You are really fortunate. This park is closed indefinitely due to the Earthquake that was 3 months ago. I am so fortunate I went several years ago. When we went we had to wear hard hats for the actual gorge tour. It's really beautifulI! I was schedule to go again the day after the earthquake. Of course, we couldn't go. So sad that there's been so much damage due to the 7.2 quake. It's really unsafe due to the after shocks. I feel bad for the indigenous and local people there who depend tourism for their jobs. May God find them other sources of income. Condolences to the families of those hikers and family that died on the trails walking paths sure to the quake. I pray that God gives their families comfort in the pain of their loss.

I found some Chinese people leaving comments here love to compare, saying that Taiwan is not good and China is better. Every place has its own culture, characteristics and advantages, and Taiwan cannot compare. They say that China has no democracy and freedom of speech, and that the Chinese passport has low global validity. , the medical quality is low, the welfare system and wages are lower than those in Taiwan, etc. Taiwanese people generally lead a much happier life than Chinese people.
Oh, if you love this place, I highly recommend you to go back to Mainland China and visit places like Yunan province and Jiuzhaiguo in Chengdu (sichuan province), the natural scenery of which is M-U-C-H M-O-R-E beautiful and ten times more stunning than this!

China considers Taiwan as theirs. on August 2023 China has produced their map which includes India's state Arunachal Pradesh, Vietnam’s Paracel and Spratly islands, whole Taiwan and others as part of China. this map of China has been rejected strongly by India Taiwan Philippines Vietnam and Malaysia. China already has border disputes with over 20 countries, the modern day imperialist.
As someone from mainland China who teaches political science in the UK, I feel sad about how people’s political opinions prevent them from appreciating the landscape, the culture, the people or the food in certain parts of the world. There are better places to advocate for what you believe, so keep it out of this comment section please. We’re all just here to chill. 😎
