angler tournament Nick
Maybe one day?
Man you made me want a peddle drive yak so bad. Hard to manage a paddle and fish
Get an Old Town. You won’t regret it.

Thanks! I appreciate the comment.
Good job Bro,, Whats the largest alligator you've come across in he saltwater marshes ??
10 footer
Love your vids. Can you do some Moses Lake/Texas City/ Galveston fishing videos ?
Thanks bud.
How bad are mosquitoes early morning thru mid day in the marshes?
Not too bad right now.
Which non bfs reel would you recommend? As always i appreciate your content and being helpful
Shiman Metanium
That reel sounds phenomenal, for a guy that dont spend that much on reels i wanna get in the bfs game. Would you recommend that new calcutta bfs for a new bfs guy and an average angler
Yes, I think it’s worth a buy for you. I think you will use it for many, many years.

The Old 18 you will love. Drive system was a pain in the butt.

Baitcast will be faster and more accurate Vs the spinning setup. Also, lighter in most cases.
Thanks for making these videos Nick!! Glad to see you got your hobie back up and running. Did hobie take care of everything under warranty?
Long story. Short answer, no.
@@RXAnglerWow
Video on the long story coming soon????
Gotta say, this is swaying my decision
Can I ask why no trolling motor?
No space on yak
Nice, what marsh system is this?
I got you bro 👍

Good stuff Nick. How'd you end up getting your hobie drive repaired?
Ehhh…long story. Bottom line, not good.

Marcus don't use his solo skiff no more? That boat flip traumatized him or what? Lol
Is this by Freeport
Do you ever come to the anahuac area?
Yes.
Skiff or kayak?
Kayak
Great video!! Love watching and learning from your trips. Keep them coming, Fish On 🤙
Glad you like them!
Would u fish there if u didn’t carry a gun?
Yes
I enjoy your fishing videos. Wish I could be fishing out there too!!! Keep up the positive attitude.
Thanks, you too!
There are some spots out there that on a falling tide if you're there at the right time you can sit in one spot and slaughter the fish
👍
Save the marriage, buy a large bag of ice, take out a little and stuff the fish in the ice bag. Had to do this once after fishing on a friend's boat forgetting my ice chest and killing the specks.
That is the best marsh to fish in Texas
