Watching this as I’m sitting in my hotel room in Taipei, preparing to fly back to the USA tomorrow, after over 4 months in Asia. I only spent 4 days in Taiwan - 2 in Taipei city and 2 in Juifen, but I’m already thinking about coming back for at least 10 days so I can do a road trip south and see all the beautiful nature Taiwan has to offer. I really love it here, so it’s cool to see some travel vloggers visiting recently.
It's been wonderful to see so many people exploring Taiwan since it has fully opened up. Taiwan, like Japan, is quickly becoming a top choice for independent travelers as a result of global news coverage and current events. I consider myself extremely fortunate to live in such a vibrant and culturally diverse place.
Thank you for taking the beauty of Jiaming Lake into a video. There are also many amazing hiking trails worth visiting in Taiwan: Shei-pa National Park, Alishan Forest Recreation Area, Taroko National Park, and Yushan National Park. Welcome to visit these places and have different unforgettable experiences.
Your guide is very handsome 🥰 And Taiwan is such a beautiful country, can't wait to visit it ❤️ thanks for sharing your experience there so beautifully
Taiwan is so beautiful that you can't breathe❤ Thank you from the bottom of my heart for capturing my country so perfectly🇹🇼 I hope Taiwan brings you good memories🌈 Taiwan I love you forever❤️🔥
Taiwan looks like such an amazing country to visit. The mountains are so picturesque with the beautiful deep green and the earthy rocks. The lake looked wonderful and the drone footage was on point. jiayou!
Absolutely stunning video. I knew very little about Taiwan, and this blew me away! Those drone shots, holy heck, some Attenborough quality clips!!?! Utterly unreal, thanks for this.
What a masterpiece Hannah, now I see why you insisted on bringing the 400mm! You really captivated the essence of nature. You are such an inspiration. Looking forward to your travels!
That was such a fantastic video! Having lived nearly 20 years in taiwan as an Aussie, this place is amazing. I have wanted to do that hike for a long long time and now after seeing your vid, I will def get round to it. Thanks keep up the great work!
Hannah! This is such a beautiful video of Taiwan! Thank you for all the amazing footage of Japan and Taiwan. The videos inspire me to hike and explore more of the nature.
Thank you so much for these 2 videos!!! The words are too weak to express what I feel! The shots, the editing are aaaammmaaaaazzzziiiiiinnnggg!!! So much hard work thank you!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Stunning quality and great scenery overall. Would watch a full feature length film of it! Never knew this side of taiwan, thanks for bringing it to our attention!
Fascinating video, no matter the image or sound is perfectly matched, although you brought a lot of heavy equipment, but the quality of the final video is really worth it! Thank you for making this video! Really good!
You only need to apply for permits for popular high altitude hikes in national parks. There are endless (literally thousands if not tens of thousands) other lower altitude (aka more tropical jungle) hikes / waterfall adventures where permits are not needed! While high-altitude hiking (>2000m) in Taiwan is gorgeous - there's so much more! I personally love the lower-altitude (< 1500m) river / waterfall hikes in Taiwan. Turquoise / Azure waters - none of that muddy / grey looking rivers, beautifully colored rocks / marble canyons, lush jungle vibe while looking up and feeling the scale of the 2-3000M mountains just in front of you...simply changes your relationship with mother earth
Germany’s Berlin newspaper Tagesspiegel reported extensively on the global influence of Taiwan’s semiconductor industry, pointing out that Taiwan is the most important place on the surface of the earth. If Taiwan’s chip supply is lost, global development will stagnate, so protect Taiwan Freedom from Chinese aggression is crucial.
Quality of your video is just amazing.. i wish you would visit (Nepal🇳🇵) someday.. the hike you can do and things you can enjoy here is limitless, love your contents❤
That summit was incredible, so intensely beautiful with the clouds. Loved your drone shots and video as always, and that 100-400 is something else too haha. Thanks for bringing us along on another adventure!
Hiking Jiaming lake is on my bucket list, your video is really encouraging me to hike there immediately. thanks, it is really an amazing video everything is so so stunning. I really enjoyed this video :DD
Just watched it at home now in OC California. I've been to Taiwan several times and I never knew they have this besutiful hiking ground. Thank you! I enjoyed it.
I've hiked Yangmingshan, Elephant Mountain, and Alishan Forest, so I'll definitely put Jiaming Lake on my list. And sorry for saying this, but it has been my pet peeve when English speakers complained of the lack of English speakers in countries where English wasn't an official language. One would say that learning English is a must if they want tourists, so can I also expect that if I go to your home country, there would be Cantonese translations in every tourist spot to cater to my needs as a non-English speaking tourist? I highly doubt it. If you want a handy English translator to accompany you on your hikes, hire one. Moreover, it is absolutely doable to hike without a translator, my friend and I survived by just reading maps they hand out at the entrance of every trail.
Wow wow!! Great job Hannah!👏 You are a legend in Taiwan. The way you present it just stunning and breathtaking, every ounce weight on your back was totally worth it.👍 Without your pain on your back won’t be any priceless joy of ours. We’re really really appreciate it!! ❤😊
6:51 Que lugar incrível. Muitos lugares para conhecer. Vamos ( let's go). Senti falta no vídeo de detalhes (details) . Os takes com a 100~400mm é show. Abraços de alguem que acompanha do Brasíl. 🤜🤛
Traveling in Taiwan, please don’t just stay few days, you will miss a lot amazing places .Jiaming lake locate in my city ,Taitung, one of places I recommend people to visit.
I always wondered how you coped with the weight of all your camera gear, I guess it's all about being fit as fuck. I'm always optimising my bag to try not to suffer much, but the shoooooootssss. These were the best drone shots I've seen on your channel. Stunning, maybe some of the best I ever seen. Clouds just make it work... specially when accelerated.
If you like Ghibli, I highly recommend you to visit Alishan. Alishan is relatively easy to visit. It is also recommended that you stay in Alishan for one night and have the opportunity to see the sea of clouds and sunrise the next morning. During March-April, various cherry blossoms are in full bloom to welcome you. Come to Taiwan hope you will be satisfied with all the experience and enjoy it
Just came from Japan 1 week ago and booked all the hotels this december. Will go again. 😅 Am thinking to do 1-2 nights layover in Taiwan. Think enough time for a hike cause was doing it in Japan and in Europe a lot. How is in Taiwan with public transport in such areas as you are?
Beautiful video. I’ve rented the 100-400 and found it heavy even on short hikes. Great photos out of it though with that extra reach and compression. I wonder how the 70-200 GM II with a teleconverter would be?
Great video, beautiful shots. For my hiking videos I have paired down my camera equipment to a7siii with 24-105 with air2s. If you know it isn't going to be windy then the mini 3 pro would be ideal. Carrying the mavic 3 + 100-400 lens is just too much... HEAVY!
I don't know HOW IN THE WORLD your channel has escaped my knowledge but I found you today and subbed. ❤ lots of love from Texas and thank you for such fantastic content!!

There’s so much incredibly beauty in the countryside of Taiwan so I highly recommend taking a trip south!
Which hotel were you at? I’m currently in shangrila :D
歡迎你們來台灣
我無法表達台灣有多麼的美
無法用語言表達
山上,離島的海邊,善良的人
總有會讓你想要回來的理由

I really hope it gets more recognition in the future as a travel destination! I really loved my time there!
Still waiting Taiwan to open up to my country, Jiaming Lake and Yushan and two of my must-hike destinations.😍
台灣超過3000M有268座(百岳代表其中)⋯台灣山岳是被低估的一塊璞玉⋯老嚮導言(1988~1995)!
Realmente é incrível, abraços do Brasil 🇧🇷
The videography and choice of background music is simply awesome!
I love how you captured the beautiful nature
The aerial shots are stunning. Jiaming lake or also known Angel's tear is on my list to hike here in Taiwan.
5:33 that solitary tree looks absolutely gorgeous omg
Thank you for taking the beauty of Jiaming Lake into a video. Jiaming Lake is known as the Tears of Angels. And the scenery along the mountain trail is truly heavenly beautiful.
Stunning, great story telling, I was incredibly captivated. Going to have to show my wife add Taiwan to our list! Thanks Hannah!
Oh my goodness. Absolutely stunning! It really feels different to Japan. I hope you go back for more in the future 👍❤️👍
The movie Seediq Bale was my introduction to Taiwan.
As someone who just visited Taiwan last year for 2 weeks, i can't wait to go back one day.
The sea of clouds is like a fantasy.
Great vlog Hannah!!! Taiwan looks incredible!
As a Taiwanese, I could say this is one of my favorite routes!! It's easy, beginner-friendly and really good view in literally everywhere. Nice one!
Are you living in TW all your life? Chinese ethnicity blooded or foreign blood living there?
Taiwan is so beautiful that you can't breathe❤
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for capturing my country so perfectly🇹🇼
I hope Taiwan brings you good memories🌈
Taiwan I love you forever❤️🔥

Absolutely stunning video. I knew very little about Taiwan, and this blew me away! Those drone shots, holy heck, some Attenborough quality clips!!?! Utterly unreal, thanks for this.
Hannah, you took some of the most impressive mountain with cloud video I've ever seen. Especially with the sun setting. Absolutely stunning.
I'm so glad you got to experience Taiwan's mountains. Love your video.
Absolutely breathtaking scenery, your cinematography and composition is simply unmatched my friend! Truly majestic masterpiece!
What a masterpiece Hannah, now I see why you insisted on bringing the 400mm! You really captivated the essence of nature. You are such an inspiration. Looking forward to your travels!
Thank you Javier for all your help and enthusiasm! I definitely needed it by the end 😅
Holy sheizze, some shots are really magical! You have such a great eye and I always feel you make the best music choices of any travel UA-camr.
Thank you Tommy 🥰
Thank you, beautiful scenery and great drone footage
Beautiful Film, Beautiful Taiwan ❤
I had no idea Taiwan was so beautiful! Now I want to go….Taiwan is a democracy almost like Norway and Sweden, hope it stays that way❤
It’s always been very beautiful, and food is so good
That was such a fantastic video! Having lived nearly 20 years in taiwan as an Aussie, this place is amazing. I have wanted to do that hike for a long long time and now after seeing your vid, I will def get round to it. Thanks keep up the great work!
徒步環島一定要去做的事情
建議你西邊往南行
或者東邊往北
這樣就能靠海岸線走👍
Absolutely beautiful, each and every single shot.

I got no words watching this... The cinematic shots are just top. The color of the footages are also miracle...

Love that you came to Taiwan though - Taiwan is the next hidden gem to be uncovered and seen by the world :)
I’ve just scrolled your very first video, n impressed by the progress of what you’ve been doing during this 6 years. Keep working on Hannah

This is the best hiking film to Jiaming Lake.
Oh My God, that is amazing. i will go hike there someday

I'm thankful for your mistake in overpacking. The footage you put together is breathtakingly gorgeous.

I have watched your videos for so long. I even remember all the way back to Singapore.
1 Word: Beautiful.

歡迎來臺灣 拍的很漂亮 喜歡爬山的話 建議去南湖大山 有冰河遺蹟 很漂亮的大草原 綿延的山勢

Thank you for showing us the extra ordinarily beautiful side of Taiwan that the media have rarely shown.
We do a lot of lottery systems for conservation in the American Southwest too. ❤
