My goal is to practice this as soon as I am fully recovered from injuries from falling down stairs. Give me a few weeks and I will return to karate which is my super blessing! I love your channel!
@@zhu-yun8717 I am already resuming training as it’s helping my recovery. My motto is “Wellness through Martial Arts”. Unbelievable how quickly it’s going! Thanks for your channel.
The constant rhythm leg kicks may be one of my favorites here. I'm only a few months into studies, but I notice the things that follow heavy balance are some of the "funnest" to do, once the balance is down.
People are stuck at home a lot in these parts, but I notice of of the best things for faster/powerful kicks is insane numbers of repetitions on each kick, every time exercising them. What I think some of your exercises may help more with is getting high kicks, and also adding control through movement of those kicks. I never tried the squat to kick positions you've done (though I have tried knee to kick positions), and I think I might try some of those more often. One of my favorites I watched in your video was the constant motion continuous kicks you were doing. They seem like something, I might actually be able to do fantastically, if I really put the practice in.
@@michaelrishot1839 It's really nice that you've noticed that repetition is the key! Make sure you're doing them in a correct form though! Watch my channel and please learn the correct, effective ways of moving!
I am moving abroad and was finding a good routine to follow daily without any props since no one will be there to hold a pad for me. This is perfect to start with! Thanks a lot.
I'm loving these kick work out routine videos. Gives more efficient works to add or adjust for my kicking routine plan after recovering from my surgery.
i consider taekwondo a self defense and art not a killing weapon thank you very much i learned the basics because im weakling when bullies are around you earned a subscriber.
Slowing the motion of your kicks to near mollasus and performing them in the air with your hands up will create extreme isometric muscle in the legs and abs
I recently subscribed to your channel. I think this is definitely one of the best Karate channels in you tube. Keep up the good work. My mother lives in Japan. I am from the Philippines, Karate teacher and Muay Thai coach as well. Stay safe.
Thank you for this. After multiple injuries from jiu jitsu and overtraining with burpees etc...my upper body is structurally compromised. But I can still kick and knee pretty well so going to hone in on that ability now. I just have to not get too excited and overtrain that too
Excellent exercises. I appreciated the 10-second breaks between them. Many lessons seem to refrain from breaks of any kind between exercises. The result is that students are too physically exhausted on a muscular level to pay attention to any of their techniques. I think a successful sensei should know when to rest his students during training. Sadly, there are many sanseis out there, not many of them are successful.
...I used to do taekwondo and I wish I could hold on to the wall for the "keagari","mm..gawashi?" And "figure of 8" lol~ it would make it so much easier~ I eventually got used to it just standing on one leg but still~
I've bee doing this for a while not having known it was specifically for kicks. I just did most of this to stay limber and mobile. But there are a couple things on here im glad i got to see so i could correct myself, Thank You!
Dude. Your videos are very good. In addition, what you show in this video is very correct and helps a lot. BRAVO! (i am 3 dan in taekwondo (wtf) and 1 dan in (itf)).
Thank you for the leg workout, I've been off from any kicking for some time and was looking to get back into a leg routine. A couple of minor points: As I mentioned, this is a leg routine, and you have shown us (10) leg exercises for your routine (not (10) leg workouts). Also, the last two were tracing "figure eights" with your feet, not an "H". Thanks again, looking forward to watching more of your videos.
I'm getting back into shape/exercising more, I grew up playing soccer at a relatively high level and snowboarding and I'm just curious - for the exercises where you're extending your legs slowly with a hand on the wall, is it beneficial in any way try the exercises without a hand on the wall? Just wondering if this helps further improve balance and just getting the properly feel for putting the exercises/training into actual use (sparring/competition/etc.). Thanks and great channel! Glad I found it.
I have a question so when your holding the kick shield for you partner what is the best way to stand more firmly? 😅 last practice i fell straight on my butt while holding the kick shield…
😂 I like your courage and confidence and I agree with you. I like Asian culture. Already study about South Korea, and I just started watching history movies and documents about China. This attaching for Asian in my family come from generation, a new generation is being born the same way, without any encouragement from their aunts.
Just watched your "Secret to making black belt" video, in which you emphasize the importance of landing the front foot on toe/ball for various reasons, including length of step. Here, for the drill beginning at 1:37, you clearly land heel first. Why?
Though he is a young Karateka, his knowledge is vast. Very very appreciative. Thanks from India.
Yes I agree. I am a 13 year old boy from Pakistan 🇵🇰 and my kicks have gotten really fast and stronger with this. He is good
This is great strength training for Taekwondo as well.
I agree!
❤️
How frequent? 2 or 3 times a week?

Although I agree to a certain extent, the purpose of practicing slowly is to learn the correct course of the kick.
I watch and do this everyday 🌸☺️ thank you so much!
So many martial artists could benefit from this workout. Great video!
