    Thank you for this video. I read that the Pipa textiles aren’t removable but your video disproves it clearly.

    Hi Emily, this was such a useful video! Thank you :) Do you have any suggestions on how to remove the reddish-brown discoloration from sun exposure? My Pipa is in the black caviar color and I've noticed some discoloration coz of sun exposure :/

      My friend has this with her Nuna car seat from sweat. :( My research has found that due to the organic materials they use, this can happen. It thankfully does not compromise the car seat safety, but it is not ideal.

    You mentioned you'd cover how you clean the straps but didn't cover it in the video. What do you do to get those clean?

      I use a gentle soap like blue dawn or Branch Basics and wipe with a damp cloth. I had some spit-up stains that I had to leave the wet cloth on for a while to get off.

      I got a bowl of warm soapy water and warm clean water. Pull the straps out as far as they will go. Bundle up the straps and put them in soapy water, massage them until the water stops getting dirtier. Then rinse in the clean water. Empty out the soapy water and refill.
      Repeat until no more dirt comes out. A wet vacuum is a great way to get the excess water out along with all the dirt and grime that's dissolved in it.
      Once you've done one end of the straps, feed them back through the seat and do the same to the other end so the whole lot is cleaned.
      For the crotch buckle same principle, but use a cloth or paper towel to wash and rinse.
      Then just leave to air dry.

    It is my understanding that the grey body support stays in place, it’s just the little inserted pillow inside the lower support that gets removed after 11 pounds.

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  10 місяців тому

      You are correct! You can leave in the head support pillow, but it is not required!

      Yes, it is! Just take the plastic part out before washing.

    Any suggestions on cleaning the blue styrofoam? Some fluids ended up getting on it through the buckle holes 🤢.

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  7 місяців тому

      Oh no, sadly you can't remove it so, soap and water? You want to be careful to not compromise the integrity of the foam.

    I bought a used nuna pipa from somebody and it was a bit dirty in the picture. The seller offered to clean it but when I received it, it smells so strongly of detergent. I'm guessing she used a rag and wiped with detergent without giving it a proper rinse. Should I put it in the washer on a rinse cycle first and then wash with my desired detergent?

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  5 місяців тому

      I would was it fully with your detergent and see if the smell goes away (maybe by itself).

    Wait the entire insert comes out at 11lbs or just the little foam in the bottom insert? My girl is 9 weeks and I swear I’m still trouble shooting my urban everyday

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  5 місяців тому

      The only part you have to take out is the bottom insert. I left the head one in till 7 months or so, but you can do longer.

    Do you notice any fading with the black color?

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  Рік тому +1

      Some! Mainly where the babies feet are. My friend who has the same car seat experienced a lot of fading by the feet because her baby sweat a lot.

    • @holly9017
      @holly9017 Рік тому +1

      Mine didn’t fade much but the black got stained purple by sunscreen! Now I try to apply sunscreen once we arrive at our destination instead of before leaving the house
