In regards to the shadow element for rogue. I actually found that I can use twisting blades, then shadow step to an enemy far down the line and watch the blade follow me back all the way through the line of enemies. It hit a lot of enemies and causes a few explosions in its wake, which in turn causes more explosions. Then I use barrage on anything that becomes vulnerable to it and watch the ricochet. 👀
Yes!! I saw someone use twisting blades with Dash and then it clicked that that is so awesome, and I’m so glad I saw that because it’s fantastic. Shadow step I think means that you have to attack someone but that just means you can - in any direction and you do damage them and get them ready for critical strike, and then the blades come back through them and fuck them up. It’s awesome :) Also poison traps are fucking great
Playing Necro was so effortless never died once on veteran with it doing about 95% of the content in the beta including Butcher and world bosses. But most fun I'd say either Rogue or Sorc they have the best mobility skills and have multiple different builds that are viable without being too dependent on legendries.
I’ve only played Barbarian to lvl 25 and it’s was AMAZING! I’ve been a Barb guy since D2… D4 made it better… the hits feel good, it’s not as weak as ppl are saying, it’s just the Barb life of clicking buttons nonstop and taking it in the face.
Dood im playing necromancer and im running blight build with corpse explosion built with gear that amplifies it is far superior to the blood thing they all rave about. So yeah i cant wait to try out the barb hes gonna be my second maining a necromancer to advance in the game fast
Good to hear barbarian brother haha. I played Druid to try it out all beta and save barbarian for launch/ fresh and always play berserker tank styles and Druid was fun but whirlwind barbarian is life in Diablo 2 and can still go primal wolf warrior feel with barb with furs/ metal armor hybrids hopefully haha and stuff
I don’t have a clue on what to play. I only got a chance to play Druid in the beta as I had lack of time. I’m on the fence with, Druid, rogue or barb. Any recommendations? 😊
I found storm summoner can be insane. 1 shot elites and killed bosses in 5 sec but this also was only after finding 4 ledgs to make build possible. The best part of the Druid is after spending absurd amount of times getting ledgs I was able to make multiple different builds that felt unique and quirky go Druid.
I agree with your vid. Druid was super fun for me. I did an earth-only build with vinecreeper, so I was able to strategize my battles with immobilize, stun, and maneuvering the mobs in a narrow fork to hit them all with Boulder was super satisfying
Been playing a Trap focused Rogue, which has been a lot of fun. Poison trap triggers higher crit chance. Crits trigger shorter Ult timer. Ult trap sucks in mobs to my poison trap. All around, been enjoying that dynamic quite a bit. Certainly not my "least favorite" of the 5 (to each their own, right?)
I tried the twisting blades build on rogue and it wasn’t fun at all. I then switched to a poison flurry build and it’s been the most fun I’ve had playing, rogue was my third character.
Playing a ranged rogue that jumps away and fires off high damage skills was really fun, but his build seemed to center around a melee rogue (also lots of re-balancing since this video).
Yeah I returned for the server slam to try rogue again after seeing comments on this and I enjoyed twisted blades a lot more. Still think I'm going druid for launch!
Rogue is definitely sold short in this review, and that's because it focused on shadow step as a feature skill, which I don't find to be very fun. Shadow step doesn't do enough damage for it to be that rewarding. Playing with flurry, dash, caltrops and an imbuement can dispatch units very quickly. Caltrops (allows you to simultaneously set a trap while leaping back) and Dash both have 2 charges, and this set up gives you tons of mobility. Shadow imbuement is a better feature than corpse explosion because it explodes once you kill an enemy. Pairing it with flurry can set shadow damage on many units at a time and you can dispatch entire groups of enemies with 1 or two strikes. Playing with the rogue you want to be thinking about status effects, how to make units vulnerable, slowed, stunned, knocked down, or chilled and tailoring your gear to that. I've found it extremely rewarding to be moving all over the battle field, evading and doing lots of damage. When you're that mobile it's even fun to swap to poison imbue, and run around doing damage to everything you're always moving and everything dies at the same time. A couple cool legendary features, you can drop stun grenades after you evade, after you dash, or they can be added to caltrops. Poison trap does tons of damage and if you've got your damage reduction passives set up you can tow with enemies while they stand in the poison trap. Additionally poison trap has an additional skill perk where it can knock down enemies who set it off. Taking too much damage? Caltrop out stun & chill your enemies in the poison trap. Your skills all complement each other and they determine how you should be attacking. Sometimes I run with an ultimate ability and sometimes I don't. The ultimates don't take many skill points and free you up to maximize passives or other skills. Death Trap sucks everything into it, which makes it pair really well with poison trap, poison imbue, shadow imbue, and even caltrops. The meta seems to be be twisting blades, but I've found it to be too slow for the style of play I want to do. Concealment isn't that great until you get some legendaries to enhance it, such as allowing you to place down all charges of your poison traps with no cooldown, and laying the poison traps won't break stealth. It allows you to get close to bosses. It pairs really well with penetrating shot and poison imbue. conceal, get close to a boss, lay down traps, get out and penetrating shot w/ an imbue. Or conceal run get your best angle to maximize penetrating shot and watch that arrow skewer numerous enemies while also poisoning them
I know I’m late to this but this comment for sure. Tons of fun to play a rogue like this, this is exactly how I play my rogue alt, probably the most fun class I’ve played when I play it this way so far & I’ve played all the classes, I just haven’t tried a solid amount of legendaries
Agree. Druid/Necro are gonna be my two mains. Level 40 rn on Druid and mostly going bear because I just wanted that from the start and it's been tough sometimes on bosses (but mostly just slow and not impossible) but it's a blast. Nothing beats charging headlong as a giant bear with an overpower stack and just annihilating them lmao.
I enjoyed druid, barb and rogue, my least favorite when the necro and sorc because they are too stupidly easy, we have D3 for this. I would hope that they go the other direction and slow down these two classes as I really enjoy the slower leveling process. JMO. The other issues is that this was only to lvl 25 and there is so much more to be discovered.
I enjoyed Rogue more in this new beta after listening to people saying to build around twisted blades. I still don't think I'd change this ranking though, except maybe moving sorcerer down
I’m from the future. 7/9/2024 and Rapid Fire Frost Rogue is hands down the funnest class I’ve played in the game. With Scoundrel’s Ring 💍 *chef’s kiss* 💋
What are those little numbers on the bottom left corner of the skills at the bottom of the screen? For example at 5:15 on the second to last skill icon on the right
I'm a necro (bone type) and druid (elementalist) since D2. Sometimes I did summon-mancer or summon druid if I play solo. Can't wait to get this game soon!
as i dont see rogue on number 5 for several reasons and i dont want this to be a "hatefull" comment i explained my points and what doesnt add up to me about what you said. so remember it might get spice by its not hatefull i just want to understand his points and make my own. i also dont want to downtalk a class, i am talking about how i feel about classes, if you have fun with something specific just play it and dont let others say its bad or not fun, so sorry for all my "hate" towards "pet" builds. (i am sorry for typos but i didnt want to read through this a 3rd time...) *deep breath in... okay lets do this.* as someone who played rogue on both betas and maxed out one of my 2 rogues i created (max codex rolls on imprinted items and lvl 35 weapons from the elite) i know how it feels to go from lvl 1 to lvl 25 greatness on the rogue. i have played it 2 times. i cant just let you put rogue on number 5 when 2 braindead, no skill, afk (i dont even play the game i paid for) classes exist. and yes i know for necro/sorc there are other builds too but the best are the "pet" builds which are not fun, or at least only if you dont want to play the game by yourself i would argue. you litterally just said 4 things about the rogue which are your "arguments" why its the least fun in your mind. (at least from what i got out of it) *1st* - its not really that much fun (nothing from skills/abilites adds up to something that is that fun) *2dn* - poison imbunement is to slow and not fun / shadow imbunement isnt spectacular because your skills only damage 1-2 enmies and they dont explode all the time *3rd* - shadow step is the one good thing that stands out *4th* - you are never doing something fun when fighting bosses or groups of enemies so lets go through these and explain why everything except point 3 is twisted in my view: *as the comment was too long i commented his arguments any my points against them under this comment.* *Argument 1-4 Placeholder* you say that you dont like the "i dont do anything gameplay" with sorc and place it higher on the list compaired to rogue, but at the same time you put rogue even lower for doing the complete oposite gameplay style??? bruh what have you taken like you change views in seconds and just place the classes as you like with no real good arguments here. i am getting a headache. after that you say barb is nice because its interactive and you need to dodge stuff, but wait you placed rogue on the 5th place because "you are never doing something fun when fighting bosses or groups of enemies", so whats the difference in playstyle between the barb and rogue except you probably feeling like the barb has smother abilites or something which is subjective too???? what is it. its interactive meele combat, for rogues even meele/ranged as you like, you need to dodge stuff and try to hit the boss, the rogue even has more mobility and more survivability by his mobility if you know how to position yourself. bruh it doesnt make sence at all... idk maybe its just a personal list but why making a video with the title "Which Diablo 4 Class is the most fun to play?" and not "most fun classes i played in the diablo 4 beta" or something like that. like ahhhh start thinking. btw what does the blood mist codex change to the "afk playstyle" of necro. you just press 1 button anyways except against bosses. wow a lot of fun 2nd place. last word would be for me rogue is 1st, but i dont say everybody has to see it like that, but putting it at 5th place is just not true sorry. rogue has one of the highest skill caps compared to the other classes because of their mobility and need to position themself, its way more "fun" than placing a hydra or summon skeletons that do everything for you. like i dont want that for 80-100 bucks are you kidding me. to come to an end, i get that fun is dependend on your person but what you did is contradictive because if you would see that aswell why doing the youtube title as it is and if you dont see that fact and think the most fun class/tier list you talked about is for everyone, how are "pet" builds objectivly more fun than actually playing the game. it doesnt make sence, so its a bad video for me sorry but i have to say it for me its just D O G and doesnt provide anything not even a clear view/fact you think you have because nothing is clarified. after all that, how can you place rogue at 5th place, i would love to understand that so please i dont mean it hateful in any way i just cant get my head arround that view. dont make videos if you dont know what you talk about i guess is the consence i guess, if you dont know, but its an assumption of mine too, because you might can explain all this to me. feel free to ask something if you have questions or something isnt completly clear to you. *have a good one.*
*Argument 1-4 Placeholder* *1st* - so i dont know what build you tried out (from the video you tried twisting blades) but idk how you can not see at least some skills working along side to create a build. so twisting blade + dash + shadow step isnt fun for you? oh you said shadow step is but the fact that you can position yourself with dash/shadow step because twisting blade returns to you after a few seconds damaging all enemies between the blade and you, isnt fun for you? i get that that playstyle isnt fun for you (maybe) but its still a fun combo for others i would argue. so dont just say there are no fun skill combinations. flurry/penatrating shot/rapid fire all got "good" builds and skills that compliment the main damage skill. litterally small brain view from you or just not researching/testing enough in my opinion, but why even do this video than? could you explain what the other class skills do different that it was fun for you? i dont understand that tbh. idk lets just move on to the big part. *2nd* - i can understand your point about poision imbunement. it wasnt the most fun for me too, but it had its purpose for me. it was good against the world boss. so its maybe not the most fun, but its a variation and something new after playing shadow all the time. so than lets talk about shadow and either how bad you play with it or dont undertand how your skills work. so i will explain the normal twisting blade combo without legendaries just with twisting blade / one movement skill (dash/shadow step) / and finally shadow imbunement. this is the situation: you are standing befor a group of enemies that run towards you in a straight line. you press shadow imbunement or even better you pressed it 10sec ago because it recharges after 10 sec and you get 2 stacks for free in that way -> you press twisting blades once/twice at the 2 enemies clostest to you -> you dash/shadow step (dash is better because you apply the shadow debuff to all enemies passed through, this im IMPORTANT) to the enemy furthest away from you (here it gets complicated for some...) which additionally would let the returning blade of twisting blade pass through the most enemies possible. thats the game you have to play. so what is happening when you are doing this... good question... you shadow imbunement is if you attacked once with twisted blade imbuned into your twisting blade and your dash/shadowstep (lets say dash here), so everyone you hit with your dash has the shadow debuff and explodes on death. in addition the one enemy hit with your twisting blade also has the debuff now, but wait twisting blade is still returning to you and again every enemy hit by the returning part of twisting blade also gets the shadow debuff... so maybe you knew this and you ask yourself "why is he explaining this like i am baby". because you never talked about this and still said there is no fun skill combination in your 1st point. so after explaining that lets move on the the argument you made here about shadow imbunement "shadow imbunement isnt spectacular because your skills only damage 1-2 enmies and they dont explode all the time". if you play like i explained it above, or just use the flurry build which is aoe or a penatrating shot builds which is also aoe you apply the debuff to a shit ton of mobs. so what to do from there. if you want the explosion damage and you feel like your damage dealer ability isnt enough anyways (because tbh shadow imbunement isnt your main damage its just for clearing trash mobs) you play as the following. you try to stack mobs together and try to kill the mobs with low health first. that will trigger their explosion maybe resulting in another explosion and so on till the big mobs are the only ones standing. also if you didnt read the abilty it even said after 5 sec or something without the enemy affected by the debuff dying, shadow imbunement will do the same damage as the explosion would do just single target to the mob. so what i am trying to say its about how you play with the tools you are given. i dont see you spreding the shadow debuff that much in the video or thinking about what enemy to take down first. i mean your are clearly not doing that much damage (idk if you didnt find any weapon upgrades or something) but i didnt do much damage too in the first beta and i had a blast with rogue and it all made sence to me... so i would say its just the playstyle/view on the class or something but what do i know after playing 2 beta weekings and testing several stuff with this class. at least you should say i just didnt have fun with the one rogue i was playing and not "its 5th place because this, this, this, this" and than all your arguments arent arguments and the few things you say are mainly just wrong. except the next thing which is the short one haha. *3rd* - i agree with you shadow step is one of the best skills, rogue has and with a codex you can even get 2 charges. lets move on this was the easy one. *4th* - so what is fun during a boss for you? standing still and doing nothing? spawning skelletons? just standing besides the boss and facetaking? if nothing of that why did you rank rogue at 5th place? rogue does nothing of the mentioned its more dodgy than barb. remember 2 MOBILITY skills! also the rogue till you get some level is very energy hungry, so you have to play like a rogue and play arround your burst phases. you shadow step in spend your energy dash out. wait a few seconds maybe dash a second time to reposition yourself and repeat. what are other classes doing better/different that is more fun for you? please explain its not in the video...
@@teanymonster5227 hey such a great explanation/argument comment. i'm a newbie here started with druid because i love dogs, and i saw this class has 2 fluffy wolf in class select screen. i'm running slow pace story quest with my sis and i'm at around lv 25. i tried wolf/ cyclone build so far, and they all were soso ok, not bad, not too fun? and so i tried search around about which class is the most fun to play, most reddit ppl said rogue, but then this vid put rogue at the last > i was curious why and so blahblah i found your comment. did you play other classes? as a newbie i was looking for some interesting/ weird/ can do a lot of mix combination skill class...
I feel like the druid is def my main as well as the best class for the fun aspect.. I don't consider being all powerful the best indicator of fun, it's the utility that's the most important to me.. so many cool builds u can play around with.. caster, shifter, poison, earth magic, crazy good defense spells, it's got it all.. I will concede it def is a little frustrating with that spirit meter, but u do get those spirit boons that increase it, as well as points in trees...in terms of power, I wld say a little more dependant on gear than most but I hvnt had any real issues so far.. great vid man ❤
I love playing druid, i wish trample automatically went as far away as possible on consol. Most of the time i swear it goes a 1/4 of the way across the screen when occasionally it goes a screen away.
i started on a arclash sorc, got her to 50 something, got bored of one button spamming, made a rogue, got it to 71, started with TB an went rapidfire, a lot more to think about, but starting to get bored.. trying to find what i should play for season one...
This game is really all about preference you have to try them out for yourself rather then go based off of someone else’s opinion after trying out all the characters i went with rogue as my main i think this guy couldn’t be more wrong about rogue and how fun the abilities are to use compared to the other classes but again it’s all about preference i normally find myself building rogue type characters across different games so it felt the most what i like and i know some people like using sorcery type characters in games they play so they might enjoy that style in this game more
I was completely onboard when you said stuff like "its not fun when you steam roll through, dont have to do anything, you just press buttons without thinking". Then necro came and you mention the legendary for the blood mist stuff. You walk over corpses and that clears the room, how is that engaging though? How is that not steamrolling? Honestly wondering. It seems everyone wants to steamroll in this game. More damage, more damage buffs, nothing should be nerfed. If I hear nerfs for sorc I am damn glad. Shouldnt there be any challenge then? Everyone wants to be OP? Fuck OP, I want challenge, what am I playing games for otherwise. Anyways, "good" fcking sucks if it means steamrollin through pressing buttons only looking at pretty animations and hoping for better loot. Might aswel play a slotmachine if thats the case.
Hhhmm obviously we have different definitions of fun... that blood mist build will probably be nerfed in some way and I don't think it is much fun either way. All you do is activate it and then move about... whats engaging and fun about that? For release I planned out a Necro build specially not relaying on it to get more engaging gameplay out of it the class
Yeah it's crazy, and if anything it's a little more boring. I'm lvl 62 with it at the moment and kind of fed up of just smacking the ground over and over. Want to get the uniques to switch to storm wolf
I liked sorc the most. The spells animations are absolutely amazing and you feel very power full and in control. Liked necro the least - it really felt like I could just faceroll the keyboard and still clear everything.
@@GeekyPastimes Its not only about the spells. The ragdoll physics of enemy bodies is amazing. That's what makes you feel so powerfull - enemy-bodies tumbling down a hill after you killed them. Explosions throwing bodies away from them, etc. That's what ruins Path of Exile for me - it's all just SO BORING. enemies have like a single death animation and basically just "drop dead" :(
Things change a lot as you level higher, obtain legendaries, and also encounter new content. That said, this video is spot on for it's time, which was during a level 25 beta cap. It also covers the major fundamentals of each class which really don't change in time.
It is so subjective but for me Necromancer and Rogue were the most fun. Sorcerer is in the middle. Barbarian was ok and I'll probably give it another chance and Druid was awful and clunky and I may never play again.
The druid being almost objectively the worst is kind of what makes me want to play it, I think the beta just didn't have high enough difficulty levels so it was more fun as the druid (to me) trying to work out how to get past stuff. I hear they've buffed it for this weekend though!
Dude, try rogue melee build twisting blades. Not a good idea to judge the fun based on legendary items. that's not relevant, we haven't seen half of them yet.
I think it's relevant. Legendaries are a big deal for classes and all of this is just based on how much fun I had levelling through the beta. Legendaries were a part of that
Corps Explosion is fun at first but is boring because it’s too OP vs dungeons. But, it’s pathetic vs Elite Bosses and the World Boss. So you have to respec for big fights. I hope they balance the classes and you will see the Necro drop down.
Got all 5 classes to 25 and Rogue was my absolute favorite. The mobility in combat feels great and several skills reward smart positioning & movement within combat in fun ways. Necro was my least favorite, not much variety in playstyle and very few utility skills to play around with (feel like we're missing several curses and such). The other 3 were all "good" and I'll enjoy making alts for them in their current state/feel.
Same. Went in thinking I was gonna main barb on launch but didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Than I thought maybe necro or sorc but they were so easy to lvl during the beta that it was boring. I eventually realized it would have to be rogue since I kept coming back to it after I'd leveled all five to 25. Even on rogue, I started out thinking I was gonna go for a fully ranged build to then mess around with melee and completely change my mind. There's just something special about zipping around the battlefield while stabbing everything to death at supersonic speed.
Barbarian. Love it when the boss ignores me and go after my necro friend as I keep smashing the boss. Also each hit feel so real as my screen shakes on steam deck. Definitely recommend for first time round as a way to learn about all the enimies pattern
Honestly that’s why I liked the Barb and Druid because they were both able to work through the content but not like a mower. I had to think through skills and what I was doing. I loved that I sided on bosses and had to keep fighting them again. First time I’ve ever had to do that and I’m a veteran from D1.
i played all the classes too and my list is different. 1. rogue 2. druid 3. sorc 4. necro 5. barb Note: I mostly found sorc and necro to be boring ONLY because they are OP and made the game boring, so that could change at end game. and Barb, well i've never liked barb in any diablo game
It's awesome that people have different takes on it. I've seen comments on this saying every single class is someone's favourite. That's so good for the game. If everyone wants to play something different
Absolutely loved sorc.. Every time friends saw me I'd hear "Unlimited Power!" They weren't wrong lol. The Rogue was the last class i tried. I knew melee was king, tried something different. Forceful arrow- Rapid fire- Caltrops- Dash- Poison trap (didn't get to play long). I found this set up soo engaging, figuring out how to set up the battlefield. I made others rethink their Rogue it was that fun.
Yeah I think Rogue suffered for me because I played it first, just went back to capture a bit of footage, but it just felt like a weird mix of being too easy to be engaging like the druid/barbarian, but not powerful enough to be crazy like the sorc/necro
@@GeekyPastimes oh i couldn't agree more. My nephew was slitting left & right as melee rogue. Adding that sort of "risk" dashing into places i had no right being in, planting a bomb and caltrop outter there *MADE* the Rogue engaging for me. Going full on guerrilla tactics really brought out the class and separated itself from the rest.
@@Chezzraa I did something similar initially. I would shadowstep onto an elite, drop a poison trap, caltrops out and fire a penetrating arrow. Once I discovered how ridiculous the dark imbuement was though, I just paired that with penetrating shot and would watch as entire groups blew up.
@@Kozak006 Nice.. I didn't get to the imbuement branch, but yeah the dark/shadow (can't remember) imbue looked legit! I went with Forceful Arrow which gave me even more control, pushing enemies away n into one another, into others spells/aoe, into traps or next to barrels.. Was really entertaining.
Druid super fun to play! I think its alot stronger than you give credit... a fortified werebear wrecks bosses (a little slow) the lightning storm os also so satisfying
if you really liked blood mist that much, why didnt you just use the skill you dont need a legendary from, corpse explosion. Does the same thing except you dont have to be close to the corpse
I haft to say after over 50 hours with the sorceress. Early game it is fun but by the time you start end game stuff it is such a slog and after 57 levels i felt done.
Different countries pronounce it differently. In England we pronounce it the way I do, and the way the Greeks did. In America you pronounce it another way for some reason, and that's fine, because we all understand each other
There's a legendary aspect that lets you place four poison traps without a cooldown that explode when you exit stealth. It completely transforms how you use Concealment. I used it all the time as an offensive PvE skill. Concealment > place four traps underneath clueless mobs > break stealth with AoE attack and watch as poison melts everything. You can even stack them on top of one another to assassinate elites. Pop Shadow Clone before Concealment and now you can place eight traps. Also, when upgraded, Concealment guarantees either a crit or 3 sec of vulnerability on any target you hit with the skill that breaks stealth. This can be quite useful on the right build. I was using Flurry as my core, buffed by an aspect that made it a 360-degree attack, so I was making all mobs around me vulnerable every time I broke stealth, which made them take even more damage from my poison traps. I was very skeptical about stealth at first but it does have a place in PvE, especially with some synergistic legendaries. In PvP, it will probably be useful even without any special legendaries, just so you can get the drop on someone and guarantee a crit/vulneerability.
1. Druid 2. Barbarian 3. Rogue 4. Necro 5. Sorceress Sorceress was the most boring class for me. With the Hydra build for example, you put down your hydra and everything dies! That is fun for the first 10 levels, but it got bored very quickly! The Druid and Barb was the most fun, because it was more challenging!
Then don't make a hydra build? You have full control not to do it. That can be said for every class, that there's a certain build that is boring. Sorc has lots of viable builds that don't require unique items and don't depend on hydra, why not mention those?
Went Druid only in beta and saved barbarian for launch/ fresh feel and always know barb is straightforward. Going whirlwind wolf theme barbarian with furs and stuff. Druid was fun and werewolf but whirlwind barbarian will always be the true berserkers for me :).
Yeah, it's properly insane at times what you can do. Also very funny when you and another Necro instinctively attack each others skeletons because they look like enemies
I'm at least 98% that your most powerful rating is reversed. Necro is for sure the least powerful at end game by a LOT, Rouge and sorc are good but die so easy unless you are a pro. At end game the most powerful is Barb and Druid is a VERY close 2nd. EDIT........ , This video is 2 months old. I'm sure you know my post by now so, yea, my bad.
I will say levelling to 25 is a drop in the pond. That being said, after trying a few dofferent classes i find the Rogue the most fun. So much mobility. But the Necro is right there with it. Such a blast
Dude I don't get the Sorceress/Necro boring because it's too easy, then you like necro skill as it "gets stuff done really easy / lets you fly through all content"? Is that what people want? D3 was BORING as hell for me - Far, far, FAR too easy. With great power should come great risk. Sorceress/Necro should be very squishy, as should Rogue in direct Melee.
I dont find any character fun to play. With druid you dont have any abilites that deal good dmg. Rogue I just can't watch the recoil animation of the crowsbow like you shoot a gun or someting - you are always on the run. Barb you get like 4 weapons and fight with all of them, you have to walk to every single enemy and once you there you dont do any damage and that with a guy that looks like he can smash a building with one hit. And necro and wiz - as you said its easy - but at least everyhing dies fast - so you dont waste too much time.
Remember we're only seeing up to level 25 (or 20 in the new one) we are missing most of the power, legendary and unique items, etc. For some classes like druid we don't even have their main perk enabled where they take on animal aspects
It's so silly. I really like abilities that are this ridiculous. You can become a floating ball of blood that constantly explodes everything around you, what's not to love?
I had the most fun being druid bc I'd go around to all the shinies smackin' 'em around 😂 The bf certainly enjoyed watching me smack stuff when we played beta together - gave us the giggles.
i stopped listening as soon as he gave the list of the best to worst characters to play listing necro as number 1 and barbarian 2nd to last hahahaha this guy has very little experience if thats his ranking
@@chrisheraldo3943 its hardly dependend on what you have seen/played yourself i would say. because from my view it is a squishier barb but with a completly different playstyle and with the mobility of rogue you have tools to play arround your strengths and counteract your weaknesses. but in my opinion rogue wont have a pronlem with that "weakness" later on because you will have a high dodge chance (not everyone will have this) + a barier probably + dark shours which is like 60-80% damage reduction with a codex. have a good one.
Just didn't have a lot of fun with it. Maybe it's just not flashy enough for me and I'm being shallow. Maybe it'll win me over with more legendaries in the full game
@@GeekyPastimes There are legendaries that can really transform how some classes play. I wasn't having much fun with my earth druid until I got a couple of really good aspects that tied my build together. After that, it became my second favorite for fun factor and perhaps my strongest single target damage character. I was one-shotting most elites at 25 with landslide and it was great. On my rogue, I was already having lots of fun with a ranged build (try barrage with shadow imbuement for a more explody experience) but getting a couple of good aspects that incentivized stealth, trap use and melee made me change my build and I actually ended up enjoying my melee trap assassin the most out of all classes and builds. This was after leveling all classes to 25 and trying a couple of different builds on most. All I'm saying is, give the rogue a second chance at some point after launch. It has many diverse build options that can be made to work by lvl 25. You might end up discovering one you enjoy, especially if you get a juicy drop to help it along.
I can't stand the character model for the Druid. Why do they have to be big fat guys? That's why I'm not playing a Druid. I'm not a big fat guy, so it doesn't appeal to me. If I don't like the way the character looks, I'm not interested in playing it.
I'd say they are all pretty equally disappointing. My most powerful character (and therefore the most fun) is the necro. However, running Nightmare dungeons over and over is pretty fucking dull. Overall, D4 is disappointing to me. After an hour or so, I'm ready to log out and do something else... anything else.
I feel the same (but I'm the full game I only have a druid), will give something else a go in season 1 but I can't be bothered to get my druid out of the 70s
I don’t think I’ve ever disagreed with a UA-camr more than I do with this video lol. You should really level all classes to end game before making a video like this, not just to 25. Everything you’re saying about the classes is a take from someone who only knows a portion of the classes abilities
That's the right way to say it in England (where I live) and most of the world (including Greece, where it's from). The other way to say it is just an American thing.
@@GeekyPastimes As an Australian I usually side with you guys on pronounciation but just like "lEfTeNaNt" I'm gonna have to go with the other guys on this one.
Dude this video is way better than which class is best, it's a game and it's all about fun, great call!
Couldn't agree more!
Yea, I find it so weird people who play for "what's best" like it's job or something
Agree with this list. Druid is super fun, wolf, bear, pets, caster, melee, support, etc for me is my first choice day 1
In regards to the shadow element for rogue. 👀
Also you damage all enemies that your blasted got when there returning to you
It’s awesome :)
Also poison traps are fucking great
Playing Necro was so effortless never died once on veteran with it doing about 95% of the content in the beta including Butcher and world bosses. But most fun I'd say either Rogue or Sorc they have the best mobility skills and have multiple different builds that are viable without being too dependent on legendries.
I played Necro and got smoked every time that Butcher guy showed up.
We all have our favorites 😍 for me its Necro. Haven't played a Barbarian except for a little bit on D2.
I still think d2 is the best across the board. I find sorc and necro thus far suck vs d2 versions. Frozen orb is so freaking small and lame.
Yeah I think that was the best thing, every time I got a legendary I could completely remake my class into a different playstyle
Or conceal run get your best angle to maximize penetrating shot and watch that arrow skewer numerous enemies while also poisoning them
Yeah I made this video in the beta when I could only get every class up to 25, definitely more options now!
Druid gets crazy powerful at about 60, I'm 72 now and it feels almost too easy
@@GeekyPastimes good to know! I hit 50 and already feeling my power scale a bit up. :)
I played them all and Barbarian was the most fun for me. I'd go Barb, Sorc, Necro, Rogue, and then Druid for fun.
how is rogue 5th place in the video? can someone explain this
Barbarian is absolutely awesome, I really loved leaping into fights
THANKS FOR THIS SUBJECT, for me this is more usefull than power rank. And I play Druid :)
Us druids need to stick together
How did your rogue weapons have a white glow? Very curious, it looks so cool.
It's an item from a unique event in fractured peaks, I just used the transmog on both weapons
Rogue was very fun. The knife skills and maining it as weapon were very fun and new for me.
I need to give this game another go sometime
I was looking forward to using black hole and disintegrate again, only to learn that the main magic class got completely kneecapped lol
It's so much fun!
Thanks for the video, people have forgotten lately that games were meant to be fun
Yeah! The video I’ve been looking for. Thank you
as i dont see rogue on number 5 for several reasons and i dont want this to be a "hatefull" comment i explained my points and what doesnt add up to me about what you said. so remember it might get spice by its not hatefull i just want to understand his points and make my own. i also dont want to downtalk a class, i am talking about how i feel about classes, if you have fun with something specific just play it and dont let others say its bad or not fun, so sorry for all my "hate" towards "pet" builds. (i am sorry for typos but i didnt want to read through this a 3rd time...)
*deep breath in... okay lets do this.*
as someone who played rogue on both betas and maxed out one of my 2 rogues i created (max codex rolls on imprinted items and lvl 35 weapons from the elite) i know how it feels to go from lvl 1 to lvl 25 greatness on the rogue. i have played it 2 times.
i cant just let you put rogue on number 5 when 2 braindead, no skill, afk (i dont even play the game i paid for) classes exist. and yes i know for necro/sorc there are other builds too but the best are the "pet" builds which are not fun, or at least only if you dont want to play the game by yourself i would argue.
you litterally just said 4 things about the rogue which are your "arguments" why its the least fun in your mind. (at least from what i got out of it)
*1st* - its not really that much fun (nothing from skills/abilites adds up to something that is that fun)
*2dn* - poison imbunement is to slow and not fun / shadow imbunement isnt spectacular because your skills only damage 1-2 enmies and they dont explode all the time
*3rd* - shadow step is the one good thing that stands out
*4th* - you are never doing something fun when fighting bosses or groups of enemies
so lets go through these and explain why everything except point 3 is twisted in my view:
*as the comment was too long i commented his arguments any my points against them under this comment.*
*Argument 1-4 Placeholder*
you say that you dont like the "i dont do anything gameplay" with sorc and place it higher on the list compaired to rogue, but at the same time you put rogue even lower for doing the complete oposite gameplay style??? bruh what have you taken like you change views in seconds and just place the classes as you like with no real good arguments here. i am getting a headache. after that you say barb is nice because its interactive and you need to dodge stuff, but wait you placed rogue on the 5th place because "you are never doing something fun when fighting bosses or groups of enemies", so whats the difference in playstyle between the barb and rogue except you probably feeling like the barb has smother abilites or something which is subjective too???? what is it. its interactive meele combat, for rogues even meele/ranged as you like, you need to dodge stuff and try to hit the boss, the rogue even has more mobility and more survivability by his mobility if you know how to position yourself. bruh it doesnt make sence at all... idk maybe its just a personal list but why making a video with the title "Which Diablo 4 Class is the most fun to play?" and not "most fun classes i played in the diablo 4 beta" or something like that. like ahhhh start thinking.
btw what does the blood mist codex change to the "afk playstyle" of necro. you just press 1 button anyways except against bosses. wow a lot of fun 2nd place.
last word would be for me rogue is 1st, but i dont say everybody has to see it like that, but putting it at 5th place is just not true sorry. rogue has one of the highest skill caps compared to the other classes because of their mobility and need to position themself, its way more "fun" than placing a hydra or summon skeletons that do everything for you. like i dont want that for 80-100 bucks are you kidding me.
to come to an end, i get that fun is dependend on your person but what you did is contradictive because if you would see that aswell why doing the youtube title as it is and if you dont see that fact and think the most fun class/tier list you talked about is for everyone, how are "pet" builds objectivly more fun than actually playing the game. it doesnt make sence, so its a bad video for me sorry but i have to say it for me its just D O G and doesnt provide anything not even a clear view/fact you think you have because nothing is clarified.
after all that, how can you place rogue at 5th place, i would love to understand that so please i dont mean it hateful in any way i just cant get my head arround that view.
dont make videos if you dont know what you talk about i guess is the consence i guess, if you dont know, but its an assumption of mine too, because you might can explain all this to me.
feel free to ask something if you have questions or something isnt completly clear to you.
*have a good one.*
*Argument 1-4 Placeholder*
*1st* - so i dont know what build you tried out (from the video you tried twisting blades) but idk how you can not see at least some skills working along side to create a build. so twisting blade + dash + shadow step isnt fun for you? oh you said shadow step is but the fact that you can position yourself with dash/shadow step because twisting blade returns to you after a few seconds damaging all enemies between the blade and you, isnt fun for you? i get that that playstyle isnt fun for you (maybe) but its still a fun combo for others i would argue. so dont just say there are no fun skill combinations. flurry/penatrating shot/rapid fire all got "good" builds and skills that compliment the main damage skill. litterally small brain view from you or just not researching/testing enough in my opinion, but why even do this video than? could you explain what the other class skills do different that it was fun for you? i dont understand that tbh. idk lets just move on to the big part.
The Paladin will be the most fun for me, when Blizz patches the class in..
I really hope they do in an expansion, or at least something like it
Can you please tell me what rogue build was that? It looks fun
Sadly this was from the beta ages before the game came out, a lot has changed since then!
I think I'm going to go Barbarian
Definitely loved Necro with the small bit I played - it was a lot of fun
My brother a Rogue: (shoots the sh*t outta everything)
Me: HAY BOO BOO! 🧸
This game is really all about preference you have to try them out for yourself rather then go based off of someone else’s opinion after trying out all the characters i went with rogue as my main i think this guy couldn’t be more wrong about rogue and how fun the abilities are to use compared to the other classes but again it’s all about preference i normally find myself building rogue type characters across different games so it felt the most what i like and i know some people like using sorcery type characters in games they play so they might enjoy that style in this game more
Can't decide between druid and rogue ;o
It's just because the concept of being a ball of blood mist constantly exploding corpses is kind of funny
I play necromancer because i like how the character female looks , and is powerful the blood spec.
Yeah didnt understand that part about blood mist aswel, the fun of it. Agreed with rest of video though hence why that particular thing stood out
I found Necro super boring until I got rid of my summons. THEN you actually have to build a viable Necro... super fun.
Now the Druid is one has some of the best builds out there
Yeah it's crazy, and if anything it's a little more boring.
Yeah the sorc animations are awesome, something that's missing from a lot of games like this. The fire dragon looks amazing especially
@@GeekyPastimes Its not only about the spells. The ragdoll physics of enemy bodies is amazing. That's what makes you feel so powerfull - enemy-bodies tumbling down a hill after you killed them. Explosions throwing bodies away from them, etc.
That's what ruins Path of Exile for me - it's all just SO BORING. enemies have like a single death animation and basically just "drop dead" :(
It'll be interesting to see what these characters can do at level 100 in the full release.
Things change a lot as you level higher, obtain legendaries, and also encounter new content. That said, this video is spot on for it's time, which was during a level 25 beta cap. It also covers the major fundamentals of each class which really don't change in time.
Rogue is best
Damn I had hopes for the Barbarian. That class was 🔥 in the last game
Lightning druid will be great with 100 skill points and whatever spirit boons end up doing.
You don't get 100 skill points
How many do you end up getting?
@@treebeard840 i believe it's 63.
@Claus Larsen Awesome. Unless there's more skills we haven't seen that sounds like enough to go wild on any build.
What's your necro build please
This was way back in the beta so things have changed a lot since then, sorry!
I actually love damage over time. been playing an archer-trap-poison rogue and its been a blast. at level 40 now
Definitely want to try a Rogue now in the full release, might be my next one after Druid - still only at 60 for Druid
Legendaries were a part of that
@@GeekyPastimes how is relevant when you don't know all the content yet ?
Corps Explosion is fun at first but is boring because it’s too OP vs dungeons. But, it’s pathetic vs Elite Bosses and the World Boss. So you have to respec for big fights. I hope they balance the classes and you will see the Necro drop down.
Got all 5 classes to 25 and Rogue was my absolute favorite. The mobility in combat feels great and several skills reward smart positioning & movement within combat in fun ways. Necro was my least favorite, not much variety in playstyle and very few utility skills to play around with (feel like we're missing several curses and such). The other 3 were all "good" and I'll enjoy making alts for them in their current state/feel.
this is the thing, i dont get how its 5th place on any fun list when there are 2 pet classes currently
Yeah I had a good time with every one of them, this game rules
Bear is life
i play full bear druid and is difficult but its very fun to play
I'm starting to think it's fun because it's difficult
Honestly that’s why I liked the Barb and Druid because they were both able to work through the content but not like a mower. I had to think through skills and what I was doing. I loved that I sided on bosses and had to keep fighting them again. First time I’ve ever had to do that and I’m a veteran from D1.
Not sure if being stuck at a boss
and needing to grind levels or legendary
while other classes progresses with no problem = fun
I guess, but in the beta at least I didn't get stuck on any bosses as any class, even on the hardest difficulty available
Nothing like bleeding a boss and then hitting them with the execution and they split in half
i played all the classes too and my list is different.
1. rogue
2. druid
3. sorc
4. necro
5. barb
Note: I mostly found sorc and necro to be boring ONLY because they are OP and made the game boring, so that could change at end game. and Barb, well i've never liked barb in any diablo game
better list than the video offers tbh
It's awesome that people have different takes on it. I've seen comments on this saying every single class is someone's favourite. That's so good for the game. If everyone wants to play something different
Same here. Rogue like the assassin in D2. Shadow and blades for me. Not boring because of combos and many builds you can try.
Witch Doctor was an amazing class
Lvl 22 warebear build. So fun to just go berserk. I am trying to build a spirit pulvizer tank build
Barbarian. I'm going to play barbarian and druid.
Barbarian is great, I think they'll have some amazing legendaries. Just need to work out how to kill bosses
@@GeekyPastimes farming trash and chests in the first dungeon for better gear and legendaries could be a solution to the weak barbarian problem.
Druid super fun to play! I think its alot stronger than you give credit... a fortified werebear wrecks bosses (a little slow) the lightning storm os also so satisfying
I agree. But I made this during the beta before the game came out so a lot has changed
if you really liked blood mist that much, why didnt you just use the skill you dont need a legendary from, corpse explosion. Does the same thing except you dont have to be close to the corpse
There's something more exciting about flying around as a ball of blood causing everything to explode
Sorc was my most fun to play .
It is very flashy
I haft to say after over 50 hours with the sorceress. Early game it is fun but by the time you start end game stuff it is such a slog and after 57 levels i felt done.
So a rogue can only explode 1 enemy at a time with shadow imbuiment... Not a very accurate statement to say the least
you are the best for a reason
Its béta you back-water regurgitation from across the swamp! 😂
Different countries pronounce it differently. In England we pronounce it the way I do, and the way the Greeks did. In America you pronounce it another way for some reason, and that's fine, because we all understand each other
Invisibility on rogue might be good in pvp
shadow step can stun you for 2 sec this will be good too.
1. Druid
2. Barbarian
3. Rogue
4. Necro
5. Sorceress
Sorceress was the most boring class for me.
I loved Rogue. Shadow imbue+flurry=everything exploding. Not to mention twisting blades erases elites and dungeon bosses.
It's definitely a strong class, I just didn't get on with it like I did the others. Glad everyone is enjoying different classes though!
Went Druid only in beta and saved barbarian for launch/ fresh feel and always know barb is straightforward. Going whirlwind wolf theme barbarian with furs and stuff. Druid was fun and werewolf but whirlwind barbarian will always be the true berserkers for me :).
For me its the Necro. So much fun!
Yeah, it's properly insane at times what you can do. Also very funny when you and another Necro instinctively attack each others skeletons because they look like enemies
@@GeekyPastimes I did that multiple times.
Tbh, how is the Necromancer more fun than Sorcerer... it blows up everything on the screen with one button... and has worse build diversity...
Rogue was a massive disappointment for me personally. Just didn't enjoy the rotation and basic skills. It honestly just felt clunky to maximize damage
Hehe no worries, things are so reversed from the beta when I made this!
Necromancer is a Borefest.
I will say levelling to 25 is a drop in the pond. That being said, after trying a few dofferent classes i find the Rogue the most fun. So much mobility. But the Necro is right there with it. Such a blast
Oh yeah, this was made in the beta when 25 was the max level
Dude I don't get the Sorceress/Necro boring because it's too easy, then you like necro skill as it "gets stuff done really easy / lets you fly through all content"? Is that what people want?
D3 was BORING as hell for me - Far, far, FAR too easy.
With great power should come great risk. Sorceress/Necro should be very squishy, as should Rogue in direct Melee.
Same😁I looked this up because rouge wasn’t as fun as when I played hunter in 3.
Rogue is #5 ? 😳… No accounting for taste, as the old saw goes 😉. Rogue is amazing fun
Barbarian whirlwind is the most boring build...
So bloodmist is fun to you. Interesting
It won't be a thing at release. Blizz always nerfs builds that makes you immortal.
It's so silly. I really like abilities that are this ridiculous. You can become a floating ball of blood that constantly explodes everything around you, what's not to love?
@@GeekyPastimes being immortal while killing shit gets stale pretty quick. Unbalanced shit like this won't be allowed in game with multiplayer.
Ty Geeky
Enemies shouldnt always hit the minions
Only levels to 25 and says the literal slowest starting class is the most fun…
I had the most fun being druid bc I'd go around to all the shinies smackin' 'em around 😂 The bf certainly enjoyed watching me smack stuff when we played beta together - gave us the giggles.
Squishy sorceress is most fun.
I found rogue more entertaining than Druid ☠️
Yeah in the full release the rogue is much better than the first beta I think. Looking forward to trying one
this video needs a update now we are out of beta ;)
It does, but I've only played Druid so far! Once I get to level 100 I'll start another
i stopped listening as soon as he gave the list of the best to worst characters to play listing necro as number 1 and barbarian 2nd to last hahahaha this guy has very little experience if thats his ranking
I mean I did make this video during the second beta weekend (the first time we got to play it publicly, and could only get each character up to 25)
Rogue is literally the funnest class. If you're not having fun or the most fun with the rogue, you're not playing it right....
That was my thought. My rogue is a cuisinart that melts everything b4 I even take damage.
Melee roguedoes look boring to play. Good thing I specced my rogue like the demon slayer from 3
how does it look boring?
Yeah I'd like to have more crazy options for abilities like the Demon Hunter. Maybe with legendaries!
@@teanymonster5227 melee rogue is basically a squishy barbarian with how ineffective their offense is but thats just me
@@chrisheraldo3943 its hardly dependend on what you have seen/played yourself i would say. because from my view it is a squishier barb but with a completly different playstyle and with the mobility of rogue you have tools to play arround your strengths and counteract your weaknesses.
but in my opinion rogue wont have a pronlem with that "weakness" later on because you will have a high dodge chance (not everyone will have this) + a barier probably + dark shours which is like 60-80% damage reduction with a codex.
have a good one.
You're literally high. Easily the fastest class with the most to do and boasts great damage.
You might end up discovering one you enjoy, especially if you get a juicy drop to help it along.
rogue can solo world boss easy
and barbarian can do like 200-300k burst damage
@@raganrlol which will be patched lol as no other class can do that at lvl 25. its not intended to
1-2min haha those were insane weekends xD
Bro...I can't take your opinions seriously once you said the Sorcerer is stronger then every other class😂😂😂
This was recorded during the first beta where we had access to all classes. The sorcerer was bananas in that beta!
I can't stand the character model for the Druid. Why do they have to be big fat guys? That's why I'm not playing a Druid. I'm not a big fat guy, so it doesn't appeal to me. If I don't like the way the character looks, I'm not interested in playing it.
Necro is least fun and druid is the funnest.
Necromancer most op class💀
This video was from the beta...
I don’t think I’ve ever disagreed with a UA-camr more than I do with this video lol. You should really level all classes to end game before making a video like this, not just to 25. Everything you’re saying about the classes is a take from someone who only knows a portion of the classes abilities
Also this video was made in the beta for the game where 25 was the max level
Pls stop saying "beeta" it's killing me inside
That's the right way to say it in England (where I live) and most of the world (including Greece, where it's from). The other way to say it is just an American thing.
@@GeekyPastimes As an Australian I usually side with you guys on pronounciation but just like "lEfTeNaNt" I'm gonna have to go with the other guys on this one.
@@ansemvanverte you go with whatever you want, it's just the way it is
dont listen to this guy, all this is old news. Look at upload dates.
