I don't usually comment, but I just wanted to throw my support behind a jersey dive video. Always enjoy these.
So happy I finished my collection of Adidas authentics before the Fanatics takeover. You inspired me to collect one authentic of all 32 teams and I achieved it for a great price. Tips, Ebay after players get traded. I got a probably 10/32 jerseys under $50 authentic with tags from traded players. Probably done for now outside of Sabres jerseys because they’re my team

If the Nordiques rebranded to the husky jersey and stuck around, I think they'd be my #2 team on jersey alone. That logo design rules, and the colours are great too.
The nordiques jersey he has is the wrong colors,.The real ones are blue and teal. Look it up

I got myself a 2005 CCM Crosby black home jersey off of eBay for $50 which was in amazing condition and looked brand new. I absolutely love it this was the design the penguins had when I was a kid I couldn't be happier. I didn't know I could find a class jersey like that on eBay til I saw your videos so thank you!!! :)
Reebok took over that year. So yours must be from the year before.

It's so funny when people say "I don't care" about videos like these. I don't follow other teams than Tampa and sometimes Seattle. Guess which game review videos I don't watch lol. If I don't want a video, I don't watch it. For those of us who LIKE jersey videos, this is cool.

Still trying to get a Bruins jersey cheap. The one I really want, a Winter's claasic, is impossible for me to tell a fake from real.
The fakes usually have a shiny black inner neckline. Sloppy stitching. And the materials in the logo, names, and numbers is poor quality. And the shield is wrong.

Baseball and basketball jerseys are shit, limited players in limited sizes. Havent seen a giants city connect in 3X, can only find MLB authentics generally in 52, except sometimes certain players will be 56

I enjoy the jersey videos, i wouldn't know about a lot of the jerseys without them. Can't afford such a collection myself, but i've been inspired to get one jeresy for each team. Great to see whats in your collection, helps me decide what to look for.
I have a Lokomotiv jersey from the KHL, bought it a few years ago and it was second hand / a few years old at rhe time. It is fully sublimated, logos, ads, and all. I found that interesting.
If the nordiques return they should use that wolf logo as an alternate logo, like what the Canucks do with the skate jersey

As per USPTO register, the unused husky logo trademarks have been abandoned by the last owner (Nordiques).

I’ve dealt with quite a few of who you mention here. Ben H, Cool Hockey etc. All very good businesses (despite what some may say), and I’ll keep up with them as long as they carry what matters to me. And like you, I never paid full price. You have to be smart about this when playing the collector game. 😊
Fanatics will never be that. Sure…they’ll use the same Adidas template for probably the first year, but that will fade quickly and fans will either deal with it, or stop buying them.
I’ll be in the latter category.

Thrift Stores can also be a good place to find jerseys for a decent price.
The only problem is sizing, sometimes jerseys are way too big or way too small

I am definitely buying an Adidas Kraken jersey (hopefully it will be discounted) before they stop being sold because there is no way I am buying a Fanatics one, especially given all the problems in baseball currently with Fanatics made jerseys. When it comes to Adidas pulling out of the NHL contract, another reason why they are pulling out is because Adidas realizes that they can make a higher profit (at least in North America) off of three things: all soccer related products (especially with the 2026 World Cup being held in North America of which Adidas is a major sponsor), endorsement deals with US colleges & Adidas Originals products like the Superstar shoes.
In Canada and Mexico, I'm sure soccer sells well. I doubt they make very much money on Soccer in the States

Love team stores. Really wish the Wings had one that had an online storefront or was at least open outside of game day.
I buy the odd fake jersey now and then if it's a jersey I really want and there's no other way to get it. More than likely I'm the only one who knows it's a fake and there's no jersey police who will arrest me for wearing one. One thing I'm able to do is buy blank jerseys of the Blue Jackets and take them to the team store and have them customized. By doing this i can make a $300 jersey a $125 jersey.

I’ve noticed the Nashville name plates at the arena store are sublimated. First time I’ve seen it
GOOD VIDEO. A few things before I get into the hockey side of this: 1) I thought Adidas made great NBA jerseys, 2) Nike has done the multiple tiers of NFL jerseys, 3) if the players are wearing brand "X", if I but a jersey I want brand "X". I really have to wonder what is up with Adidas though, they dipped on the NBA contract, they have now dipped on the NHL contract, and in some cases, they are operating shady with US universities on their apparel deals too. I don't do knockoffs. I sale hunt and very rarely buy retail straight up. But I remember that tiered Reebok era and and that is kind of what Nike is doing with the NFL and NBA. An entry level screen print jersey, a mid-tier stitch hybrid, and then an on-field/court version. What I dislike about what Nike is doing now, at least with the NFL jerseys, is that mid-tier used to be stitch, just the jersey wasn't the same--it was their normal jersey, whereas the most expensive one was the materials used for the on-field one. At that top price point, those are too expensive for me to buy, but I have found that lower-tier Reebok and the Adidas for NHL jerseys to meet my price point needs for quality. The Fanatics stuff just isn't the quality I'd spend on, and the price difference is worth it to have the brand the players wear. I am very tempted to save up some major cash to get get any Adidas jerseys before they're gone and my only option is Fanatics, but their branded apparel leaves a lot to be desired.

I have a Devils Henrique jersey done through Hockey Authentic and the jersey looks fantastic still to this day.
I remember seeing a random kid wearing that powder blue Avs jersey back in the late 90s when I was warming the bench in high school football 😅.
You can tell the word-mark logos on the OG Penguins jerseys are different.

For the Nordiques husky jersey, supposedly there are officials who were handed over to members of the press during a press conference to announce the branding change.
I bought an Islanders fisherman pro when it first came out, then got the old logo pro on the wave jersey the next season and love them. Also got a kachina Coyotes starter pro at a value city store, a long time ago, for $50.
Funny you mention team stores, for the Rangers, their store does offer some miscellaneous items that i may not see in fanatics. The only down side about the msg online store is that sometimes price on higher end like the Stadium Series jersey being 50 dollars more expensive than fanatics website.

Not sure if any others do it but the Hurricanes at Arena team store lets you bring in jerseys and they ship it off somewhere and get it stitched
I have plenty of adidas jerseys but got a draisaitl cup final jersey as my first fanatic jersey from the nhl site. It is super nice but I noticed right away. Like my McDavid jersey from a few years back the detail in the stitching just makes me feel better wearing them for games etc.
Over here in Europe, the Fanatics / NHL / Lids triplets are just so dumb. Different level of sale discount, different prices (Lids for example has Shark fin for £143, whereas it is £173 on the other 2) and the NHL one seems to charge fees and import duty which the other 2 do not. So you just have to try to mix and match and find what you want at the cheapest price as at the back end, yep same 2 warehouses in New York state or Utah. Madness!

not to look at ,but to use everyday .
i did collect comics and video games .that if i still had today would be worth hundreds of thousands . so i understand the value of collecting . wish i still had my book collection too .
but floods can sometimes put the kiabosh on collecting . water seems to have an adverse effect on that . kitchen fires as well . thats why im always going on about how much insurance you have and the coverage .

I'm glad you posted this as recently I've been looking onto a specific type of repair and I don't know the names of the materials or if they're available. I have a couple of Gretzky Jerseys that belonged to my sister and she didn't like that the crests and the numbers were stiff as she wore them as PJ shirts , so she went in and cut out all of the backing material behind the logos and numbers , now theyre wrinkling .. I'm wondering if that particular material is available and if anyone might know how to go about doing this fix?
I have seen some sublimated NHL jerseys by the name brand off Above Ordinary, made in China but they're really pretty neat with their giant logos and such.
I have been more and more (dumping and) changing in to collecting personal significance over quantity. That way new jersey(s) feel that much (dominic) m(o)ore special to me. Plus they started to invade lots of (Jaroslav) space(k)
The infamous Quebec husky wolf jersey. I think the University of Connecticut has that logo now the wolf husky.

The Fanatics jerseys are so bad that you can tell how trash they look compared to Adidas just by the pics on their website alone.
I always enjoy watching your jersey videos. Thanks for showing the fake Pittsburgh jersey side-by-side with the official one. I wouldn't mind seeing a video that focused on fake jerseys vs official versions. To the untrained eye, it might be difficult to spot the differences if they don't see the real thing for reference.
The Canes just did that limited edition Chaos jersey last week.

The future of NHL jersey collecting is very, very bleak…
I really want to get a WASAC Jets jersey, but everytime i see one in person the poor quality of the patches scares me off.
They did recently post their catalog for the stores and from the Vids I saw they have 3 tiers and the practice jerseys/ throwbacks. Outside the MiC's it looks like everything is similarly priced.

There was a leak that the Fanatics on ice next season will be $400+ USD. Fanatics will have "Premium" version which is what the current adidas "authentic" are, and a replica.
For old and/or oddball hockey and soccer jerseys sometimes VV boutique have some diamonds in the rough lol
Whatever the direction jerseys go, I'm happy I have mine. I bought two bruins jerseys in my life so far. bruins men in black and the winter classic 2016 one (starting to see a pattern, eh? love black jerseys.)
Fanatics is scum. I went to the All Star game weekend event one year and they advertised players signing autographs. Waited hours in line and then we find out that Fanatics is only allowing players to sign a blank piece of paper.

I have that red rangers liberty starter jersey. It's the crown jewel of my collection.
I’ve wanted that unused Nords logo with the husky and fleur shoulder patch for some time now but with Sakic on the back and the maroon/white original Avs color scheme. Just one of those things that would be fun to see put together, wear it to a game or two and see who comments on it
That's not the accurate colors. The Nordiques would have still worn blue with teal and black secondary colors.

I personally am a big fan of DHgate jerseys. Personally because I have a limited budget and I just want to rep my team.
Sometimes with places like DHGate , you get what you pay for , other times the Jersey is absolutely bang on. totally depends on the store. Ive got a Kirk McLean jersey on the way that im hopeful for .. however , if its kinda ratty , I dont have to treat it like its precious the way I do with some of my other ones ... its kinda a win win.

Prices with Fanatics upper end will be a lot higher than Adidas, but they'll also let us buy jerseys Adidas never did, the on ice uniform directly from the factory in Quebec. Icethetics has already confirmed this, they are the experts when it comes to new jersey information. It's wild Adidas never let us buy though.
I definitely won't be buying any sublimated jerseys, they don't have the same effect as the embossed if that's the right word, kind of jersey

I got a jersey from DH Gate fuly knowing it was not a real one. But honestly, i looked at it next to the authentic i bought from the official NHL store and it was so close you could barely even tell. So unless you really want the real deal, i don't see anything wrong with going the cheaper route. It was only $20 and free shipping.
I've gotten into getting reebok MiC based practice jerseys of late... doesn't have to be a main key player as much as just to enjoy a high quality look into the collection (and save a few $$ too).
I own over 20 Adidas Made In Canada jerseys and I love them over the Indonesian ones. My jerseys are numbered and name plated so I love that over owning a blank jersey that hasn’t much value to me or others.
I am one of the few that liked the fisherman as soon as it came out. As time passes, my opinion on fashion doesn't change much. What I liked 25 years ago, I still like. What I disliked 25 years ago, I mostly still dislike.

That thumbnail jersey looks better than the Wiki photo of the planned new appearance, but it doesn’t hold a candle to the iconic igloo/stick logo and Fleur-de-lis pattern of Quebec’s original theme. It looks more AHL than NHL.

I have ONE Jersey.... One Older 3rd Stick in rink Adidas my wife added to her cart during a Sport Check order in order to reach free shipping as a 40th birthday present for me as it was on clerarence from $199 to $99... I'm excited to own ONE.... I would love to have a Black skate and I'd love to have a Name/Number on the one I have which is blank but I have trouble deciding who I would get on it because my favorite players never wore that Jersey. and that might be a Jersey Foul.
My favorite jersey is a "Hockey Night in Canada" from CBC,. Bought at their studios in Toronto.
How did you get to their studio?
@@fantasticvoyage262 Their building is not that far from the Hockey Hall of Fame. They have a souvenir shop inside the main entrance. (at least it used to be, many years ago. Not sure if it's still there.) I wasn't in their actual filming studio...

We need the current fanatics jerseys sizing with the adidas quality and we’d have home runs. I think all the adidas jerseys run small
That Nordiques jersey isn't the same they would have worn if they stayed. There is someone on eBay that has a Starter in different colors and striping that is what the team would have worn. They also have very rare concepts of the Blues and Penguins that I haven't seen anyone else have.
