The 80's Toy Expo at Mississauga was on the 4th, I'm no time traveller! I did go, but didn't find much. I filmed a bit, but I think I'll go to the July 13th Toy Expo (which will be much bigger) before making another haul video.
I don't have any in my collection, but I see them at toy shows. The cardboard used for the cardbacks and boxes are very thin and the plastic used for the figures is different (probably the vehicles too, but I don't know for sure). The paint jobs are a bit sloppy, but the main attraction for collectors are the color variations in figures and vehicles. You may want to check out collector forums like YoJoe and HISSTank where many members specialize in collecting Funskool (and Nilco) toys. They can tell you a lot more than I can!
I have this figure (I think I bought him for $5 through mail order. Now days, he goes for about $200 - $400). I've always liked him.

This Is The Only GI Joe Figure (1982-1987) That I Don't Have MISP. (I Collected The Figures...Not The Vehicles.)
