In the eternally cloudy and dank England, a real paradise for rats and mice, cats have always been treated with respect, moreover, tailed ones have even been promoted to the rank of civil servants.
Unbelievable, but true: Elizabeth II has a whole staff of fluffy pets at her disposal, who are called upon to tirelessly guard all important state facilities. So, for example, in London libraries, archives and other places of state importance, cats are obliged to catch rodents that encroach on securities for a real salary.
The fashion for servant cats appeared in London quite a long time ago - more than 100 years ago.
Pioneers in this important matter were cats guarding parcels and letters from rats and mice in post offices in Britain. Today, tailed ones serve in three post offices in London, the British Museum, the Palace of Westminster and even the Treasury.
However, three are considered the most famous: Larry, Palmerston and Gladstone, and in the fall of 2017 another eastern colleague joined them.

GOD sent me to KCHA in Charleston WV USA almost at the end of October 2019 where I adopted my furbaby. She is my 4 legged companion and I'm her 2 legged cat mom. And yes I've spoiled her because no one really knows her history before landing at the no kill shelter.

And typical of politics, Larry & Palmerston do not get along.
We can look at the behavior of domestic animals and draw analogies with humans. They are just asserting their needs. Especially when you consider that all these cats were homeless from the beginning.

Major concern: reports have not seen Larry since the Sunaks moved in at 10 Downing Street.
The Sunaks are not animal lovers and actually very superstitious.
They posed with a 🐕 as a sarcastic gesture about Indians and dogs,no more.
As for our little feline Mousers getting paid sorry,the government made them the responsibility of the Staff. I am sure the Staff consider that as "personal expense" but it is the silence that concern is because we love Larry who has been at NO10 for 1 2 years and he is nearly 16.
We been to know what the Sunaks have done with Larry.

The cats that did the best in this task were promoted in ranks and ranks. Nice video but a shame at the beginning that you felt it necessary to perpetuate the American need to decry British weather.
It is a maritime temperate climate at the point where three climate systems meet so that when one is prevalent that is the weather we get.
Neither too hot or too cold, nor too dry or too wet. It is always variable and interesting and great for opening conversations. The ideal climate and many from less fortunate lands flock to Britain to enjoy it. And generous benefits system too.

How could you say that Larry doesn’t like men when there was a photo of Larry on David Cameron’s lap? A cat who doesn’t love someone does not go on his/her lap. Your implying that Larry only love Obama is wrong.
