Question. What is done about waterproofing the electrical connection. This off road build will need to address water, and it might be fairly high, particularly wires running front to rear at the floor board level. These might not be the kind I am looking for.
No. The seal plugs are the same for the plug or the receptacle. They are held in place by the rear wire seal, which is identical for the plug or receptacle.
Do yourself a favor and giddy-up on the closed-barrel connectors. They will require the special crimper tool, but they are so much nicer to work with. Hope this helps. Here is a link to a relevant video for extra reference & context >>> ua-cam.com/video/asWl42BPfbE/v-deo.html *_TRUST !!_* ♂≠♀
Just started using the Deutsch connectors. They're awesome.
This is the best explanatory Deutsch connector video, the fog has lifted ! Thank you
Moving to Deutsche for my DIY projects and this was really helpful. Appreciate the excellent video.
Would you recommend DT for motorcycle light wiring? I’m adding a street legal kit to a dirt bike.
Great video. Do you have a more in depth video on a DTM connector?

nicely explained
Hi.. what's the ratcheting crimper you held up in this video for the open barrel connectors? It had red handles
Awesome video thanks for the help
Need close ups of the pin and lock insertions to make the videos useful.
What's the difference between the gray and black deutsch connectors????
What is the standard for which plug is the power side?
I assume female but it uses male pins so it’s a tad confusing
I really like the DT Connector, but with the 14AWG pin/sockets… particularly useful for motorbikes and ATV use.
Awesomeness
Guys how do you use these on sensors and stuff that already have the plug in the sensor housing?
Can you use 2 wires in a 3 way DT connector
yes
Yes, but plug the unused hole
1000 subs. woo woo
good video- would have been better if you had provided a close up of pinning and depinning;thank,s pjp
Great
Please show a video of the proper disconnection procedure of the male and female connectors. They are very difficult to separate!!!!
Are there male and female cavity plugs
No. The seal plugs are the same for the plug or the receptacle. They are held in place by the rear wire seal, which is identical for the plug or receptacle.
