I have to say that the toilets of the trains in Taiwan are much more spacious than in mainland China. It’s actually pretty good that there are urinals in the toilets. The space of the carriages is also bigger, which is absolutely amazing. However, because of the massive population in mainland China, the space resource is limited. That’s why there are more seats and less room in mainland China’s trains.

Hahaha, Taiwanese high speed train is Japanese train, speed up to about 300 km/h, pretty fast. However, it’s fundamentally different from China mainland high speed train. Taiwan HSR is more like an intercity metro extension because the island is so small and distance is short and mainland HSR is alternative to air plane, way longer in distance than taiwan. Every time I visit Taipei, I would take HSR to Taichung for lunch and come back, only an hour ride and no need to buy ticket in advance. Riding from Shanghai to Beijing on the other hand is a journey needs planning. As a foreigner, the inconvenience of needing passport to buy ticket and travel in mainland is way less easy than in taiwan.
The HSR in Taiwan is pretty cool from Taipei to Kaohsiung as for the ease of buying tickets in mainland, we usually do it online so it’s been very convenient 😊
The trains in both Taiwan and China are much better than they are in the UK and cheaper. We're over charged to sit in run down old rolling stock with knackered seats in some cases and poor service in the UK. I like travelling by rail but generally find it a disappointing experience in the UK. Years ago I travelled from Kuala Lumpar to Bangkok by rail and that was an impressive journey. When I visit China if there's an opportunity to travel by train I'll jump at the chance.
And the winner is? 😉🙃From what I remember the train I took in China, Shenzhen-Guangzhou, was hyper modern. This Taiwan train looks modern as well but a bit dated.
The high speed railway system in Taiwan province was entirely imported from Japan more than 20 years ago, while mainland China has its own high speed railway technology, which means its trains and lines are always evolving and have more new technology.
I saw your other video about how "they" can never make you hate China first. Then I found this vid. As a matter of fact, it is not even near the top 70. But it has many large major train accidents in last few years that could be easily preventable. THSR just need to do a better job since train would easily be the safest way to travel especially with the higher capacity and faster speed. There’s no competition at all 👍🏻😊
。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。
You can see Taiwan and China are two very different countries. Taiwan is a democracy country with freedom and human rights. China is a third world country with dictatorship.
At least you can eat food safely in Taiwan , but not in China.
China food is safe
I am living in Shanghai
