One of the best detailing videos I’ve ever seen. Please, please do more old Mercedes, esp from the 70s to 90s they are so overbuilt that they usually come back nicely from a good detailing.
for its time, the paint job on those mid-80's E-series, both the 190 and 300, were indestructible, much better than cars I've had over the last 15 years, in my opinion. I've had both an '85 190 e, in red just like this one, and an '87 gold-ish 300, each got a long holiday weekend of love from me at some point during the time I had them - wash, clay bar, hand polish. Now, if I had either, I would do a ceramic coat but those weren't around when i had the cars. This is just an incredible result though, well done! maybe i need to find one of these again, they were my favorite cars to date
I'm finishing up my very first paid detailing job today, and this is excellent inspiration as I hit the exterior potion of the job. Thanks, my friend! Beautiful video!
That is one of the best TRANSFORMATIONS I have seen in detailing in a LONG time. Even not getting out the deep imperfections, which most car owners would be totally fine with, this car looks 1000 times better than it did. Anyone would be proud to have that car now!

Out there washing and doing decon in pouring down rain. That's commitment. Like a Rocky training montage, punching cold meat, flipping tires in the snow level badass.👍👌✌
I had the very same look on my Corrado G60 from 1991 when I bought it. Totally matte and grey, sometimes even pinkish. Handpolished it with a variety of autoglym for 26 hours, all by hand, and brought back life into the red paint again. Looks nice, even it's been 9 years since I did that. I only use wax. never ceramics, graphene or other types. This demands regular attention to the car, and the couple here in this video looked happy about the result, although they would probably not maintain it weekly, so then this treatment is meaningfull. Job well done. Cheers.
Still think that'll be W123. I mean the reason W201 is so respected is because it stands on the shoulders of giants. Giant in this case would be the legendary W123. The first car made by MB for the world market.
I have a 190E 2.3 and a W124 280TE. Both are sound but they would really benefit from this. 37 years ago, I was offered a job at a detailer's, but I was too young and still at school. They had RRs, MB SLs, Jags. All that leather and wood!

A total scam to keep you paying for nothing & to keep complete track of you with your phone being paired into the car. Any actual car with proper maintanance is able to do over million miles...you cannot say the same on the most cars of 30 years ago or more (not in case of some brands like the one in the video (
Javier Ruiz Homedes speaking with relativity. Old Hondas, Mercedes, BMW’s, Volvos etc. & newer cars are so much harder to work on than older ones. The “innovation” inside of the industry is anything but. The eco boost engine is a joke aswell.
So what? I have older Mercedes, one from 1969, one from 1987 and one from 1995, they all still shine! Is that so surprising? Don't forget, it is and will always be MERCEDES!
I have a Corolla that will be 32 years old this year. I hope to give it a similar restoration. Would look incredible with a more bright vibrant red than the faded red it is now.
Started my apprenticeship on 190E’ s & 124’s 123’s 126’s they were definitely built better in those days & had that plush ride unlike the stiff suspension of modern vehicles. The signal red paint or was it guards was always a problem even when just a few years old with blooming as I think they called it. Fantastic restoration job of the paint work guys great to see a W201 chassis still on the road. I recently discovered your channel and your quickly becoming my favorite detailing channel!!! I'm a diy weekend warrior and looking to learn more to up my game. Many channels push products to make money. Im a minimalist and hate needing so much equipment and different products, cleaners, supplies, ect ... Too easy to fall into a rabbit hole always looking for the next best thing. I plea with you to come out with more beginner simplistic videos that you give advice on what minimal equipment and specific methods and supplies you need to improve car detailing 90% better than the average person. I'm trying to create a car care routine that I can implement and use on a regular basis without constantly seeking out new improved methods and products. I'm looking for a tried and true simple quick and effective routine I can use for years to come. I really like the idea of doing a monthly maintenance wash, starting with a wash using a traffic film remover or best method to strip old wax/grease/film, followed by drying (not sure if towel vs leaf blower is faster as I'd prefer using just one method), followed by a wax and grease remover like duplicolor, followed by some type of paint sealant. My thought is to strip all wax each time I wash the car and then just apply a fresh coat of paint sealant after each wash. If I perform this routine 30 days I can have max protection and avoid needing frequent paint corrections. I figured doing a light clay with light polish correction once per year. What's your thoughts on this method and and suggestions would earn a long term new supporter!!!! Thank you!

@@redlineracing4947 I'm 40 and I've fixing modern cars by myself since I have drvn license. You only need some basic tools and a obd2 scan. If you feel better thinking old cars were better, even better made, good for you... But that's not true sir...
Absolutely brilliant, the car looked amazing considering how bad it was at the beginning. Could watch content like this all day
The paint quality on “old” cars are much better then the ones are on streets today.
So what? I have older Mercedes, one from 1969, one from 1987 and one from 1995, they all still shine! Is that so surprising? Don't forget, it is and will always be MERCEDES!
Wow the crap that came off the window rubber. Wish I lived near these guys.
I have a Corolla that will be 32 years old this year. I hope to give it a similar restoration. Would look incredible with a more bright vibrant red than the faded red it is now.
Beyond expectation. Great job !!!
If I had one criticism it would be the plastics ( wing mirrors & bumpers ) were never that glossy from the factory but amazing job definitely would recommend using you guys
That looks brilliant
mr2cqql is RIGHT! So is Jonny Harris! Great vid! Makes me miss my old w123 diesel turbo!
So satisfying :)) credit to merc there... to get that finish on todays water based paints be difficult, the old school lacquer and oil based paints so durable
This makes my heart skip a beat and almost brings a tear to my eye.
I love old 190s, e34s, e30s, golf mk1 and 2s and so on. Absolutely amazing job you guys have done! Fucking hell.
thank you for the kind words I love these older cars as well.
Loved this video. Giving a good old W201 190 some much needed yet well deserved love. + You guys love what you do. I see that!
Red pre-facelifted w201. Looks so cute!🥰
6:04 don’t know why I thought of this but that little spot in the middle looks 100% like Vermont
The car looks fantastic !!!
....
It looks better than a coach builders' respray costing maybe £3,000 ish ???
....
It's really incredible !!!
THANKS FOR THE UPLOAD
Love these older Mercs. Would happily have one of these over any modern car anyday. Especially if it looked that good!
because you cannot afford the new one, mr "riches" truth hurts eh
nothing beats the elegance of an older detailed car
I just love an old Mercedes and that one looked amazing. Brilliant video.
Thank you!
Thx u m8. Your method sounds solid, don't forget though it's all about enjoyment as well
The joy of turning a car which looks like a junk into a masterpiece is so satisfying...
junk🤔
I'm so bringing my car to you 😂 that was beautiful 👌
Хорошо что есть мастера которые восстанавливают такие легендарные автомобили , которые ещё связывают нас с эпохой прошлых лет и реалиями сегодняшнего одноразового хлама
Helps when you start off with a good paint
GREAT WHAAATT :You know we still have the real pro that knew what they're doing
damn, washing a car in yeezys, that's a flex. Nice job on the cinematography. Great job on the detail.
