I had to sell insurance a long time ago via these types of often cold leads. It was horrible.
I actually used to think I was a horrible salesman until I started my own business and recognized that when I am selling people something they want, I'm an amazing salesperson.

Everyone has had a bad break at some point or another. I know I had a couple when I was 19 and 20. I'm 53 now, financially successful, have a good family and marriage and just a generally great and happy life. If I had lived in the past and lamented about it my entire life then I never would have gone from a little unhappy person to the great life I have today. The victim mentality is either someone living in the past or someone living with a horrible desire to blame everyone but themselves for anything that happens.
