Hello Jordan, I just wanted to tell you as a father I'm very proud to see you taking a huge leap of faith. After I got out of the military I went back to Europe to see the Berlin wall come down, and I then stayed in Holland for several months. It takes big balls to do what your doing. I now live in Spain 6 months out of year and then back to the states. I can tell you are a solid young man and you have your head on right. Your going to love living in the Netherlands, a little cold but when the weather brakes it's a beautiful country.I wish you the best and I did subscribe. I'm looking forward to your blogs.
I don’t know why I’m writing this comment but man, I’m a 20yo dude, taking a gap year off college, dealing with messed up anxiety. I don’t even want to get on a plane. My dad was traveling the world at my age. I can’t fathom the idea that in 10 years I’ll be out of school, well into a career and maybe even raising a family already. I don’t know when I stopped being a kid or if I did really. Feels like it’s moving too fast and I’m behind. Wish I could go back in my childhood and undo all the disconnection, video game addiction and bad habits that led to shit like this.

The way the Dutch speak English is probably closer to how it was once spoken in England than it is now. Bilingual Dutch people usually understand more of the old English of 1000+ years ago when it is recited accurately aloud than we do!

@@bluetheminx I don't live in the Netherlands I live in the UK, but it's not that hard really. In the US everyone seems to be risk averse and scared of change but the wages are good, or you can work online, much more affordable, everyone speaks English, and it's easy to learn languages and adapt to the setting. Honestly it's a great move.

You can do it, but moving to a different country without a visit is not the best way, but others have done it. It will work if you are determined for it to work. Hopefully you’ll have your girlfriend to guide you in the Netherlands. I’m moving there myself in June, but Ive been there and saved for the move, and identified a residency visa .

Hey Jordan, i want to wish you all the best here in the Netherlands. I just found out about your youtube channel and really enjoyed the few video's i've watched. It's a very nice country and hope it will give you what you've been hoping for. Im 33 now, born and raised in Westland, close to The Hague and Hoek van Holland. And its nice to see and hear what an American thinks of our tiny country. In May this year im going on a roadtrip with my brother and we're gonna drive from Miami to Los Angeles. This is a dream coming true and can't believe im gonna see palm tree's for the first time in my life. And i can't wait to experience the Texas heat XD. Europe is beautiful no matter which country you decide to stay in ! there is just so much history and culture everywhere ! it is not called "The Old Continent" for nothing ! Here is where civilization spread everywhere ! I'm from Italy, but I know the Netherlands is a great country. The current civilisations we have are deeply influenced by the western world. Modern medicine, democracy, freedom of speech, human rights, electricity and so much more.. that is not to say Africa didn’t contribute to the world, it surely has. So did the Persians for example. That part of Boston reminds me of Nijmegen (Not too far of Breda, you should visit it sometimes). It also reminds me of The Hague, as in, The Hague is not too big and not too small, just perfect. Come visit some time, you probs would need to see Scheveningen (and also try to pronounce it well muhahaha). Great vlog man, lovely adventure
