Shane was an incredibly heavy drinker, drug addict and smoker He's anti heroin now but he still drinks to this day Surprisingly enough he's still alive and in his 60s but he suffers hugely
Both are legends of Irish music. Shane is an incredible artist flawed but his talent writing incredible songs cannot be denied. And that's from coming from a Sassenach

Sinead's beautiful voice and Shane's gritty voice work well together. He's got this voice of a man who maybe had a few pint's too many in a smoke filled bar with his mates while Sinead has a voice of a loving angel that is pure bliss but do not be a dishonest fool or she will call you out on it. i.e. the SNL gig when she tears up a photo of the pope and says "Fight the real enemy".
She has bipolar, it makes you do stuff you wouldn't normally do, I have it also, I like to inform people of what happens when people have bipolar, it's a lot more than that, it's complicated, it can take 9 years to diagnose
