Thank you Anthony. Good job. I agree, these are the best connectors on the market. These are used allot on Caterpillar equipment. The adjustable crimper is nice, but expensive $300 when I worked with them 5 years ago. Have a blessed and safe week to you and your family.

Thanks for sharing, didn't know CAT used them a lot, makes sense due to the harsh environment that equipment sees. Best wishes to you and your family as well!

I like those connectors very much. Great for removing components to access other work. That's a professional style of installation. In my opinion although, I prefer doing it to NASA standards and tining both the wires and pin cups. Then heat pin and slide the tinted wire in. I would recommend doing this method anywhere outside the cabin. Before sliding the rear seals and main connector, apply a pea size drop or more drop of dielectric grease. This will make the connector virtually corrosion proof.

how do the non TE DT connectors hold up. i know they can save quite a bit of coin over getting the TE branded deutsch connectors. just curious if you've noticed any negatives

So far so good. If it's going to be in the elements I put some dielectric grease in the plug incase they don't seal as good as the original stuff.

Hi, I'm converting a few of my early 1994 Harley-Davidson connectors to Deutch. I discovered one of the ports has 2 wires going into it. I would imagine that trying to force 2 wires into one of the Deutch connectors is a "no-no"? In my case would it be best to peel back some of the insulation and soldier the two together and then use one port? Can't seem to find an answer to this. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and advice. I hope my above question made sense.

The 2 wires you want to connect to each other. They do the same thing?

@@kennethwise7108 you can use a 16 or 14 gauge pin to combine those wires and crimp them. Use a little electric grease to help it slip through the seal.

@@DVXCine Yup I made a mistake and realized it and corrected myself. Does that mean you have to comment in that manner?
You've never made a mistake with orientation of something you're working with?
