In 1982 I was a freshman in HS. These early MTV videos meant EVERYTHING to us kids. The next day at school we’d talk about “see those camouflage drums in the Pat Benetar video yesterday?” or “see the live Rush video of Tom Sawyer?” Stuff of that nature. It was a wonderful time to grow up.

I was actually in that audience for the shoot and it was so fun! Must have been '81 or '82 at Paramount studios. She and Neil talked to us casually about all sorts of stuff and the band did a handful of songs. It was such a fun day that I'll always remember. Classy, sweet and gorgeous couple to say the least! :)

Believe it or not... I was in church (Catholic church) in Springfield, Mass about 25 years ago... and when it came time to shake hands with the people (part of the mass) I turned around to shake people's hands... and lo and behold... Pat Benatar was standing right there behind me. I shook her hand and she said, "Peace be with you" with a smile on her face. What an unexpected thrill for me. NOTE: She had performed a concert the night before in Springfield. I remember hearing that it was solely jazz music that she sung / played. (None of her rock songs).
