'Piper, pipe that song again;' So I piped: he wept to hear. 'Drop thy pipe, thy happy pipe; Sing thy songs of happy cheer!' So I sang the same again, While he wept with joy to hear. 'Piper, sit thee down and write In a book, that all may read.' Beautiful. Love pipes and drums. No one in the world can do this like us Brits. Funeral fit for a Queen
It still makes me cry when I watch this. We will never see her like again! 👑😪
No matter how many times I watch the footage of HM QUEEN ELIZABETH11 funeral I can't help but shed tears. She was an extraordinary person. RIP your majesty. Deep respect from South Africa 🇿🇦
She was.
I miss the late Queen.
Thank you
Im from America but I have Irish and Scottish roots. I’m watching this again two years later and it still brings me to tears!! That funeral bell really made me cry!! RIP Queen Elizabeth 😢
The "Mist covered mountains" is a beautiful Pipe tune. I'm always reminded of the poem by William Blake when I hear it.
Piping down the valleys wild,
Piping songs of peasant glee,
On a cloud I saw a child,
And he, laughing, said to me:
'Pipe a song about a lamb!'
So I piped with merry cheer.
'Piper, pipe that song again;'
So I piped: he wept to hear.
'Drop thy pipe, thy happy pipe;
Sing thy songs of happy cheer!'
So I sang the same again,
While he wept with joy to hear.
'Piper, sit thee down and write
In a book, that all may read.'
So he vanished from my sight;
And I plucked a hollow reed,
And I made a rural pen,
And I stain'd the water clear,
And I wrote my happy songs
Every child may joy to hear.

Fullest respect from germany! 😓😞✊🏻🇩🇪🕊
So moving, and so sad. I've always stood up whenever the national anthem was played on tv. Now the knees are getting older so I sat for most of the tv programmes following the death of our lovely late Queen, I stood when appropriate, and I wore all black in honour of this wonderful woman, and echoed her jewellery by wearing my (faux) pearl necklace. Living through the the whole reign of Queen Elizabeth II was an amazing time - I'll never forget it.
Proudly scottish fiercely british 🏴🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧
I thought Scots despised everything British
proudly English fiercely British. Onwards and upwards Scotland now she's gone
@M Ekaputra Only SNP cultists do, the rest of us don't.
@@rumeunner3245 I'm no 'SNP cultist' as you put it, the English do what they want without any thought of others.
Also proudly English but even more fiercely and unapologetically British.
As an American with no English descent… wow. What a send off for HM Queen Elizabeth II. Bagpipes, drums, and synchronization in the whole ceremony. I came back here to watch this because frankly, I can’t imagine being so incredibly important to garner such a truly impressive display of respect that really can’t even be replicated anywhere in the world.
She was REALLY important. To millions of people.
Never explain never complain she was the real deal 🎉❤
The forces, especially the Scots did us proud ,bless them ,everyone xxx
Our beloved Queen was a one off never to be seen in this lifetime again through good times and our saddest moments she was always there for us somehow we all thought she would always be here for us but it was her time. Thank you for your service. Godspeed. 🇬🇧
The black gentleman to the right of her carriage was her equery. On New Years eve he was on duty, she beckoned him to follow her from the room, took him to her office, sat him down with the phone, telling him "telephone ur family, take as long as you need"❤
and after that they got in to bed with each other to brush hair and tell story's
How do you know that
@@Ronam0451There is a documentary with stories of people who lived with her and knew her .
Unusually kind to treat a slave that way.
I'm so proud to be British. This is showing the Nations love and respect of Her Majesty to our highest ability. Our armed forces are just second to none. I shed tears every time I see this.
What more can be said about a person who dedicated her whole life to her country.
I feel so honoured to have met Her , such a loss
Silly me replaying this years after her passing ! Still the tears come uninvited !
No. Not silly at all. You're one amongst many of us, friend.
Proud to be a brit Scottish blood brought to England by ww1 my family and we are still there

Nearly a year has gone and people across the world are still respecting the acknowledgement of what our late queen did in her time on the throne 😢
A very literal comment
@williamdryden3286she did exactly what the OP said. That and nothing more - just some old woman that died having been that thing they said. I'm not having the respecting thing though
Thank you you’re majesty for being my queen for all of my life. Rest in perfect peace love and respect from south London 😢
70 years on the throne. The world’s greatest Ambassador. She loved this country, it’s people and the people of the Commonwealth - she deserved a magnificent send-off and she got it. RIP Your Majesty. 👑
Very proud that she chose to die among us in Scotland. The playing of this lament by the pipers shows great honour to the Queen.
Loved the world over (American hear)
I am American, my mother was English, all by adoption. It took the death of her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth for me to realize something very important. She was my Queen too. God save the King.
Huh??
Fuck the king. Nothing will ever come close to her ever again. We were privilaged to be here for her reign.
She was everyones queen. So very glad you felt a connection
😂
Same. USA. 🇺🇸
I watched this live on TV, it really made me proud to be a UK citizen, my Queen and only Queen i had known all my life up to this point i even remember being a boy scout and having to learn the national anthems i could recite it, times have so changed, R.I.P your majesty, you will be missed.
We didn't just say goodbye to our Queen. We said goodbye to an era and a pillar from and a significant link to the past. People were born and have died only ever knowing Elizabeth II as a monarch.
I'm American, I hear her majesty loved the sound of the pipes. Me too.
Our beautiful Soveriegn Lady - Gone from us but never forgotten, there will never be another to equal Her most gracious Majesty!
Ma‘am you‘d have loved this. Rest in peace, Queen Elizabeth II.
Yes she would. She would have been so proud of her "boys " and "girls" . They did an absolutely amazing job.
She was known as the boss! to us old soldiers who served under her 2 years still feels like yesterday to me I miss my Queen and that beautiful smile RIP mam it was an hour to serve you as one of your guards💂💂♂💂♀
Every one of those military people taking part swore allegiance to her and were proud to take part to honour her.
I miss the Queen, but I come back and watch this once in a while. I don't know why.
This moment in history touches the heart deeply. Elizabeth ll was a rock in our world. This footage and sound of the bagpipes is amazing for the her lament.
You gave her a wonderful send off, thank you Scotland 👏
Both parts of the arrangements in Edinburgh and london were well done and all should be congratulated
The most powerful and haunting music on the planet
Agreed. RIP queen Elizabeth 👸 🙏
It felt like my own grandmother had passed. 😢 no one and I mean no one does this better than the British the military. Rest now my queen and thank you for your service ❤
You don’t get this kind of ceremony and presentation unless you have a royal house still. Most other major western countries are presidential or parliamentary democracies or republics and thus, have no royalty to make such ceremonial presentations for. Vive le roi.
The uniforms, the colors, the panoply, Queen Elizabeth has earned all of this and more. Rest in Peace Good Queen, thou good and faithful servant of the Lord. May angels take you to your rest until we're altogether again in His Kingdom.
gosh, it’s hard to believe she’s actually gone, rest in peace your Majesty and thank you
Everyone of those servicemen tough as their boots, yet many had a tear in their eye.
Well done lads.
Lovely and very fitting to a Majestic Lady. Love from Ireland. ❤️🇮🇪
Thankyou nicely said !
As an American who has heavy Celtic ancestry, anytime I hear pipes as beautifully sounding as these, I instinctively shed a tear. We would all be so lucky to have such a beautiful send-off to the great beyond..
Funny Americans don't like immigrants, but they forget they, themselves, are the product of immigration
This is what makes Britain Great Britain. Our military and our sovereign is what makes it powerful
If anything with our new government and world politics I can’t see it getting better
As Her Majesty wanted it...the Pipes and Drums mournful yet uplifting to the spirit of all.
The massed pipes always gets me in the guts. No exception here for the Queens funeral. RIP Elizabeth. Your son, Charles will make a great king after the years of training and the fine example you set him. Long live the King!
Nobody does it better than the British
amen to that!
Mist on the Mountains. Now that's a send-off. As an American and fan of pipes and drums, this was incredible to listen and witness. The practice and discipline and synchrony of the marchers and pall bearers that this took is beyond impressive. Kudos to the British military. Brits and Scots alike should be proud.

The Queen loved Scotland and Scotland loved her 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
She was half Scottish
Half of Scotland yes..but the other half taunted her by singing vile songs at football games
It was the most sad but also most beautiful thing i have ever seen!
Everytime i hear bagpipes it makes me feel so sad. Im not even Scottish or Irish. Just seeing this makes me tear up. May the Queen rest in peace. After seeing these ceremonies. Made me hug my own mother and tell her i love her very much. How much I appreciate her. Our mothers and grandmothers are the glue to our families. Condolences and respects go out to the Royal family and their staff. God bless from the US.
What's Irish got to do with this!!!!! This has nothing to do with the Irish! Jesus Christ!!
Northern Irish yes! But I presume you mean the Republic of Ireland because you are an American! Republic of Ireland is not in the UK!! Ireland is an independent country.

Woody.EXE played this during our procession and the haunting music was just ripping through my house and the whole of my home St Julian’s could hear it. The tribute we both did as King and Queen of Wales was incredible; that was the same day that Woody.EXE gave my sister the royal title of Princess of Wales
Who the hell is Woody.EXE and why are you posting stuff like this on a real funeral procession, with a real dead queen? This woman had mills upon mills of pounds and euros yet sickos like you comment this stupid 2 year old nonsense on actual governmental problems? Get some help at calling 911 or Mental Health Agency.
Ah Yes Debbie, the Skirl of the Scottish Pipes as a Scotsman Myself will always turn my Heart & a Lament will always turn my Soul, The Drums as well will make the Hairs on the Back of my Neck Stand Up !!
Stunning !!!
The same tunes that her mother, the queen mother had for her final journey, the Only difference, the late queen mother also had Oft in the stilly night.
This is when it hit home.

This is absolutely Faultless and everyone taking part the world saw this immaculate send off to a amazing lady.
yeh me too never been a royalist but man they smashed it out of the park it was just perfect = if a funeral can be perfect
The Queen was amazing. She really displayed something eternal, somehow holy and untouchable strength.
A truly amazing person of such self control and honor.
My deepest respect from Germany
In my mind, she kept up, something like a cultural spirit,
which I do miss now in Germany.
We lost our culture,
We lost our spirits.
We definitely gave her the send-off she deserved.
There’s nothing like the pipes and drums ❤ makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck 😢 truly amazing x

Rest in Peace Elizabeth, Queen of Scots ❤️
It's a shame the Irish in Glasgow don't feel the same
I’m English not Scottish and I have loved the pipes since I was a kid, but then a few years back I found out my grandmother was actually born in Edinburg and managed to trace back that side of my lineage nearly three hundred years. So who knows, maybe it’s the bloodline that stirs in me when I hear the pipes.
@@kevinsteadman7215 Yeah. They seem to Hate the British Armed forces, Scots who like being British, The English, Protestants. Quite sad really. They should probably move.
I think that when the pipes fire up and the drums start rattling, everyone wants to be a bit Scottish.
She was involved in her funeral planning and it shows the extent to which she was Scotland's Queen first as much as anyone else's and how big a part of her life Scotland was.

When we , as British, execute a ceremony, albeit sad, to the precision that touches hearts worldwide and echoes admiration and respect.

Our Queen served her life to her citizens. She never waivered. She was always there, even in the darkest of times when we were unable to be together.
