As a Gti owner, it’s so satisfying to see your car go under this kind of transformation. A deep clean, performance parts, and having Larry and Charles and IE be the dudes to have a hand in it is just amazing to watch. Thank you for this! And congrats to the owners!
This is the first detailing video I’ve waited on to be uploaded. So happy to see humblemechanic/charles. Been watching both channels for what might be a decade now.
I love seeing something like this just bringing the car community together with some guys trying to do something cool for someone just because they enjoy it.
Every time I see a notification from Ammo, I can’t wait to watch the video. Especially this one, because it’s all about turning a junk car into something that looks brand new. How do you even do it? Where did you learn? Just from trial and error? And to make it even better, the car’s a VW Golf GTI-wow!!!
I've got new Vredestein all season's on my Kia Stinger. Happy so far, but haven't really had a chance to put them to the test in snow or really heavy rain. Reviews are great, as was the price. Keep up the great content Larry!
A Tornado Red MkV GTI was my first VW and it's so special to see a Fahrenheit restored to this degree. I love this generation of GTI so much, I'm so glad this one is back on the road.
Larry, as a fellow detailer, and one that has purchased your products, you always do amazing detories (detailing with stories). I love how you collab with others and make detailing fun. Great episode and keep them coming! 😍
Larry, I’ve been watching your channel for several years now and that was one of my favorite videos! Awesome to see your continued success and growth over the years.
I had a 2005 Golf GTi. It was my first venture into the hot hatch world. Since then i've had 2015 GTi and 2019 GTi. The 2005 will always a special place in my heart.
AMAZING WORK GENTLEMEN!!!!! I really enjoyed seeing Charles and Larry working together for one goal. Charles; really appreciate the work you did here as well as what you have done with and for Second Chances Garage!!
Yes! An AMMO + Humble Mechanic crossover episode. As a 2x GTI owner (Mk6 and currently Mk7), hard to believe the Mk5 and the Fahrenheit edition cars are going on 20 years now. Glad this one’s been saved from the crusher, that mold was the worst. Looks fantastic once again, just that last bit of pin striping could’ve been removed.
6:50 Drawing a frowny face in the soap then saying "That's Larry." Immediately cuts to a shot of Larry making that same face. I guess that's why he didn't deny it lol
What a great video and story! The restoration is incredible and seeing the looks on the new owners faces were really something special! What an amazing collaboration!! Keep up the awesome work!
Great seeing a Fahrenheit being saved. Definitely not the greatest era of vw (had a lot of problems) but still wicked to see a limited production car being brought back from the dead.
Put white vinegar down the sunroof drain lines. Helps prevent mold growth that clogs the lines and won't degrade the plastic. Same as the drain line for your home A/C system.
The fact you allowed this to enter your workshop in the first place is BRAVE. Personally, would have sorted it outside before doing all the final preparation work inside.
This was such an awesome and wholesome collab, the Fahrenheit GTI was the first that really caught my eye, I remember seeing them on the street as a kid and thinking what a cool car and color, thank you guys for saving it and bringing it back from the dead! The amount of love you gave this car Larry is probably more than it has seen in it's entire life. Seriously what a transformation. The only sore spot is really the driver seat. I'm amazed at how good it turned out. Top stuff 👍
Desert use only, even after cleaning. Refurbished flooded cars should not be driven on moisty ambient... it takes one spore go in the wrong lung and you're going to be screwed though... moisture condensation from the AC will make it regrow on the vents, cabin filter should be hepa or carbon only, no paper pollen/dust only ones...
That was a great video Larry and humble mechanic, that young couple just starting out are thrilled with the car. Giving it for free really helps them out. Well done Integrated Engineering for helping with the performance. I’m in the Uk and I’ve imported forged conrods from IE, look like great guys 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I can’t lie it bothered me a little bit that the driver seat wasn’t replaced can’t help but think mold got saturated below the cushion through the holes/tears in the seat similar to the other seat. That wasn’t Larry’s decision of course but oh well other than that phenomenal job as always
This long format collaborative content is your best work. I would love to see more just like this, I get supercars are your bread and butter but how you can reach out to different communities of car and bike owners bringing them and vehicles back to life is just *chef's kiss*
That's no doubt the wildest transformation of this decade, I LOVE IT! Even the worst looking car has a chance, both your and Charles' hands are golden, Larry!
Larry, love this man. This is what we are supposed to do. Look out for each other and when possible extend a helping hand. Really love this episode Larry. Well done man. Pete St. John Clovis, CA
Larry and the other Guys that is the BEST JOB that you ever did. !!! You are BEST OF THE BEST NOT MATTER WHAT !!!!!!!!!!! Greetings from Germany !!!!!!!
Larry, I have been watching your channel for some time and I have to say that this has to be one of the grossest cars I have ever seen. The transformation was unbelievable. Kudos to you and the rest of the team for what you did!
A lot of work to bring this gem up to snuff. I really like this generation of Golf having owned a Rabbit with the 2.5 5 cylinder and 5 spd manual. This was a GTI worth saving. Nice job!
Oh I forgot, the most important part of the whole exercise is the HVAC!! If the ductwork and blend doors are contaminated then all the work is out the door!!!
Larry and Humble mechanic should launch a new age Wheeler Dealers show. Larry does the restoration, Humble does the mechanical work
That would be fun!
That would’ve really cool! When the mechanic scattered the entire interior the shop could literally wash every plastic part. 🎉so excited 🤝🤝
This was an awesome collab!!
Now that’s a show I’d watch!!
1000% would watch 👍
This was a super gross, but still fun projects. Thank you sir!!!
two of my fav automotive youtubers in one vid was great while i cleaned my s4 and house today. cheers🙌🏼
What hurricane was it in? Florence? 2017 or 18?

Larry + elbow grease + AMMO = excellence. Great work!
That would be one of the best & most genuine customer reactions I have ever seen on this channel, Great work Larry & Humble Mechanic!
So glad that today is the day! I've been so excited to see yours and Charles' videos come out on this!
Few episodes has brought me as much joy as this one, Good job guys.
Thank you!
I love seeing something like this just bringing the car community together with some guys trying to do something cool for someone just because they enjoy it.
Everyone involved was so welcoming! Truly an amazing community around us, for sure!
Scraping the clear with plastic razor blades and polishing the paint was a cool solution I haven’t seen before.
The detail was worth more than the car! Heck of a transformation, and generosity off the charts. Amazing.
These Farenheiht editions will fetch more in the future since its a special edition GTI.
Wow! that's probably the worst case of mold I've seen in a car. Been detailing for 13 years that's incredible.
What a great surprise- two of my favorite UA-camrs and automotive geniuses working together. Love it.
Thanks, appreciate you watching!
Amazing renovation as always Larry! Those Integrated Engineering parts are beautiful. Total transformation!
This was the collab we needed , definitely need more of you two working together

Good tip!
I’m so glad you saved it you have no idea. More of this!
This was a collaboration I didn’t even know I needed. Great job, you guys!

Amazing rehab! Always great to see a car saved from the crusher.
Best colab so far.. Thanks. Really nice video to watch 👍🔥

Humble and Larry together!!!! YES!! DAY MADE!!!!
This was an AMAZING transformation! Just wow.
Always excited to see another post from AMMO NYC, Best detailing videos on youtube.
I can’t lie it bothered me a little bit that the driver seat wasn’t replaced can’t help but think mold got saturated below the cushion through the holes/tears in the seat similar to the other seat. That wasn’t Larry’s decision of course but oh well other than that phenomenal job as always
This has to be one of your best. Keep levelling up Larry!
Dude! I had a Mk5 GTI a few years back. I loved that car so much

With the seats and panels that you could clean how do you know the cushions or the backside of the leather doesnt have mould to?

Great collaboration!
Keep up the good work guys
Wow Larry you are the best !! Always doiing incredible jobs as usual
Loved this one. As a MkV GTI owner, it was really nice to see this one saved from the scrap yard.
Amazing work as always Larry. Respect to the amount of effort you put into the cleaning and pain correction.
Yes! I’ve been waiting for this video to drop
Larry, I have been watching your channel for some time and I have to say that this has to be one of the grossest cars I have ever seen. The transformation was unbelievable. Kudos to you and the rest of the team for what you did!
Appreciate you watching!
Love to see content where you work on vehicles! Hope all is well Larry and Jordan! Our son Caleb is a fan!
Amazing collaboration I love both of yall, great job 💙
Appreciate that!
Charles is an amazing mechanic and like you are truly masters of your craft’s!!! Great Videos Thank You 🙏
Looks like they chose not to replace the driver's seat 6:00 34:04. I'd be concerned about black mold in that padding.
I follow both of these channels, and was geeked to see a car like I actually own get the AMMO NYC treatment.
amazing job guys as always!!
Knocked it out of the park with this one! Glad you teamed up with Charles👍
Original wheels were better. Good job everyone! I'm now pricing out GTI's.
Unfortunately, a flood car is forever a flood car.
Crazy to see my two favorite UA-camrs in one video :)
Man, that was fun to watch! That is a great looking car! It would be a fun little weekend, winding roads type of car
Amazing job very humble moment...that was awesome to watch.
Great work Larry plus all the mechanics, the Golf looked amazing post transformation 😍
Thanks 👍
A lot of work to bring this gem up to snuff. I really like this generation of Golf having owned a Rabbit with the 2.5 5 cylinder and 5 spd manual. This was a GTI worth saving. Nice job!
As a GTI owner, this was both difficult and very satisfying to watch. Another great detail, Larry!
Absolutely AMAZING results. 🤘🏻🔨😎
Larry, what a fantastic job! Thanks for share.
Oh I forgot, the most important part of the whole exercise is the HVAC!! If the ductwork and blend doors are contaminated then all the work is out the door!!!
Humble mechanic is a really fun guy bring him more ;)
It's nice to see people really appreciate such a nice car... Very jealous
We will absolutely cherish her for years to come! More videos on her will be coming soon!
