Awesome video .!!!. Nice to see what you guys were up too before I showed up :) Such a nice time meeting you ... look forward to our next encounter and the results of the test you guys took ..All the best in your exploration!!
I’ve been watching Dan Hurd for a number of years. Plus another pal of his Pioneer Pauly. Both British Columbia Canada guys. Thks for getting together with Dan. Will be waiting for the results.
I love Dan and so glad we didn’t lose him a while back. The episode where he and Pioneer Pauly ran into the claim jumpers was epic. They weren’t casual panners but rather full blown. His picture stone claims are great as well. Hey Jason, you going to be working yours next month?
Dan is the is amazing I hope I get to meet him! Dan! Come to the Portland Oregon gold show next year!! It would be really cool to meet you! Much love from Eugene Oregon!
Awesome Jason, loved your events with Jeff as well, I just picked up a claim and mine in Clear Creek CO. Looking really good so far. Wishing you all the best!
Hi Dan, just want to thank you for your presice explanations and information about your experience, i cant find my own minerals as here it is verry dangerous and cost a lot, but by wathing you i can live my dream with you, thank you so much,
Hey Jason are you still in B.C? I was just wondering cause I would like to talk to you about a place on your way home that might just be fun to have a look at. There is a source near by in a rich known area and the possible field is not that big. Would like to show you some of the researching have done over the past few years. Hit me back Hope you and Dan had a great time. I hear he is a blast of fun to be around and knowledgeable as all hell be. Thanks for the the video. Hope I hear back from you before you leave Vancouver or over the boarder. But if so there is always another time. 🙂 Cheers
Jason, You're The Man.......Everyone Really Appreciates Your Skills!......I Was Working In The Lab, Late One Night! LOL!..... Get Busy Bud, Your An ASSET! LOL! (Pun Intended)........
You know if your hanging out with random UA-camrs like Dan and all the other big people :P you should tag team up with CodysLab and give him a reason to do a video. I knew once I saw the thumbnail of your shorts with him I was waiting in anticipation until this came out and had free time!
VERY interesting and educational. A half-century ago, I loved photography and exploring the mining camps and ghost towns of my native state of Nevada. I was coming out of Jessup one day and encountered a fellow coming in. I stopped, he stopped, and we got to talking. He was a professor at the MacKey School of Mines at UNR, and also a mining geologist. I followed him back in, he took some samples he wanted to test, and then he spent the next several hours, teaching mining geology and explaining the geology of the region. The man obviously impressed the hell out of me, if I'm recalling it, fifty+ years later. Had I not already been entrenched in my career, he could have easily been persuaded into going back to school, and done what you do for a living!!
Dan, may I ha e a link for that fines setup that was about 2' tall with the transparent tall tubing sections with the recirculation ability? It was a system that you did a bit of a demonstration for us with, and I thought it was within your last seven videos, but I could be wrong as I have not yet found it to get the link that you posted. Please and thank you. I have a question that I thought I would try on you and I don't have a very good description of it, but it was a system that used A centrifuge like system of water flow for separation many years ago, and it was proven to be extremely efficient, at the time of there was only one outfit that produced it as it was patented. Thanks you for your time, Thank you for your videos and, if I had the money I would rain it down on you. I appreciate all your efforts in presenting contact for us.👍
I have silver mixed with aluminum how can I separate it and I'm having a hard time with the slag it just dont want to smelt do I need hot heat or is there something I can do
Very nice!!!! im going out to BC next month on a prospecting expedition, going to be an amazing experience!!! Great to see you and Dan working together in this video!!!! Cheers!!!!
Hey Jason, I really enjoy seeing videos of prospecting to smelting to show us the entire mining process. By the way what a great geology lesson as well.....Scott
Jason, I am really enjoying this searies of videos where you are visiting other UA-cam Prospectors. It is really great to see you collaborating with others and showing what others are doing and what they are prospecting for. Please keep it up. Also I look forward to watching you separate the ore out on the turn key system and the smelting. Thanks for all you do. Carroll - Prineville Oregon
Here's a thought on why they quit mining there: gold was $27 per US a gram Jan.1980. Within 4 years it was less than $9 per gram. Gold went from $900 per troy oz to $200 so it cost more to get it out as gas prices were high about that time.Sort of what our situation is right now.
About "Pack rats", They were called trading rats by pioneers and gold miners because they have an attraction for "sparkly " things. spoons, coins, watches, gold nuggets, hat pins ect. They will leave an acorn where you last set your nugget/coin, hence the trading rat. Just like crows and ravens. When in gold miner territories look for old, abandoned rat nest piles and dig there. Raven nests in trees have turned arrowheads, fishing lures, spoons, gold-silver coin. Many a miner camp has been filled with mistrust because of these lil critters. Foxes are also camp thieves
@26:16 - That pack rat looks a LOT like our chinchillas. Round bodies, larger ears and a bushed out tail like a squirrel. Of course chinchillas are furry and soft and are more like puppies.
He'll yea Jason I been waiting for this video for weeks it seems excited for all the collaborations your doing would love to come along with you on your adventures that'd be awesome thanks for the videos and helping me understand the whole process like you do your awesome. Dan is a great guy too a wealth of knowledge right there. Keep up the awesome videos
This is Such a great Colab. I stumbled upon Dan and Yourself one Saturday a few years back. So great seeing you guys working together. Can't wait for the results!
Jason do you have any advice how to sample the very hard vein material. Hammer, chisel, demolition hammer are jumping just. The concrete saw with the diamond disc cuts the sampling channel but makes a lot of dust and does not go deep enough to make it representative. Which other option do we have underground, blasting ?
I'd love to prospect with the experts and see important mineral details first-hand. Alas, I am stuck on the opposite side of the continent in the toxic wastelands of New Jersey! I've found gold flecks in several glacial moraines, but they are foil-thin and thus don't concentrate easily in the little streams. They wash around easily. Up on some mountainsides, long ago I found rusty seams of quartz. I plan to revisit some in late autumn when the tick and biting fly numbers drop off. Right now they're HORRIBLE.
Very cool watching 2 of my favorite youtubers in the same video. Jason, I drive past your shop several times a week, thanks for the videos on how the processing plant operates.
Awesome video .!!!. Nice to see what you guys were up too before I showed up :) Such a nice time meeting you ... look forward to our next encounter and the results of the test you guys took ..All the best in your exploration!!

Good stuff, guys.
Dan reminds me of that guy in the gold grabbing game.
You know your channel has hit the mainstream when you collaborate with Dan Hurd.

Where is the follow up on this video lol
Could this be why the hwys along the Columbia "Lake Roosevelt" are buckling and collapsed in so many areas?
Dan Hurd does a much better job than the people who produce Gold Rush. Gold Rush is extremely better.
I have silver mixed with aluminum how can I separate it and I'm having a hard time with the slag it just dont want to smelt do I need hot heat or is there something I can do
Looks like the battery is ewearing out!
In such ores, does gold show up without roasting first?
semua proses sangat menarik ,jika aku punya semua ,mungkin aku bisa banyak belajar
Jason how do I send you samples to smelt ?
These collaborations are off the chart! I’m a sub of Dan’s and your channel, love the content for sure
so what if I thought I had a 300 pound or more of jadeite ??

Great to see you two working together. 🙂
No picture. just sound..
As gold is metal, can you not find gold using a metal detector.
These Collaborations get better and better. Well done Dan. And Jason always enjoyable when you bring your knowledge and experience to bear.
@26:16 - That pack rat looks a LOT like our chinchillas. Round bodies, larger ears and a bushed out tail like a squirrel. Of course chinchillas are furry and soft and are more like puppies.

Awesome!!!
How do you define what is a hanging wall and a foot wall?
By the slope of the vein, foot wall is the “bottom” hanging wall is the top. Hanging wall ->/ vein/
