Hi Jovi, I came to The Netherlands with my parents when I was 8, back in 1989. I grew up in a kibbutz in Israel, and thought the small Dutch village I came to was like a metropole. My parents wanted to leave the kibbutz and my dad already had contacts with a Dutch software company. He also applied to jobs in the USA (and even got the job at IBM), but we ended up moving here and I am very glad of it. I always felt very welcome in The Netherlands, wasn’t bullied anymore (like back home) and adapted to Dutch culture and language quite easily. Today people hardly believe I wasn’t born here.
The Netherlands is awesome and coming from a very stressful background of living my whole life, this country has so much to offer... 🕊️ ❤️ We come here from the US to study and we have kids. The kids are happy here too 🇳🇱
I've been thinking of moving to the Netherlands from USA (Detroit) ever since I visited in 2019. I'm so glad I found your channel. I think I'm going to kick off my shoes and stay awhile girl!! LOL
I'm moving this week to Amsterdam from the US as part of DAFT. I spent months researching and working things out before starting my business and visa paperwork. (Also got married!) I'm so excited to live in the Netherlands.
I missed you a lot, hope everything is going well with your daughters health. I live in Portugal but my daughter lives in The Hague and through your videos i learned a lot about the place she's calling home. I thank you and hope all the best in your future job and keep on with the vlogs please.
I was born originally in Poland but moved to the Netherlands because my mother married a Dutchman. Suddenly had a stepsister of my own age which I grew up with, far better than being alone as a kid so I didn't mind. Learnt Dutch within 2 months and went on to grow up, study and work here. For me it's my home and I feel like a Dutchman but I still go visit my roots in the summer. Not quite as spectacular as how you ended up here but hey.
Good luck on finding a great job! Thanks for your videos, I love them. As a dutchmen, I find it really interesting how people from other cultures/countries experience the Netherlands. We can learn so much from eachothers experiences and views.
My husband was offered a job here and we decided to take the opportunity and moved from South Africa to the Netherlands in April this year. So still new and settling in and learning how things work, but overall we are loving it here! I would love to see a video about starting your own business 😊

Wow, I found your YT channel few weeks ago and instantly fell in love with your content. Now I realised that we are from the same country. Keep up the great work Jovana. Hugs from Serbia 🇷🇸
Thank you Jovie! I started watching your videos a week or so ago, when I put "Kraamzorg" in the box, trying to find out as much as I could, as my daughter, an ex-pat living in Zandvoort, was having a baby. Suffice it to say I love your content; your calm, but enthusiastic videos helped me to feel that my daughter is good hands in the Netherlands. She is now a new mother and we can't wait to see her in three weeks, when we travel back.
Jovie, thank you alot for a great video, you make me feel proud and blush about my own country. life is more than just work. ( i forget it sometimes myself )

Hi, Jovie, thank you for the video! It is amazing that we are in the flow as we'll be also releasing our video about "Why the Netherlands" on Saturday :)
Thank you for this informative video! It was nice to hear more about your background. Firstly, I would love to see you make a video about how to find a job in the Netherlands as that is currently where we are headed. I understand Dutch fluently and have Dutch citizenship but was raised all over the world. Also, really glad that you will still be making more videos😊(Moving from Seattle!)
Like yourself, I was working for a company that was sold to a multi national organisation and our conditions and benefits changed overnight, not for the better, it was a case of sign the new contract of employment or there is the door, I took the door along with 75% of my office staff.
Hi Jovie, I'm originally from UK. Married a Dutch woman back in the '70s and spent the whole of our marriage living in the UK until I retired ten years ago, aged 60. We then moved here. The place we lived wasn't suitable for our retirement, and we also figured it was her turn to live in her own country having lived so long in mine. So here we are, and enjoying life here. Got my Dutch nationality (and passport!) earlier this year, and was able to keep my British nationality too. Love being an EU citizen again! (Don't talk to me about Brexit 🤬🤬🤬). Love your channel too. Also love cycling and the Bicycle Dutch channel, which I highly recommend.
@Tarquin Midwinter, can you please advise if someone wants to retire in NL, how is health insurance, is it very expensive? Is there a public option, like in Germany where there is a cut off age to apply for? Thanks
Great video. Where you live seems a lot cleaner than here in Rome! I've been to the Netherlands twice and if I were single I might consider living there. What exactly did you like so much about Arizona? I ended up in Italy simply because I am of Italian origin and I wanted to explore my roots. I also didn't care for aspects of US society and I found myself more at ease here in Italy. Although after 12 years, I find that both the USA (I'm from CT) and Italy have their joys and pitfalls. At the end of the day you need to decide what you are willing to put up with.
What did I like about Arizona- the weather, my house, the people, the food, the colors, the spirituality of it, lots of things to see, the nature. So much.
As a law student this video was sooo inpiring and helpful ^^ I don't want to work in criminal law because I'm also very sensitive and I have experienced major trauma that would be triggered in that kind of work. I totally understand you on that and I'm glad that you've found an alternative that works for you :) And congratulations for finding a place where you both feel at home! I've thought about moving to the Netherlands quite a few times and maybe someday I'm going to move there ^^ Greetings from Germany
Aww, Jovie, I watched this after your video about your experience in the hospital after your daughter's surgery. I feel like this is you reminding yourself why you love it in the Netherlands after such awful aftercare in a Dutch hospital. I hope you and your daughter can recover from that trauma. And I hope it won't leave a permanent stain on the country.
As I've said before: You're officially Ducthified :-) Life is just good here! My wife was once a systems analyst for a US company (Honeywell) and we chose that she quit her job when our first daughter came. Well I have to say: it took ten years before we managed to have a child. We eventually adopted two beautiful daughters from China. Now 21 and 23 years old. But the following is about stopping work. We both had very good jobs. Me at the government, she at Honeywell. But they still chose to let me work. Why? The security I had with the Dutch government. But what I really want to say: I understand you well. When our children got a little older, she went back to work. Another company, but she's having a good time.
Love your videos! I’m considering an international move from the US as well. I’d love a video on how The Netherlands differs from some of the surrounding countries. Maybe even some history too? I’m considering Belgium as a place to settle down and am curious how it differs from The Netherlands. Good luck with your job applications!
Would you be interested in doing a video series about international criminal law? Like, what it is, why it's important, how it works, why it does or doesn't work like we would hope it would, recent developments, etcetera. I became kinda intrigued listening to your life story, so yeah.
Born and raised Dutch, it's always quite refreshing to learn from foreigners what an amazing country we live in. Hope that all the "foreigners" who decided to come and live and work here feel that they have made the right choice. Welcome to the tiny country that has a place for everyone.
Such an exiting and interesting story! Just 1 question comes to mind. Being (at least partly) American, how do you feel that the USA has not accepted the International Criminal court? And even threatened employees who engage in investigations concerning USA and Israel misconducts.
Even worse, if an American citizen is put to jail by the International court of justice in The Hague, the President must take mandatory military action against (NATO ally) The Netherlands. At least that was US law some years ago. I don't think it changed under Trump.
@@JoviesHome Well really tough to keep you responsible for those things i must say. Another interesting thing is that the US tax their citizens even when they live abroad.....
Hey Jovie! What a nice video and amazing history! I’m also a lawyer, originally from Brazil, but living and working in the NL. I would like to hear more about job applications. Tks!
Hi Jovie, my German mother met my Dutch father at a music festival in England, in 1967.. some time ago now! She made sure I was born in Amsterdam, and not in the suburb where they lived (and which she loathed). I grew up between the cultures, and it has shaped me in many ways. We spent 6-12 weeks a year in the German city where my mom grew up, and it feels like a second home. I do cherish the Netherlands though, I agree with you that there is a lot to love around here!
Came to the Netherlands from the USA when I was 22 to marry my Dutch boyfriend. Still here: 48 years and counting. Love it! Would never return to the US.
I ended up in the Netherlands because at least 6 complete generations of all my ancestors were Dutch and Frisian, so....... Interesting to hear your story. Of course we have heard bits and pieces but hearing the complete story makes me understand you so much more. I hope Daan is doing ok and of course your daughter, you and the rest of your family as well.
Hi Jovie, nice to see you again. Been missing you. To answer your questions: I was born in the Netherlands and I like to see more about you looking for a job.
I moved home to Texas from Scottsdale Arizona to be near family during this pandemic. I still want to eventually move to the Netherlands one day soon I hope. I am a commercial transportation adjuster and make ok money...I would love to know how to get a job there, so yes please do that video. Thank you for all your videos, you are very welcoming and warm and all your videos are so informative in a fun way.
If you want get a job here, you'll need a working permit for the time that you are planning to work here. Is that time shorter than 3 months, you'll get a temporary working permit from the UWV and if it's longer than you have to apply for a combine work and stay permit at our national immigration service (IND). If you manage to get a job before you move here, your employer should be able to help you with that and the certainty of having a job here can also make the process a bit easier. Just make sure you don't end up with any shady employment business, some people try to take advantage of labor migrants by putting them to work and claiming most of their income for "housing and mediation costs"; leaving them with nothing. If you plan to stay permanently, there are also ways to do that but that'll take at least 3 years before you're eligible if I remember correctly. And as a word of caution, since you're used to the weather in Texas and Arizona: It's a lot colder and more rainy here.
i was born in holland, but raised in Curaçao. after my school i went to study in holland. after 11 years there i went back to Curaçao. to be with my dad.
Hi Jovie, Nice video about your background. I was wondering about that for some time, since you gave some hints here and there, but this video puts all those hints in hé right place. I’ve been watching videos of you for some time now and I find them very intriguing. You describe our country from an outsider’s standpoint, even though you have passed your ‘inburgering’ (congratulations on that btw 👍🏻), and have acquired your Dutch citizenship I assume. As a born and raised Dutch (actually Frisian) person, it’s refreshing to hear such positive messages about our country, whereas we Dutch usually focus on the negative aspects, as you probably know. Another btw: my wife is American, from Colorado currently, but she lived in various places in the US. Because of our work situation, we are still living separately, even though we got married in 2014. She did try to find work in the Netherlands and even had two interviews in person over here, next to a number of applications by email, but unfortunately they did not result in a job. She’s a computer programmer, but that field is so diverse that it’s hard to meet the specific rqualifications that employers are looking for for their vacancies. That’s why she accepted a new job in the US, but that meant that we are still living separately. The goal for the future is that she will move to the Netherlands and that we’ll retire somewhere in the north eastern part of the Netherlands, preferably in Fryslân, but Groningen or Drenthe are also taken into consideration. I have been living in Wassenaar for 31 years now, and very happily. It’s a very nice place, with still a lot of free and green space, but I do miss the countryside. Anyway, I really enjoyed listening to the story of your life. Success with your job applications. One good result should be enough I guess, but it usually takes more than one effort to find that one. Also, keep up the good work with your videos. 👍🏻👍🏻🤗 Warm regards!
Heeey Jovi, welcome back. You look good and kind of relaxed so I guess all is good. ❤ I am very much interested how the studies went and what would you recommend?
Hi Jovi, love to see your Videos on UA-cam. Im just Dutch, born and raised here and interested in non Dutch people living in NL and their opinion about living in this country
So interesting hearing you talk about your family backgroung, where have you already lived and your work experiences. You seem like a lovely person :) Have you seen the movie Quo vadis, Aida? It's about Serbia (sadly about the not so nice part in it's history). I won't watch it because the theme would be probably too strong for me (I'm sensitive too), but I heard, it's a great movie.
I really want to move back to the Netherlands. I moved to England when I was 9 because my parents wanted me to speak English. Once I have completed my accounting qualification, I definitely want to make this move happen. The pandemic has made me realized that England is not for me anymore. Maybe it's because I live in a small city and the pandemic has made many businesses go into liquidation.
@@darinakalinova2180 Good Luck to you too, I hope you are able to live in a city, where there plenty of work opportunities of your choice (if you are looking for work)
@@michellezevenaar I agree. That's why I don't want to live in my current location when I want to settle down etc. But I do miss the Netherlands very much, I didn't get a choice to stay in the Netherlands when I was child (If I did I would).

Your childhood is almost identical to mine. I was born in Belgrade in 1982 and my parents immigrated to Michigan in 1988. Netherlands is in a housing crisis: not enough and if available very very expensive both to buy or rent. You might want to think of an alternative cause this may take years.

Too bad you didn't stay in Canada, as I grew up in a Dutch community on the West Coast of Canada, and my first wife and I loved the Netherlands when we went there. Canada needs more good people from anywhere. And as how my American friends and relatives are suffering (and some don't know they are...) I'm glad I'm here. I really love your channel, and hope you're all doing well.
Where is there a Dutch community on the West Coast of Canada? Possibly you are referring to one of the towns or cities in the Fraser Valley, which has a large Dutch-Canadian population. I happen to be Dutch-born and have lived in the Vancouver area since the age of three. I am now 70.
Thanks sensitive well edu Lady, very nice video, your presentation and voice are wonderful. Yes agree The Netherlands is a great country to live and for children the best country to grow up. My wife and i are born in the Netherlands and agree with both Netherlands and with Arizona the place to live, forgiven the summer heat. Wide open nature to enjoy like nowhere else in the World. We visited Scottsdale Arizona couple of times a fabulous place to visit and when we retire we hope move to the Cavecreek / Carefree AZ area OMG dreaming. Subscribed.
Hi! I would love to learn more about both applying for professional jobs in the Netherlands and starting your own business. I'm a US citizen who works in tech. Planning my move abroad in the next 12-18 months.
I have always known that The Netherlands is a great country, that's why I was born here 😁😄😉😄 One day I stumbled upon this here, Jovie's channel, I got in and never left.....😎 I love hearing about how "foreigners" especially Americans view our/my country. Having worked (and traveled) in and through several cultures I say that, taking all aspects into account The Netherlands is the best country to live in, flaws and all. Other channels that I like are about Ava, an American girl living in Utrecht, Haley's channel, she's American living in München Germany and Felicia's channel, she's a German girl living in Cincinatty USA
Same for me, i'm also Dutch and interested in de expat stories. More Dutch people should read this to learn something about the situation in the Netherlands, instead of complaining about all the things that are wrong here...
This was something, i always was wondering about.Thanks. And i for sure can't handle everything that is prosecuted at the international court of justice (part of the UN, not recognized by the US), always take care of your own, before it is to late. Also liked the little thing about Oklahoma (like the state, not the politics). I would love to see how you prepare for a job interview, and how you handled the first letter for the job ? (Dutch or English)
A video on job hunting will be awesome! Now, on your question, I came here running away from the high violence levels and social issues I had while living in Brazil, plus I didn't like the climate there (way too hot for my taste) and the fact that I was too different (reverse racism is a thing, sorry) and here I feel I can be more "normal". My original plan was to move to Sweden, but a friend from here told me it was worth trying the Netherlands, so I gave it a chance and I didn't regret it, for the same reasons you mention (plus the weather is milder than Sweden's both during winter and summer, extra bonus!). Everything is just clean and safe here (at least in comparison with anything I tried before) and I strongly believe the welfare state is responsible for the peace we find here, but not in other places like the Americas (even Canada is lacking massively in that sense, sadly). I am here for almost four year and still didn't learn enough Dutch to communicate, even though I really wanted to even before flying here for the first time (I just keep repeating the same lessons, forgetting 95%, giving up, trying again) 🤦🏻♂️ Glad you're happy and now returning to the law. I wish you find great opportunities and a good match!
@@gweisa899 Ah! That sounds smart! I hope I can retain it, because as far as I tried I keep repeating the same lessons and forgetting them, but I only studied on line.
I would love to move to The Netherlands. My husband is dutch and we decided to live in my home country 16 years ago. I deeply regret it now. As many latin americans I live in a country that gets worst everyday. Now that we are almost 50 we want a better life for us and our children. Hope one day we can move to the beautiful Netherlands.
Hi Jovie. I too am considering making the plunge to immigrate to Europe. I currently work as an Intelligence Officer for the Dept. of Defense and am in Iraq for a year but I wanted to use this as a stepping stone to get a job with SHAPE HQ in Belgium or working in the Netherlands or in Germany where most of the U.S. jobs are but I fell in love with your explanations as to why "the Netherlands" and I am hooked. My nephew is currently studying music in the Netherlands. Son of my sister who lives in Spain. Any information on jobs and how to land them would be great. I can get my resume changed over to a CV in no-time. Chiuse.
My Grandma was Dutch, I wish I could visit there to get the whole leaving the USA process started. I don’t hate the USA ? But I have always wanted to visit where my moms mom is from. Do they sale Ana Luisa in the USA do you know?
As a lawyer: How was your transition from a common law system to a civil law system? Also: how did you adopt to the different drafting style of contracts on the Continent?
Hi Jovie ! I too worked at the ICTY and experienced and worked with the same disgusting 'material' as you did and since you shouldn't do that work for a long time and so I got out of it as well and moved on to other things and still live in that fair city.
I am not there yet but will be in a year or two! My partner is dutch and I hope to move to be with him soon. I would love to hear about working and applying for jobs. I'm not quite as educated as you are but I am worried about finding work speaking very little dutch. Any advice would be awesome
I wish you all the best in your transition to The Netherlands! Here's a video I made about jobs a while back- I hope it helps! ua-cam.com/video/-TOAmlDmBB4/v-deo.html

@@ingridwatsup9671 I didn't mean as in vlogging and sharing family but more along the lines of activities and places to go in the Netherlands for families.
I already knew about your history with the law but it was still an interesting video. I was wondering if you speaking Serbian was a major reason for you getting the internship? Or would you have qualified anyway? I can completely understand the emotions that made you want to stop working on international criminal law. I probably wouldn't be able to do a job like that. Dealing with the worst evil in the world all day and every day? I think it would make me very sad and depressed very quickly. Probably sick too. And being in a defense team defending those monsters? How do you motivate yourself to do your job properly? I'm currently not working. At least not in a paid job but I'm now a mantelzorger. It pays nothing but it's the most satisfying job I ever had. You asked how I ended up in the Netherlands? Well my mom pooped me out here. 😉
I would have qualified without Serbian, but speaking probably gave me advantage over other candidates. I believe that everyone is entitled to a fair trial and being entitled to a defense lawyer is part of that, for everyone, no matter what you are accused of.
A job related video would be really cool. Im here on a study visa, but plan on staying for like... ever lol. So my job struggle is based on my visa hours, however, I wanna know what to do once Im applying for jobs with a work visa My story: Masters program, fell in love with a friend who is Dutch and he and his family showed me the schools here (so I wouldnt go to Germany as planned) and now Im 2ish years in and cannot fathom leaving!!!!

Like yourself, I was working for a company that was sold to a multi national organisation and our conditions and benefits changed overnight, not for the better, it was a case of sign the new contract of employment or there is the door, I took the door along with 75% of my office staff.
Wow! I'm glad you knew that you deserved better.
👍. Enjoy your stay.
Good on you! Hope you enjoy many more years here being happy and healthy ….fellow Dutchman 🌷🌷🌷
Congrats on the Dutch passport, and thanks for sharing your story!
Welkom
@Tarquin Midwinter, can you please advise if someone wants to retire in NL, how is health insurance, is it very expensive? Is there a public option, like in Germany where there is a cut off age to apply for? Thanks
Welcome back!
You talked about this in little bits across several videos.
Still nice to hear your life's story.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Glad you are back
Great video.
So much.
Jovie is back 🥰
Thanks for sharing, Jovie! My partner lives in the Netherlands (he is Dutch and we met in Vermont, US!)!
How about your heritage, your name seems to be pretty Dutch :)
So cool! The world is very small sometimes, isn't it!
Thank you for sharing some of your interesting background ! 💕🌷
As a law student this video was sooo inpiring and helpful ^^
I don't want to work in criminal law because I'm also very sensitive and I have experienced major trauma that would be triggered in that kind of work. I totally understand you on that and I'm glad that you've found an alternative that works for you :)
And congratulations for finding a place where you both feel at home!
I've thought about moving to the Netherlands quite a few times and maybe someday I'm going to move there ^^
Greetings from Germany
Thank you for sharing your story. I'm glad you happy with what you are doing now!
so nice to hear about your family. my grandparents are Danube Swabian (ethnic Germans from Yugoslavia) and they went to Germany after the war.
Very interesting! Thank you for sharing more of your story.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love your videos! I’m considering an international move from the US as well. I’d love a video on how The Netherlands differs from some of the surrounding countries. Maybe even some history too? I’m considering Belgium as a place to settle down and am curious how it differs from The Netherlands. Good luck with your job applications!
Belgium is a great place as well! Used to be part of the Netherlands.
I’m an American who studied abroad in Belgium last year. I love the country. I’m trying to get a job in Belgium. Best of luck in your plans.
Enjoyed your video! Good luck with the job applications! You’ll be great!
good to see a new video. missed your uploads!
Thank you, that's so nice to hear!
Would you be interested in doing a video series about international criminal law? Like, what it is, why it's important, how it works, why it does or doesn't work like we would hope it would, recent developments, etcetera. I became kinda intrigued listening to your life story, so yeah.
Glad you love it in my home country! All the best and blessings Jovie! xo
Yes! Thank you!
Born and raised Dutch, it's always quite refreshing to learn from foreigners what an amazing country we live in. Hope that all the "foreigners" who decided to come and live and work here feel that they have made the right choice. Welcome to the tiny country that has a place for everyone.
Always felt very welcome thank you😀
Such an exiting and interesting story!
@obimk1 Yes, thanks, I was refering to that act. I did not remember the name or year.
That's something I would have to answer over several bottles of wine. It's too much for a comment section!
@@JoviesHome Well really tough to keep you responsible for those things i must say. Another interesting thing is that the US tax their citizens even when they live abroad.....
Respect. Your job is hard. I worked... Years ago... In a law office with Asyl law etc. Its a tuff job.
Thank you! It really is!
Nice to see you, thanks for sharing your story.
Thanks for watching!
What a path :)
Love to hear from you and your experiences !
Thanks so much!
Hey Jovie! What a nice video and amazing history! I’m also a lawyer, originally from Brazil, but living and working in the NL. I would like to hear more about job applications. Tks!
Hi Vanessa- I made this video- I hope it helps you! ua-cam.com/video/-TOAmlDmBB4/v-deo.html
Have you been to Sweden? If so, how does it compare?
Thanks for the video, great as always! We want more!
Thanks so much!
Love your dutch inside views. Glad you're here/there. All the best from Germany.
Thanks Anka, I appreciate you!
Hi Jovie! Love your channel! Much love to you, girl!❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much 😘😘😘😘
Much love to you too!
Is sweet to hear, you fall in love with your husband and with this Country at the same time. I am Dutch but i like to watch youre video's
Hi Jovie, nice to see you again. Been missing you. To answer your questions: I was born in the Netherlands and I like to see more about you looking for a job.
Thanks for sharing and answering the question! I appreciate it!
And as a word of caution, since you're used to the weather in Texas and Arizona:
It's a lot colder and more rainy here.
I'm so glad you enjoy my channel. Here's a video I made about getting a job ua-cam.com/video/-TOAmlDmBB4/v-deo.html

@@JoviesHome it is but these days it's sooo hot not fun anymore hahah
Warm regards!
nice video...now i just noticed how close you live. welcome to the hague!
We love having you!
Thank you so much!
Love you girl!! ♥️♥️♥️
Haven't seen your content in ages.
Glad you are ok, stay safe.
Funny, we are planning to move to UK. Best of luck.
@@darinakalinova2180 Good Luck to you too, I hope you are able to live in a city, where there plenty of work opportunities of your choice (if you are looking for work)
I wish you all the best in your move!
It could be thw village your in. I noticed a huge difference in mentality in different cities there.
@@michellezevenaar I agree. That's why I don't want to live in my current location when I want to settle down etc. But I do miss the Netherlands very much, I didn't get a choice to stay in the Netherlands when I was child (If I did I would).
Look who we have here... it's been a while.
It’s good to be back. I missed posting!! Now it will be back to the regular, weekly schedule! 🥰 thank you for coming back as well!

Your childhood is almost identical to mine. I was born in Belgrade in 1982 and my parents immigrated to Michigan in 1988. I still live in the US, Florida of all places, but have been hounding my husband to get his Italian citizenship so we can move to The Netherlands. It might never happen so I just have to live vicariously through your videos lol ❤️
Netherlands is in a housing crisis: not enough and if available very very expensive both to buy or rent. You might want to think of an alternative cause this may take years.
@@ingridwatsup9671 you should see the housing crisis in the US. In my area prices have gone up $200,000 alone in the last year. Either way I already planned on it taking years if it even happens.

Hi Jovie, I was born in Delft 36 years ago, I still live in that area. Most of my jobs are for the Dutch covernment, at the city halls, but its alomst for a short periode of time, its hard to find a steady job in the Neterlands, I spoke to my ant se lives in South Africa and there is a lot of job opportunities. I have a few months left before I need to find a new one, and also in here they think I am old, because my age of 36.
I'm glad you're enjoying it, thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Where is there a Dutch community on the West Coast of Canada? Possibly you are referring to one of the towns or cities in the Fraser Valley, which has a large Dutch-Canadian population. I happen to be Dutch-born and have lived in the Vancouver area since the age of three. I am now 70.
Thank you so much for sharing, awesome video :)
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks sensitive well edu Lady, very nice video, your presentation and voice are wonderful. Yes agree The Netherlands is a great country to live and for children the best country to grow up. I have always known that The Netherlands is a great country, that's why I was born here 😁😄😉😄
One day I stumbled upon this here, Jovie's channel, I got in and never left.....😎
I love hearing about how "foreigners" especially Americans view our/my country.
You made a good decision, being born here! 😂 Thanks for being here and sharing your thoughts!
mooi en boeiend verhaal. dank.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I appreciate it!
I am here for almost four year and still didn't learn enough Dutch to communicate, even though I really wanted to even before flying here for the first time (I just keep repeating the same lessons, forgetting 95%, giving up, trying again) 🤦🏻♂️
Glad you're happy and now returning to the law. I wish you find great opportunities and a good match!

Chiuse.
