Use the g9 with 6” pads to blast through larger panels past and come in with the g8 on a 3” plate for the smaller areas. Amazing combo 🤙🏻

Griots Garage G9 Polisher retails for around $169.99 and up. A beginner is usually on a budget.

Then buy a cheap Bauer from harbor freight that’ll break on you in a few weeks. $169 isn’t bad compared to rupes prices

The vibration in the griots i bought was bad..... ended up going out on me after 2 years so no warranty, will be going to the harbor freight Hercules next with 5 year warranty. Can't beat it for 115 bucks

@tylerjohnson3164 it was a whole process.... shipping was gonna cost a 1/3rd of what a new one would snd that was if it was coveted, not everything is.

We use the dewault rotary mainly for polishing metal, and personally for removing bigger scratches, but I always hit the rest with a porter cable orbital.

It’s shaky and very bad for your hands over time with the vibration and noise. The Griots one has replaceable parts, and has a detachable cord which is great too.

Not if you are a beginner. There is only so much clear coat you know sitting on top of your paint. Long throw removes more as it is more aggressive.
