According to art historian Dr. James Fox, the color blue is rarer in nature (e.g., so many fewer blue flowers, or the rare lapis lazuli stone), but it is humanity's favorite color! He conjectures that it is our desire to reach/touch the ethereal blue of the sea and sky.

When I was only 13, my grandmother bought me a three piece outfit that you never see on children of that age: a loden green pleated skirt, a mock turtleneck in the same shade of green and a v-neck vest of robin's egg blue, trimmed in loden green. I remember feeling so sophisticated in that outfit.

Light blue and dark green reminds me of peaceful walks through an evergreen forest. So beautiful! With a brown shoe?? 😍 light blue, old gold/champagne, white were my wedding colors. Had an outside wedding by the river in the summer and it was gorgeous! These colors were also my college colors

@@nykka3 unc- chapel hill! The tarheels! The colors are light blue and white. Tan, gold, champagne are common accents in campus buildings. The theater has a beautifully ornate blue white and gold ceiling and that is where I got my inspiration for my wedding colors

Ice/baby blue with chocolate brown....the mix of pale blue linen and dark chocolate corduroy looks very elegant and works incredibly well...bluebells against the earth perhaps in nature......Love this color series...Big Hugs Sweet Girl..

I would also say that light blue compliments well with grey and silver. And this rule applies to older people who already have grey hair and have blue eyes... I think it looks so beautiful!!
Yes! My grandmother was a Greek woman with piercing light blue eyes and jet black hair in her youth which turned icy silver. Such a beautiful color combination.

I don’t think there was a single image in this video that I didn’t find inspirational. I used to dislike light blue because I found it was often the colour of choice for generic, fast fashion- tacky blouses and whatnot. I certainly don’t feel that way about anymore, and I agree with you that it makes me think of blue skies and lovely days. I wear it with white and black and thanks to your ideas i will open that up!

Once I ditched my perceived need to stick to Deep Autumn colors, I saw that light blue, even tones verging on periwinkle, was a color I really enjoyed having in my closet. It was versatile and always seemed fresh.

This made me smile. While watching, I happened to be knitting a hat with a light blue yarn. I chose that color as I thought it would go well with my black coat and my dark green wool coat, as well. It's nice to have your confirming opinion!
I loved this. About 5 years ago I decided to only buy clothes that could be described as being the colour of the sea. It's amazing how versatile that can be and it's now so liberating having a wardrobe where everything can be worn with everything
Some fave office and event outfits for me: Light blue soft blazer + white tee + navy pants; Light blue blazer + white and blue sheath dress; Periwinkle sweater + pink floral skirt
This was really eyeopening. I love to wear light or midtoned blue with light grey plus navy (instead of black) belt, boots and bag. I always feel very calm and secure in that colour combination which makes so much sense to me now.

I love light blue with various shades of denim. The light blue button up is such a classic, along with tan or brown accents such as loafers, a leather purse and camel jacket.

Hi Audrey! Thanks for another inspiring video! My favorite way to wear blue is with light pink, it reminds me of cherry blossoms against blue sky, such a dreamy combination, especially for spring! Another favorite is light blue with caramel or (pastel) yellow. II never considered wearing blue with green/khaki, that's a really cool idea!

I love blue with whites and winter whites. Just seems so classic to me. Whether it’s light blue, a blue/gray or a Smokey blue, I am a real fan of blue on blue as well.
I know for a fact that I don’t suit blue, but I watched this because I simply love watching your videos. Your videos are all so relaxing and beautiful.
A couple of years ago, I shopped online for a secondhand trench coat and found a great one that happened to be light blue. It's great for the wintry days of February and early March because it's a refreshing change from dark winter wear and breathes new life into everything. My powder blue gossamer scarf is often paired with a black top and I've loved that combo - so glad you brought it up!

light blue is a spring/summer stable in my wardrobe for years, I don't like to wear it in the colder month. It reminds me of the blue sky and makes me happy. light blue with white/cream/beige is a combo I love and wear for years but since last year I like to mix it with a soft mint green or a strong (not pastel) pink, too. Something fresh and new to me.

I'm always in love with your 'Colour guide' videos, I've learned so much from them. I love having colours in my wardrobe but before I only knew to match them with black or white, most of the time I would just wear all black because that's what everyone around me does. I'm much more comfortable with wearing colours now, still a lot of hit or miss, but I'm glad I've stepped out of my comfort zone and really embraced my love for colours

I’m really enjoying this series, each video has been thoughtfully put together and I like the wide variety of images you use to illustrate the point (including diversity of bodies).
I love blue, probably own a little too much of it! Since currently pregnant with my third child I’ve realized just how sadly limited maternity wear is. I don’t enjoy black and wear grey in a limited way, preferring tans and blues as my neutrals but it’s virtually impossible to feel truly dressed my best when pregnant 😞looking forward to my usual floral dresses already!

Great video. Light blue and black are my go-to combinations. I treat my light jeans as a neutral and will wear any of my color pallet with them
