Great driving man. Very well balanced car. Porsche guy will be dreaming angry minies in rear view mirrors for some time :-)
I have a 2004 R53 with some performance mods, around 240HP... I love how the MINI can hang in there with the Porsches, costing 4-5x the price!
R53 is best dude... that supercharger sound is so ook statisfying.
They also look more car.. i feel the newer look a bit too playful and plastic.
@@unknownip6741 Imagine if instead of a new model, they just improved on the r53 for the 2nd and 3rd gen. Would’ve been much better

My MINI makes 244HP. Sure, the Boxter probably would go faster around the track with the same driver, but I catch Boxters all the time at my local track.
@woodyoop weird I've got the same thing but my speeds don't update like that.

which GPS do you use? and is it plugged in to your iPhone? then how do you feed it, or does it stay on for long on battery alone?
i'm planning on buying a set-up and looking for tips...
hopefully with a Mini GP2 in the near future...

Used to have a JCW (R56)... I still miss it.
My old man has a GT3 himself. Though I cannot hope to keep up with him like that. We're pretty even in terms of driving but that Porsche tears up the track in the right hands.
Those Minis were like a rash.. A BIG BAD Porsche ass rash.

@TheLifePerfect What losing? The Porsche got by while the MINIs were stuck behind some lamer. They then nearly caught the GT3 when the wrecker (with another stupid VW beetle on it.) stopped any chance of that.

@eltotoX Hell yea! You can compare a mini with the BMW 1 series, you see them everywhere but they are so awful!
Style does also count, so the Porsche does always win against a hatchback..

***** Well on the Nordschleife it's more about the driver's skill and knowledge of the track instead of the car he drives. A good driver in a GT3 will annihilate the mini.

dein schalten ist viel zu langsam und das anbremsen etwas arg ängstlich. Aber nicee Video anyway.

the car in front of the camera.........the driver of the car with the camera could have passed them multiple times.
Porsche can go faster but the mini driver is driving like a knob and wont let him past. Porsche driver hanging back as he realises this.
A 2008 987 Boxster has 245BHP - even that driven by a decent driver would leave your MINI behind.
There is no way a souped-up MINI would hold a candle to a GT3, with even a semi-decent driver on board.
Obviously the GT3 driver had more money than driving skills.
