@janetross8601, a few years ago while doing research on my mother's paternal family, I learned I/we are of Scotish highlands descent!!! I was blown away, and teary-eyed!! Many soldiers from the Isle of Skye served in Highland Regiments in the Napoleonic Wars, and WW1 and WW2, and , still serve. We have pride in the Clans, Septs and Regiments of the Highlands, and Lowlands.

Truly there's something about the pipes and drums that simply rouses the blood whenever they're played!! IMHO there's nothing more magnificent than highlanders standing in defiance, and in defence, of their ground!!.........well, maybe with the exception of the Gurkhas!! (And my genuine respects to both!!) 👍

Truly a wonderful sight and as i listened to this i remembered my lovelly parent's and how much they would of loved and appreciated this .🏴🏴💕
Spectacular sight. Is it any wonder this sound led us into battle? A Scot's heart is filled with passion as he goes to meet his foe, his fears allayed by this magical sound. I Know & did it.
Yes, do it, it's fab and touching. Plus, when the performance has ended, all the performers go down Castle Hill at about 10.30 and you can see them again, from very close and playing music. I was there every evening of my stay in Edinburgh. I queued early to have the best view. It made the tatoo last longer for me

Scotsmen do not wear skirts. They are men and wear their traditional kilts, as many renowned fighters do across the World do and did -the Evzones, the Scythians, the Gauls and many, many more, generally predominantly Celtic. The Celts held the Romans back, so enjoy your little joke, but most people revere the fighting strength and prowess of the Scottish Regiments-kilts and all. It would be interesting to know where you hail from when you are putting that out.
What country are you from. They are NOT skirts they are KILTS and if you ever see a SCOTTISH REGIMENT March to fight the enemy DONT get in the way 🏴🇬🇧
Excellent. Thanks so much for posting this. There’s nothing like bagpipes to stir the heart. On my first trip to Scotland, my mother’s homeland, I sat in the gardens below Edinburgh Castle at dusk and wept as I listened to a lone piper playing up in the castle grounds. That was many years ago and it’s still one of my top favourite memories.

I just love the Scottish, I’ve never been to Scotland but my late dad used to go every time Wales & Scotland played rugby. I love the Scottish anthem never fails to make me cry🏴
I'm Welsh too, I was in Vancouver Canada, ten years ago, I asked this lone piper, to play "Scotland the Brave" It brought a lump to my throat. Together, with "Flower of Scotland" powerful anthems, both of them.
