I'm going to do the same thing with mine. I'm a detailer and I do the same to my Morris Oxford from 1952. I'm kind of divided in letting a bit of the age in the vinyl or just paint it all like you did here. Great work! 👌

Hey Telmo, Its up to you. You can decide how much paint you want to put on. With an old seat like yours, you may not want to put too much paint on to try and keep the vintage look and patina!

Curious can you use two different colors when coloring a car seat? Example on a car seat the middle section would be grey the rest of the seat would be cinnamon. Thanks

Yes, it can be done absolutely. In most cases though we don't recommend colour changing...if its already 2 tone where certain panels are a different colour, then yes it can be done without any issues. You will just have to make sure it is masked correctly.

Absolutely stunning and so sympathetically done. Are you able to restore duotone Morris Minor seats and how does the cost of repair compare to buying a complete set of new seat covers ?

Fantastic results. How long would a job like this take?

Something like this could easily take 2-3 days as you have toi wait for the filler to dry naturally. It may also need top up filler as it shrinks when it dries...

What do you use to soften the old dried leather before refinishing it?

We use a couple of products depending on the condition of the leather:
      1) If the leather doesn't need filling and colouring but is just hard and dry - then we use Colourlock Old Leather Softener.
      2) If the leather does need full restoration or colouring work - then we use Licker Oil which is water soluble and therefore can be diluted. It makes it easier to degrease this than Step 1 as the paint and filler etc may not bond very well to an oily surface. Hope that makes sense.

All very nice, if it weren't for the fact that you have to sit on the seats.
